Once many years ago, I went to the Strawberry Bluegrass Festival near Yosemite and saw the band perform. An evening, in a bar nearby, I saw my first bear, three actually digging through a trash can. Beer in hand saw them out the back door of the bar when an arm went round my shoulder and this guy said, 'man, that's the first bear I ever seen. I looked over at him and it was David Grisman - two firsts in one night!
