  • Your pritty creative. It looks like it works good.

  • @2775pulling

    thanks buddy :)

  • i have the same sorta deal on one of my tractors but i have an electric winch on mine

  • @theboredredneck

    sounds cool buddy :)

  • that is sick man, keep up the good work

  • @DanTheFordFixer

    thanks buddy .

  • Man i was laughing and grinnin from ear to ear watching the vid,, great vid there five double O, :) Tow tractor is bad ass, like it, and here i just F'ing moved 8 of mine to a different barn, and had to use a damn chain, and half of them had flat front tires!!!!!!!!!! wtf lol.. good job man, i have a feeling your gonna see that being made all over the place soon, better throw a patent number on it.

  • @Wallabydam

    thanks wall .

    i keep improving the wrecker

    in 6 & 7 videos :)

  • Looks awesome buddy love the tilting band saw and the hole punch, pretty awesome towing randy and his tractor around likr that lol

  • @Needmorehorsepower

    thanks buddy :)

  • Wow thatis a nice design,Love your vids and keep makin them buddy.

  • @Chrisromyn1

    thanks buddy ,

    watch the 6th video

    i improved the design a little :)

  • looking good 500 just like real tow trucks frame forks. but i think you might need to get some light's or something. by the way my min dozer plan just got a hole lot bigger. look out

  • @mog5858

i done changed the whole thing

    in my next video. lol

i will check out your dozer vids:)

  • Lets see sometime but on a Cub.

  • @Bucyruserie28W

i will think about it :)

  • That is freakin sweet, that wrecker looks factory build awesome work. thats something I might need to pull my garden pulling tractors around.

  • @TheBigspoon1

    thanks spoon .

all i want to do is drive around the tractor show this spring

towing my shiny wheel horse while watching people scratch there heads . lol

if i get to do that i will consider the build a success :)

  • Excellent once again! I love it. That's going to blow your tractor buddies away! You should sneak in, tow them and charge 'em like the real tow companies. You could make a fortune;-)

  • @jster1963

    dont leave your project sitting

    out front to long :)

    neighborhood watch hired

a new sheriff and he dont play . lol

  • Sweet, can you build us one that goes right on the 3 pt?

  • @mlindsay527

i dont think the 3 point hitch linkage would be strong enough .

it bolts right on. 4 bolts isnt to hard is it :)

  • Hey got a quick question what kind of color is the sears yellow is it a certain kind?

  • @TheBackyardMechanics

the real color is called "harvest wheat" or something like that .

but im just using "equipment yellow" from tractor supply .

its close as you can get cheap off the shelf :)

  • Wheel Horse "Wheel-Dan" ........ hear it is buddy i never seen it in person but i was told about it and i found it on the utube

  • @crazy79chevy4x4

not sure what you mean ?? :) you must be talking to dan . lol

  • @500passwords no no bud thats the name of the vid just thaught u would of liked too see it

  • Really nice work & a great idea.

  • @poonwhip

    thanks buddy :)

  • Next you need to add an electric winch and a way to adjust the clamps from the seat so that you can repo a tractor from the north branch without getting off

  • @Cumminsturbo205

i like the way you think !!!!

welcome to the south branch :)

  • after you make that front brush/push guard your next project is a racing mower :)

  • @V8Mike93

lol . i think i would make more money

towing you maniacs off the track :)

  • @500passwords we got a guy named Larry at our track that has a similar setup like that and hes fast getting us off the track but its not fun for us being pushed off the track lol

  • Another great restro. That Marvel Saw is one of the best Band saws on the market. Great buy I have a idea I just do not have time to add to my SS16 Sears.Maybe you or somebody may try it. You use a 12 Volt Tilt/Trim unit off of a large outboard motor and use it as a lift for the 3pt hitch instead of the old manual lift. It is self contained and strong enough to lift any implements from Sears (Brinley) I have one off a 80's 175 Evinrude. already designed and collecting iron. just no time.

  • @Cajunize

thanks buddy , randy has a sears with heavy duty electric actuator or cylinder

but they cost 400 new around here . its not off a boat motor but basically same thing .

what kind of load rating does yours have ???

  • @500passwords Hey 500 ,No info available on the hyd. lift I have, it was often used on small bass boat motors to many of the 24ft gulf boats with small cabins used for gulf off shore fishing and under full power can lift the front of large boat to tilt/ trim it out for smooth riding. I plan to use the same relay switches hid in the steering switch panel on my SS/16. I hope to build it during our frezzing south west Louisiana winter, we got in the 50'S today, low in the 40's tommorrow.

  • man oh man. that thing is a mean machine. really nice work hot damn

  • @exmarkmetroguy

    thanks buddy

  • Looking good. Speaking of Onan engines, I am helping a friend with his1972 Simplicity 4040 Powermax garden tractor. It was not charging so I did some investigating. Turns out the stator under the fly wheel some how disconnected its self from the engine block. In doing so it stuck to the inside of the flywheel witch completely shredded the wiring and windings. Did you say it is really hard to find parts for thees engines?

