I had some paint splatter images that I used for the blood streak. I basically composited onto the wall, blurred it out to make it look like it was on the wall, and changed the color. Then I took a copy of the footage and placed the blood in the middle of the two clips and compsited it in and rotoscoped the top layer so when I slid down the wall it looked like it just appeared from the head.
Supervids, I totally agree. I just quickly thru in some SFX and did not worry about the audio too much. The guy who gets shot is actually going to re-do the audio and SFX. He is a audio engineer....so I will repost this video when he is done with it.
The bullethole was VFX....there was no makeup involved or fake blood. All done in After Effects. For compression I did photo jpeg set it to 75%quality and change the comp. size to 320 X 240
The only negative comments I can give (and I completely mean them to be constructive), is when the car drives up and you cut to the other shot, it seemed like you just cut the audio and switched over. Instead, perhaps a fade between the audio of the car and the next shot would be beneficial. It just helps smooth transitions. Also the pacing seemed a little slow, but that one is strictly my opinion. Otherwise, good job!
Nice, I liked it a lot. You're good, looking forward to some longer films. Especially like how you used blood on the wall and the camera, good realism. Plus, the car coming up to the camera was a nice shot too. Good job!
that was really cool, you should do a tutorial for it
