I just finished Sowell's "Basic Economics" and Hayek's "Road to Serfdom." I highly recommend both.

Friedman has some good stuff- but a main point him and most Austrians would disagree with is his ideas regarding monetary policy(In that he thinks government control of it is ok). So just keep that in mind.

Are you aware that Ron Paul and Barry Goldwater were good friends, and RP strongly supported Goldwater for President? Also, are you aware that Rothbard endorsed LBJ over Goldwater in that election, exactly for the reason you give in your comment --- because Rothbard believed Goldwater would have used the bomb? But Ron Paul is much brighter than Goldwater was.