  • @IHcubcadet

it can be hard to find parts locally .

    but anything is possible online.

    biggest problem is prices :(

  • @IHcubcadet

in my town a cummins dealer is the only place

carrying onan parts . that might help you looking in phone book .

dont go to a mower dealer . look for a cummins dealer.

cut out the middle man :)

  • Nice build, What do you do if the tractor your recovering has a rear axle problem ? will your rig work to lift one from the rear ?

  • @heartland96a

    thanks buddy ,

i plan on making rolling frames you can ratchet strap on the back tires .

but honestly this thing will probably only pull my wheelhorse around a

    tractor show . lol

  • Do you suppose the North knows they have just been "hooked up"

I bought it at SEARS! LOL I bet that dog would hunt!

DAMN good project! I love it!

See welding & beer can be a good thing!

    L8R On!

  • @jstrunck

    thanks john .

welding and beer will be the name of my autobiography . lol

  • Nice work, you are a great worker.

  • @komki69

    thanks buddy :)

i have had bosses who would argue with you . lol

  • Dam 500 thats sweet! Hey did Spike TV call you yet and want to put you on the Powerblock? lol

  • @RooneysSears01

    thanks buddy .

they would have to change the name to the power ROCK . lol

  • Thats awesome why can i know some one that likes this stuff lol

  • @xxtruckin93xx

    thanks buddy ,

    you do know someone .

    you know 500 :)

  • Great job... If that don't work out though on a real tow rig it goes under the tires... It's like a U shape with different holes in the back for bars to go through for the different size tires...

  • @RedneckAlaskan

yeah , i know what you mean .

i was just thinking about an old tractor

sitting in a field with flat tires or no front tires at all . lol

im still working on the design , im not done yet :)

  • That frickin thing is awesome 500! When you're done with the Sears, I think you really need to re-do a Case 446 or 444 to add to that growing stable of yours. I always look forward to videos from Ole 500. Keep em coming Buddy!!

  • @mdlrr1

    thanks buddy ,

i think im gonna have to build a bigger stable . lol

  • great work buddy!I think i'm going to build one for my cub now.Can u pm me the pipe size and stuff on it ? u have the copyrights lol! :)

  • @MrGitrdone41

    thanks buddy .

i will help you if your serious about building one :)

  • @500passwords Thanks buddy! want size plate should i use on the back? 1/2? the plate would be 11x10 1/2

  • @MrGitrdone41

i used 5/8 plate but 1/2 would probably be ok .

    i cut mine 10x10 .

i done changed it all again

you should wait till i work out all the kinks . lol

  • @500passwords Ok I'll wait for a vid. Than i can get ideas for mine.

  • now thats turned out perfect, I love the tips for saving the cut offs from the saw I have used many small pieces from the scrap bin myself, also the tip for saving the torch liner is good advice I see some guys welding with the thing all twisted and bent up.

  • @chox2001

    thanks buddy .

  • Looks good man good thinking

  • @tjones2269

    thanks buddy :)

  • Not bad for a hillbilly....LOL!!!

Keep up the great work 500!!!

  • @fubar0364

    thanks for the compliment :)

hillbilly isnt a negative term in my circle . lol

  • build a frontloader and show how to hock up hydraulics :D

  • @roberto25721

    im thinking about it :)

  • Very nice 500, your fabrication skills are impressive. Looks factory! Time to make a front end loader to balance it out? B-)

  • @JimsEquipmentShed

    thanks jim .

dang , everybody wants a loader

but no one has any current plans to give me .

i dont know what size cylinders to use.

i would really like plans for that build :)

  • @500passwords Plans? I didn't see the plans for the mini wrecker... ;-) A hand crank trip bucket would good, unless you have hydro available on that unit. Heck, if you pulled off that tow able backhoe from scratch, and front loader should be easy. B-) Nice tune at the end by the way.

  • @JimsEquipmentShed

i had plans for the backhoe :)

    check out ubuilditplans .

    they got awesome plans with

cut list for material and parts numbers

for all hydraulics and stuff . great plans

  • what to build next? a scraper or "pan" down your way...or one of those driveway box graders withe the 2 cutting edges, "DR" puts one out, I think you could do it better

  • @CDNcatskinner

have to think about those ideas :)

    thanks buddy .

  • damn man, that looks factory

  • @rhofford

    thanks buddy

  • Just as we planned it up at HQ. Looks great 500. We don’t have insurance for you to have passengers on the vehicle in tow!

    Loader?

  • @Chooman69

    memo - look into blocking

the insurance adjusters at the north branch :P

ill think about building a loader when

HQ allocates more funds . dont make me start

a occupy HQ movement . lol

  • @500passwords On August 1, 2011, we entered into the Merger Agreement with the southern branch, a provider of innovative technologies, products and services that enable a range of Garden Tractor implements, information and entertainment experiences, under which SSBTC will acquire certain assets for approximately $3.5 billion in cash.

