The colony would have been screwed without Mike and the professor. Maybe you should try and put together a pilot for a show that has both you and the professor on it. That might be cool.
We all knew the show was somewhat BS now that I see this I know the show is a complete fake. A couple of actors add scripts/ drama throw in some "regular" people and edit.
Good for you you got paid. Slamming the "show" not you personally.
I think The Colony is a good show. Like you said you can only get so real without anyone getting hurt. Acting exp or not your skills would be extremely useful in that situation, and I think you are one of the most valuable there. I am also glad I found this on youtube because you build some sweet stuff.hehe
Plus there's less danger present than I initially thought there was, unless you can lead me to believe otherwise. I guess you can only get so realistic when it comes to a post apocalyptic experience before people start getting hurt. Unfortunately for those of us who want a true valid research experiment of this nature people are going to get hurt, become mentally unstable, etc. in real life and won't have professional off-screen help to watch over them.
Oh your extremely knowledgeable, talented etc. So far your the most interesting person on the show. I just think the show is fake because you are an actor and know how to operate in front of a camera. You know how to "work" the camera, so how do I know when watching The Colony whether or not you're intensifying your persona to get more screen time. It's just different than someone who hasn't been versed in operating in front of a camera or performing.
You have to get into the mindset in such an experiment to make yourself believe it really is an apocalyptic time so that would mean EVERYONE is acting.
That doesn't make it fake though, they're not following a script but rather re-acting to presented events.
with proper gearing how fast do ya think the chopper could go in a quarter mile? the nice thing about electric motors is the torque, so it would be cool to see that. great show, i would watch it. good luck with the tv pitch.
Your show looks like it's going to be a great one.
I like your twist on the standard hotrod/shop shows.
Unfortunately I'll be unable to watch it, living in Eastern Europe and all.
I stumbled upon a link to your page about the bike on hackaday dot com
Could you please tell us what's the capacity of the batteries used, the power of the motor, what's the maximum speed and how long does it last on some average city cruising speed
Cool. You know, if you offer material lists and circuit diagrams with every episode for all those projects you'll make every diy nut out there very happy.
Awesome! I love these kinds of shows and I think you make a great "edgy" host. Any plans on some kind of Video Podcast so we can see your shows online?
yes it locks the door is mine and has worked great for two years, about the editing, this was a test shoot the pilot was not shot, there was limited footage to work with and we did the best we could

You could say the same about EVERYONE.
