Thank you for your video - it is both cute and informative! The Japanese customs of Valentine's Day make more sense than the official American customs - however, in my family, my mother was born on Valentine's Day, and more recently both of my parents are diabetic. As a result, we all exchange small gifts in person, and my mother gets birthday presents as well. We try to avoid giving sweets, although sugar free chocolate is ok.

This is a problem for me because I don't really like eating chocolate or sweet things. ^^; just only a little I will eat it if I feel like it once a very long time.. So If I was in Japan as a single guy when a girl give me chocolate. I will accept it but I'm not going to eat it since I don't sweet at all but just a little. Which I'm going to be stuck on this situation. Unless I already tell her ahead of time I don't like sweet things that much which I will give her chocolate instead^^ But thanks

This was a very fun video :) In the US, the custom is for men to give women candy and presents. Nowadays though...especially if you are in a relationship, I think women feel pressure to do something nice for their boyfriend's on Valentine's day or at least I do LOL :)

Here in Canada, chocolate is everywhere, as well! But, it's all about giving to your lover. There's no focus on giving to friends or family or bosses at all here!

And since I'm intolerant to caffiene, which is in chocolate, I can't eat even a single bite of chocolate --- I haven't been able to eat any for years! X_X; It's okay, though, because I've gotten used to it.

Still, though, it's tough seeing chocolate everywhere ... ;_;
