  • Extremely smart kid. Extremely talented too.

  • love his ebay comment!! Very cute, hope he makes more appearances like Emily Bear!

  • wow its a contemporer piece, for the first time i heard.....

  • Somebody who plays the piano can you explain why he taps the top of the piano midway while playing the song??

  • @rachelyjs it's a contemporary piece that he's playing and the composer has chosen to include tapping the piano and "plucking the strings" to be part of it.

  • he's so adorable :)

and very good at piano. haha.

  • he talks alot ..,..

  • This kid goes to my school and i never knew he was this boss!! he's my new besty. im in 7th grade he's in 6th

  • @halomaniac8795 jordannn

  • i don't understand decomposing joke.. im not a native speaker...can anyone explain about it?

  • @nomang3996 he said that that some of his favorite composers are decomposing. decomposing as in they are dead and their bodies are rotting

  • @tcottarel so, it's funny because of the rhyme of composing and decomposing?

  • @nomang3996 no. decomposing means rotting. people rot when they are dead. he is saying that his favorite musicians are dead, and therefore they are rotting (decomposing)

  • @tcottarel then, why is this a joke? she is still composing unlike most of the composers i like who are already decomposing... isn't it just a fact? is it funny?

  • @nomang3996 Like you said, you're not a native speaker. It's hard to explain you a joke like this. To americans, it is funny.

  • @tcottarel ok, thank you for your kind answer :)

  • @nomang3996

Yes it's funny. It's clever, it was spoken by a 7 year old. It was also spoken by someone who doesn't speak English natively.

  • LMAO at the way he says, "Do you know your monkey stole my beer?!?!"

  • he sounds so rehearsed but i love him he's so cute

  • can someone say witty?

  • Can I get this kid please?!! Whoooa.. Love him

  • Yu are re-Marc-able!!!

  • Whahahaha Hero!! :P

  • He is amazing but I hate how rehearsed he is, he's a kid let him be spontaneous!

  • @hoodloz I completely agree with you. The 'decomposing' pun was obviously not his own.

  • This kid is insanely good!

  • he goes to my school

  • @chrissiemoocow shut up you ass dnt be jealous

  • hahahaha he's hilarious(:

'can you sign it so that i can sell it on ebay?'

  • i dun understand the joke at all..y does talk liktat?

  • The pianist thinks that he is being asked if he knows a song named "Your monkey stole my beer?" when the patron asks "Do you know you monkey stole my beer?". Of course, he doesn't know such a song and says to the angry patron "No, but if you hum it, I'll play it", all in all a funny misunderstanding.

He speaks like that because English probably isn't his first language

  • OMG!!!!!! HES SO EFFING CUTE.

  • SO CUTE!!

  • ei mark doldol yu... can i ask what is the nationality of your mom coz we're quite have the same surname???? maybe your my long lost cousin....

  • maybe its just me, but i think unless you really appreciated contemporary modern music, this piece would be a bit lost on a fairly mainstream audience.

especially as hes a young kid, people might just think hes making loads of mistakes with the notes.

  • What is with the tapping?? I simply don't get it...Please do explain...

  • its just adding another sound by tapping.

  • It's just part of the music, tapping is like pizz...pizzacato another form of playing music.

  • Actually, he IS from USA. He was born and raised in California.

  • actually, i dont think you can get the best musical education in america.

  • ellen is so hysterical!

  • hong kong ftw!

  • he is soo cute!

  • Marc Yu is look alike Jet Li... ^^, xD

  • I'm so sad I really wanted to go but I let the tickets sell out!

  • It's called - Rhythms from the North Country - and it's by a composer caleld Gwyneth W. Walker

  • GO HONG KONG! <3 GO MARC YU! <3

  • MARC YU !!!!

  • he is soooo funny!!

  • he's so freakin cuute, talented and super funny

  • did he rehearse what he was gonna say? it seems so forced

  • i think it just seems that way because english is obviously not his first language so he has to think before he speaks.

  • right you are... and I think he speaks in English very well... :D

  • i think he lives in california

  • He's SO FUNNY!!!

"She is still composing unlike most of the composers that i like who are already DECOMPOSING!!" xD

  • (ver-too-oso) lol.

  • the next lung lung

  • hahahaha wtf

  • LOL HAHAHA ''can you sign it so i can sell it on ebay?'' xD

  • lol too funny

  • the drumming was BAD !

  • yeah lame idea

  • he is so cute and i love his accent and his jokes are really funny i love him

  • Lol he's so talented and adorable =D

  • Ellen obviously adores him and I do too because he is so adorable and funny. A musical genius and prodigy. :)

  • has anyone seen the piano score? i'm just wondering when he's tapping the piano, does it say "tap tap tap..." on the score ... The kid is great, if it doesn't say that, it's creative!

  • he's adorable, but he sounds so scripted, its a little strange.

  • so talented and funny. another gifted child.

  • ok lets get some thing start

    leave his accent only

it doesnt mtter where he is born

bringing anything about candians are crap is wrong

    i am australian

if u are a american and have a probley with this little kid u need to grow he is like 8 or 9 now and he is a great painost he is sooo cute to

  • I f*cking agree with you! ACCENTS ARE COOL, and people who don't have one are just jealous! So what if he has an accent, I bet when you learn another language you will still have an accent, now that question is: Do you want people to make fun of your accent? I don't think so, so BACK OFF and leave the child alone!

  • Why make this shit about accents? There is no standard measure for accent. We have British accent, chinese accent, american accent, arabic accent, indian accent, aussie accent, french accent....its enuff that people are united by this common language..

  • maybe he was born in the usa but spent a lot of time abroad?

  • To learn more about Mark Yu try searching for him at google or wikipedia or you could watch the national geographic for the documentary film of Mark Yu.

Mark Yu got that accent maybe because of his mother or relatives or "I don't know" but the thing I'm definitely sure is he was born and raised in the US.

  • y is everyone so fuckin concerned about his accent!???...the kid is so sute and hes funny and he has talent

HES A KID!!!...GROW THE FUCK UP!!!

  • Hey, do you even know "Rhythms from the North Country" was actually composed by Gwyneth W. Walker? If you don't, just quit leaving stupid comments, you dumb racist!

  • Thanks for proving that you're a dumb ass.

    It's the verb "to entitle", not ~in titile~ or ~in title~

You don't know about this piece of music doesn't mean the boy is playing shit. Also what you put as "his people from his country" was the root cause of your brainless and racist comment.
