Way to Go John!!! Nice airplane!!! Great recovery from a nasty situation. Are you flying out of Smoketown Airport! It looks familiar. Anyway, great video!
My heart lurched on that one, I thought for sure that he looped it. I don't imagine that slippery seat helped at all when he was sideways. Did a great job on the recovery!
Congrats John, great looking plane, the hard work payed off. Loved the commentary from your buddy's on the ground as you taxied out. Enjoy flying it now.
I am enthusiast who has been dreaming of building a Sonex for myself for the last couple of years now. Am just getting ready, and will join up with you guys in just a little while.
Hey John... great video, Congrats! Man that was funny to see the sideways action - BEEN THERE - DONE THAT. What I like is how you can nail the rudder and get it back where-ever you want it to go. She'll try and do that a bit in a crosswind too - no big deal. Just Man-Handle the rudder pedals and she'll do anything you want.
Now... start doing some steep turns and Yanking & Banking!!! Awesome polish - great job on the plane. Very Impressive!!! --- aaron knight --- Sonex #1024
Hope that you still don't pull your plane out my the prop! Pick up the tail and push.
