Miss the days of "Double Roads". One good thing about the pier being built was it concentrated the crowd there. The reef both north and south break just as good on a solid swell.

Awesome video! You are an inspiration to me. Just made my first video during the swell from Earl. Looks like most of the footage was shot in 1080 24p? How did you get the slow motion clips so smooth? Are you using "optical flow timing" in Motion to smooth them out? Keep up the great work!

The Pier could basically be described as "one big free-for-all." No one has a clue about right-of-way, and there's usually 4+ guys paddling for the same wave.

The video makes it look like a semi-paradise, but the bottom line? IT'S A SH*THOLE.
