Hellsing: The Dawn takes place 50 years before the main series. It follows young Walter and Alucard (In female form) laying waste to Millenium's operations on Integra's fathers orders.
At the end of this, Alucard is chained and starved in Hellsing's basement for at least 30 years, as Integra's father deemed him 'too powerful a medicine for anything other than the occasional dose.'
