I don't understand why players compare this game to Battlefield II. This game is FAR better than that piece of crap. This game reminds me very much of the original Delta Force games in scope and realism. You have to THINK in this game. CoD players will just get lost in the woods with no closed in maps to direct them.
Battlefield 2 has Jets,Tanks, And Alot more vehicles and weapons than OF2:DR. obviously the graphics arn't as good because BF2 was made in like 2001 or something. and if you look up something called "Project Reality" you'll be amazed. its a MOD for bf2. extreme realism.

single player campaign let me drive 2 jeeps and an apc , the combat feels nice ... just badly needs a patch to supply the mission editor, and better multiplay support...
it sucks, but if u buy the skirmish dlc pack, u get a free roam game mode, plus more vehicle usage such as the cobra and tanks. there is also some extra muliplayer maps. but its lame u have to buy it
oh my god the ai in this game is so fucking shitty. Just rented it, and i am so glad i didn't buy this game. some of the enemies just run to the ocean, and some cant even see you when you're right in front of them. Don't even get me started on the guys you can control.
Sucks that I've almost completed the game and then it went and put me back to level 5... game progress just gets messed up. Never ever seen a game so buggy on release.

the MP is very very laggy, i cant even play 1 game with havenin to quit cause of the lag.with how big the damn map is, i figured it would be 50 on 50. but tis only 4 on 4. they are choppers you can fly, theres actually 1 on the first mission, you just have to find it. look at your map, the chopper is on the beach, not your spawn beach.

Does anyone know how many people are going to be fighting on the open world map? It would be amazing if the game world was consistant and you had to take th island over. Every time you log in you start at one of the captured points etc and have to aquire vehicles etc.
i think the max is four teams for annihilation (deathmatch) mode, im not sure how many players per team though, i think the teams will also consist of ai players.
yeah its gonna be cool ordering the bots but killing enemy bots wont be as satisfying as killing real players, theres gonna be more bots per team so your going to be killing bots most of the time.

Mutter, that depends on how you interpret fun. Operation Flashpoint is nothing like the COD series. COD is a hollywood movie. Flashpoint is as close to war as you can get. It's not a linear story either. There are myriad ways to accomplish the missions. You control your squad formations..wedge..flank..etc. I played it on PC and it actually made me understand how scary and intense war really is. Plus the ability to man vehicles..the size of the maps? COD is all polish...this is the REAL thing..

Does anyone know how many people are going to be fighting on the open world map? It would be amazing if the game world was consistant and you had to take th island over. Every time you log in you start at one of the captured points etc and have to aquire vehicles etc.

i think the max is four teams for annihilation (deathmatch) mode, im not sure how many players per team though, i think the teams will also consist of ai players.

yeah its gonna be cool ordering the bots but killing enemy bots wont be as satisfying as killing real players, theres gonna be more bots per team so your going to be killing bots most of the time.

PvP is 2km x 2km AO, 32 player max... a sniper could cover that whole playing area.
All the BS they spin like CM's "fantastic lighting" which has over 6 lights... TeamFortress 2 (which is 2 yrs old) has 5 lights on screen at once, 3 for characters and 2 for environment. Honestly they're just using some fancy bullshit video editing to try and sell COD6/BF3 - everything in those video's, already exists in many games and has been done before.

They said it would take roughly 9 hours on foot in game to cross the full map. I wouldn't get this for consoles though your limited to 2.2km out of 225km per map which is fucking rotten for muliplayer.

Mutter, that depends on how you interpret fun. Operation Flashpoint is nothing like the COD series. COD is a hollywood movie. Flashpoint is as close to war as you can get. It's not a linear story either. There are myriad ways to accomplish the missions. You control your squad formations..wedge..flank..etc. I played it on PC and it actually made me understand how scary and intense war really is. Plus the ability to man vehicles..the size of the maps? COD is all polish...this is the REAL thing..
