why aren't my garageband recorded tracks lining up (a drum line i created from the virtual machine and my voice). I play it completely in time but when i click for playback it's off for some reason.
thers no mic slot on my ipad 2 .... but i know people do connect them so Im thinkin theres a adpter u plug into the base of the ipad where it charges,, is that correct???
dude it registers and i can hear it faintly, it is reallllllyyyy realllyyy low i can bearly hear it even when i turn the recording level all the way up, but then it still sounds static like. HELP!
@themrmetallicaman1 Interface! You need a usb interface! you can get them anywhere....but you might not like the price haha ...you can get them from 50-400 bucks....of course the more expensive...the better quality
my guitar registers and i can hear it but it is so low i can bearly hear it, so i turn the recording elvel all the way up, tehn i can still bearly hear it, but now it has all this static in the back, any thoughts?
@rabbsneitor To save space on the 13" they combined them into one. If you need to use both input and output at once you'd have to buy an 2-to-1 adapter.
@rabbsneitor To save space on the 13" they combined them into one. If you need to use both input and output at once you'd have to buy an 2-to-1 adapter, but you should be fine for following this video.
@rabbsneitor i think wat we need is a usb setup then instead so you would need either a toneport usb or just a straight usb guitar cable im probably getting one this week possibly
Hey mate simple question, where do I plug the adapter into, the headphone jack or the other one (don't know what the model of my Mac is called or anything It's just hella big haha) Anyway so they are the only options plug into the headphone jack or the other one that looks like a circle with two arrows pointing into it and using either it does nor work
@LFrithable well it should be in the mic jack...The headphone jack will not work haha I do not know what the other jack you have there actually...Do you have USB ports on it? If so you may have to use a USB interface which unfortunately can cost a bit of money. Private message me for more details on the interfaces and your jack issue!
ive got a macbook with just one input and thats for headphones. When i try to recording myself i just hear everything thats happening in the room on the computor. What shal i do?
@BucketheadfeatSlash Well you could run it through an interface which is a usb cable going from the computer which goes to a place where you plug the guitar in, and it will give you better sound quality than the shown adapter anyway! Just look up USB interfaces!
@dimimusic101 In garageband on the right side where it has all the tracks (which are named by the instrument that the track is for) there is a little red dot that arms the track.
he has a stereo adapter but you should get the mono. ur guitar cable is mono. mono adapters have one black stripe stereo has two. mono means to record two channels from one source. stereo means to record to two channels from two sources. so mono is fine since your guitar cable is one source. (as opposed to two sources of one performance such as two mics on one guitar for example)
When I connect my guitar via a usb cable I bought it comes up as c-media usb headphone set. I can hear it but it sounds horrible, almost as if its recording via a mic. Any way to fix this?
@link0867 oh , i have a 13 inch display macbook pro and it only has audio output , but it works like input with the microphone of the iphone earphones , and i'm like wtf .____.
@xolilcreight that is the problem with the 13" macbook pro, you can only use the input/output port for input OR output at any time. This means that if you are using the port for connecting you guitar, you have to use the macbook speakers to hear your music. Stupid design i reckon. I just bought a 13" macbook (not pro) and it has both. STOKED :)
Hey dude I don't have a guitar cable to connect my acoustil/electric guitar to to the 1/4 to 1/8 adapter thing. What cable would you recommend? Preferably not too expensive! Like under $30. Thanks
@DrBigas@DrBigas well no you can not do it it since macbook pros do not have mic inputs, a more expensive aproach is buying the Line 6 TonePort UX1 USB Recording/Modeling Interface. which has a guitar input but also a usb connection to your macbook. maybe out of your price range, but its even better recording quality than this,, you can buy it at guitar center just type it in google
@MrEyelessmaggot i used the grey lookin cabinet same one showed in the video. i use a distortion pedal totally maxed out, and i believe it was Low 4, Mid 5, high 8-10 (cant quite remember) Presence was around 5-7, thanks for the sub btw its very appreciated
@setmedic Now is the interface a totally different input, like something totally between your computer and your guuitar, with what i showed the guitar is directly into a computer, but say for instance you had something like an Mbox (which usually is what people use with pro tools) you have to change your input. lie i showed in the video you have to go to the input settings and change it, there should be an input that that has the name of whatever you are using to play with.
