@Propanner tahnks for replying. i know you can't really tell without actually looking in a stream, but could you please go onto my channel and look at the first vid that is on the list. its call "upper moravian run in morrisdale pa" its in my back yard and i was curious whether it could have some gold in it. it has a sand and gravel bottom and the banks are made of clay. thanks for all your help.=)
I found my first PICKER yesterday!!! I was using your gold tube, the temperature was 40 and the tube kinked. Once the kink was there It wouldn't come out. I had some more flexible tubing that I replaced it with. It was working great, but ran out of time and had to head back home.
It takes alot to kink the hose to the point that it needs replaced. The hose becomes stiff when it gets real cold, might be part of the problem. Grats on the picker.
When the water is flowing like crazy (and then it subsides, to a workable level) will the gold get washed way down (miles?) stream, or will it hide in crevices? It seems like all the water pressure will wash all the bedrock clean, and as it subsides, the gravel and sand fills back in (and the gold)? Is that correct? There has to be a source...mainly tailings from mines?? Talk to me Propanner! (lol). I'm so new (DEC09), I have yet to find ANY gold : ( help.
I spent a few hours checking out crevices beside the Buller River in New Zealand at Ariki Falls. Awesome after the rain. When ever the river floods, more gold is deposited and some of these crevices are at least 10 feet above the river level. Love the place and crevicing is good exercise. Just watch the knuckles when scraping. Awesome video thanks
Holy Cow ! I can't beleive what I see in this video ! Are my eyes deceiving me or are you actually crevecing out holes not in Bedrock but in actual Quartz veins in the brook! After you taken out the Free Gold in the holes why are you not attempting to take out that vein in the brook ? Im sure those veins for what I can see should contain lot's of Gold. your pan has lot's of pyrite in it as well so lot's mineralization there. Wow wish I was there part of that vien wouldn't be there next video.
The quartz is NOT carrying gold. Because the quartz is weaker than the bedrock, it gets broken out over time, and the gold pockets in these quartz crevices. Thats why its called Crevicing.
thanks for the reply. how differcult is it to get down to bed rock . could you comment on removal of over burden . depth; proplems involved; reconizing bed rock ;

@webkinzlover8888 Yes there is gold in Georgia! Infact many of the gold coins minted prior to the civil war were minted with gold from the southeast.
