If this video was actually made by a company from Calgary then shame on you Castlegar! You've got a perfectly good Multimedia Production and Design program at Selkirk College. If you used local talent or had no choice in the decision of who made the video then you're off the hook.
ONCE AGAIN WHY OH WHY was a company from Calgary chosen to do this feature when there are so many talented people here who know the area and could have promoted it fairly and as a local would have.
ARRRGGGG. Castlegar you are going in the wrong direction.....Promote local talent, the West Kootenay culture is unique, we are a part of that. There is nothing in this video that shows that. Personally this video is 90% Full of reasons of why I would never visit Castlegar
This video is so BAD! How did they pick the businesses to be profiled? In all the other features made I didn't see any business picked out to feature. Did these businesses pay for this advertising?
Great video. Nice to see the home town being involved with the Olympics. Do agree that the "Happily Ever After" slogan is lame. More thought should have been put into that one.. tisk tisk.
Oh man *shakes head*, I would have redited that video. There are three or four clips in it that make us look like hillbillies. Who came up with "Happily Ever After" as a slogan for Castlegar? That's almost as bad as Nelson's "slug" logo. The best part about living here is it's central to everywhere else. Nelson, Rossland, Slocan Valley. "Gateway to the Kootenays" was perfect. Oh well. *shrug*
Fuck Castlegar!
That place is pure evil the only good that community has done me is prove that Satan exists!

That was unbelievably HORRIBLE... I'm embarrassed to think that this video will be played for all to see at YVR.
I can think of half-a-dozen LOCAL production companies who could have blown this video out of the water!
PLEASE, City of Castlegar... it's not too late to redeem yourself.

Don't get me wrong, Castlegar is a great place to visit or live and raise a family, the video just didn't really capture that.
