@numba1danman You're right the GOV should get them doing something. The Polish ect are coming into the UK working hard, doing overtime making lots of money. They don't pay tax for the first year and they spend very little money. I work with a lot of the polish and I know they are sending money home to buy houses, TVs, cars ect. So they are taking as much as they can and putting in as little as possible and this is hurting the UK economy. I'm not a BNP fan boy so don't jump all over me here!
There's always stuff out there that needs doing and so we should make people work for their benefits unless they actually can't work for medical reasons or something.

I agree with everything you say. We are an island nation, with overseas island territories. A Strong navy and atleast 5 supercarriers are a must for our defence. Well we give 50 million a day to Belgium just for being in Europe. UKIP wants to take us out of Europe. So theres 20+ Billion a year already. We also have an agreement to bail out bankrupt countries in Europe. And as we would no longer be in it, that adds another 3-4 Billion a year. We also give China 30 Million a month for exporting rights. But UKIP want Britain to begin manufacturing its own products again so we will no longer need China, and will get a hefty cheque from trade...
UKIP wants to boulster our armed forces so we can actually defend ourselves incase of an attack on Britain. We cant do that currenty. We are as they say a sitting duck...They also want to get us manufacturing porducts, cars, ships, planes ect to boost our economy and trade. Under a UKIP government, we would be the closest thing to a superpower Britain has been since 1945. They are the only party that has Britain in mind rather than heir own pockets...

Britain defeated the nazi invasion in 1940, and defeated Napoleon decisivley at Trafalgar and Waterloo. Britain was a barbarian tribe and defeated the Romans in 410 AD. The Industrial revolution began in Britain in the mid18th cen. The Internet was developed by British business man Donald Davis in the 1960's. And the TV was invented by British inventor John Baird in 1923...

Everyone thinks that the USA lost the Vietnam War politically, but we USE Vietnam today as a massive manufacturing base for major US companies, such as NIKE. My personal stock went up in NIKE. Making huge profits on the backs of cheap labor? I would call that a win and a show of power. That is almost akin to enslaving those two nations and their peoples. They are working overtime to make goods for us.

Created 4 of the worlds leading nations (including the U.S) Brought the world into the modern age through the industrial revolution. Ruled the largest Empire in histotry. First nation to abolish the slave trade and give blacks equal rights a century before the U.S. Defeated the Romans, Napoleon and defeated Hitler in 1940. Invented the jet engine, TV, the Internet, the Tank, the submarine ect.

@zunkwind hence currently under construction (2019/20), it is a good job we got rid of the ark royal becasue it was too small and ineffectve comapred to the worlds most modern aircraft carriers - Britain needs to keep up to date, and the need to replace the harriers and carriers are absolutley vital.
As for your comment on HMS PoW, that will be operational but only be used in the most extreme circumstances such as a World War or rescue mission etc. HMS QE will be the most used and operated.

@zunkwind Don't let your government chop your forces too far, Its a lot harder bring back what you have lost, the mass of hippies will get used to a smaller force and yes they will protest in the streets to keep the forces smaller. Im Canadian since ww2 our forces have been chopped to almost nothing in the 90's it got to as low as 1 billion a year for all of armed forces. Not even the NATO promise of 2% of GDP. Our current government is starting to build it up again slowly very slowly.

@zunkwind I hear ya, same problem in Canada, government just hands out money like its nothing to social services, i know tons of people who use the system, that's why you see welfare parents with 10 kids, they always have a kid under 18 so they get their government checks. they need to redo the whole system if someone wants 10 kids they should be able to support them them self's.

@zunkwind what i dont get is, if there are some people on benefits who are able to work and for say 12 months havent found work, they should get drafted into national service and get a certain, small yet sufficient fee for their time. we have 2 million brits on incapacity, we should make them work for their money, even if its 10 hours a week working doing landscaping in the town centres or being trained for just...something...rather than nothing!

@numba1danman You're right the GOV should get them doing something. The Polish ect are coming into the UK working hard, doing overtime making lots of money. They don't pay tax for the first year and they spend very little money. I work with a lot of the polish and I know they are sending money home to buy houses, TVs, cars ect. So they are taking as much as they can and putting in as little as possible and this is hurting the UK economy. I'm not a BNP fan boy so don't jump all over me here!

No point in having carriers, we can just use other countries to launch attacks on countries such as the Libyan crisis.

You just cant have a real functional navy without aircraft carriers.We need the ability to put a full navy task force deterrent together at a moments notice.If the U.K had no carriers in1982 ,we'd just have to put up with the Argy invasion and look like pussies.

I agree with everything you say. We are an island nation, with overseas island territories. A Strong navy and atleast 5 supercarriers are a must for our defence. The navy has always been our strong point. But the current government has changed all that. We can no longer defend our own nation, let alone the falklands, gibraltar and others. But atleast our Astute class and Daring class vessels are atleast 5 years ahead of anything the Americans have. We have that going for us...

Well we give 50 million a day to Belgium just for being in Europe. UKIP wants to take us out of Europe. So theres 20+ Billion a year already. We also have an agreement to bail out bankrupt countries in Europe. And as we would no longer be in it, that adds another 3-4 Billion a year. We also give China 30 Million a month for exporting rights. But UKIP want Britain to begin manufacturing its own products again so we will no longer need China, and will get a hefty cheque from trade...