  • @Chooman69

    3.5 billion seems low .

you cant put a price on a sunrise

or on the mona lisa .

and you cant put a price on 500 :P

  • @500passwords you didn't think it was low back in Aug. When you went on a suburban implement and nose cone buying spree. Lol a deal is a deal.

  • @500passwords The completion of this transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the approval of the transaction by SSBTC stockholders and the receipt of certain regulatory approvals. Scott in Accounting has brought to our attention the Southern Branch's Cold Beer expenditures. This allotment was for Research and Development. Does this liquid help with R&D?

  • @Chooman69

the north branch has the nerve to question our expenditures ????

there would be no R&D department without

    that golden elixir . lol

  • Thats amazing, keep up the great fabrication's.

You some new attachments for the wheel horse. lol

  • @CubCollecter

    thanks man :)

    the little wheel horse is

    my mudder . lol

  • @500passwords Sure looks like it, except for the amazing restoration and paint. :)

  • Pretty dang awesome bud. There's not much a good fabricator can't do!

  • @farmboy30117

    thanks buddy

  • The only problem I see is if you're towing a tractor with a long hood on it. I reckon that cable will snag on the hood before the dolly can slide far enough under. Really sweet build though, might make something up similar to this for myself.

  • @CSAKvids

    well, that long hood tractor

is out of luck . lol

  • looking good bro have a g8 day

  • @freerideinahearse

    thanks buddy .

  • great job man, that thing looks great! the way you edit your videos is nice too, i never get bored watching one thing for too long

  • @gasman7777

    thanks buddy ,

thats why i keep my vids

    under 10 minutes :)

  • I give a big thumbs up !

  • @cisjohn2616

    thanks captain :)

you want me to build you

a little boom for the lobster traps . lol

  • @500passwords ....Too bad you weren't closer....I bent the crane on my boat and needs to be repaired....You could make a good living around here...Fabrication is a big part of the fishing industry here...

  • @cisjohn2616

i know a few welders here that

go work on barges on the river .

i worked for an amphibious welding

company once . but i never went under water :)

  • love your videos long time viewer nice shop i love that saw of yours its great

  • @nder12345

    thanks long time buddy :)

  • Looks great and does the job! Good work there 500! Keep it up buddy!

  • @97bonneville

    thanks buddy

  • That's cool, now you got a tow traoctor, I like that a lot, nice job buddy :)

  • @MagicCadillac

    thanks kay

  • Its a little towmater... from the movie cars

  • @HOOSIERDADDY999

i havent seen that one :)

    but thanks buddy

  • Works really good.

    Sander.

  • @dutchlawnmowerman

    thanks buddy

  • this was super cool, you are a master metal worker look forward to your next vid

  • @tlh719767

    thanks buddy .

    appreciate the nice comment :)

  • The grill looks great, but why do I always crave cookies when I see it?

  • @yourbeekeeper

    thanks buddy ,

it was for a GRILL . lol

    not a cookie pan :P

  • @500passwords Awwww Rats, I was close, kind of. But seriously, I really enjoy watching your work. Great job.

  • @yourbeekeeper

    thanks buddy :)

the south and west branch have to stick together. lol

  • cool!

  • @keithk98

    thanks buddy

  • Have you ever thought about using spray on bed liner on those parts you don't want to scratch when rubbing? Just a thought...

  • @jboneford

    yeah :)

i thought about it before .

but once you try to weld on something covered in that stuff

you dont like it so much . lol

  • @500passwords

Ah, yes...good point, gets a little messy. Good vid.

  • thats sweet i c somebody selling those now that u made one great vid

  • @KYKAYAKER274ey1

    thanks buddy

  • I really need to get a welder, but I have other issues I need to take care of first.

I need to figure out what I'm going to do for paint. I don't have an air drier, and spray cans get expensive. I'm working on it though...LOL!

You certainly have some fantastic enginuity!

That is way too cool bud! I still need too much to be able to do all that though.

Guess I'll have to head over and take some lessons, eh?

Great vid bud! I'm having a cold one with ya!

  • @mbyr31

    you do your project

    on your schedule :) i know i do .

but i will help you any day .

just give me warning to run out the bitches :P

  • that things cool 500

  • @motercycles6

    thanks buddy :)

  • Thanks great man would love to have one of them here for all the mowers i move.

  • @etterboy077

    thanks buddy .

it could come in handy in the right situation :)

  • fine job Buddy!! impeccable craftsmanship!! The next tow tractor we make will have a Stinger attachment eh!!☺

  • @805ROADKING

    thanks buddy .

thats a good name for it :)

  • Looks good, cant wait to see the bumper!

  • @roadhazardguy

    thanks buddy ,

i wanted to build a big wide bumper

like a wrecker , but it has to fit in between back tires

on most tractors . still in design stage on that one :)

  • where do i buy mine ? haha, awesome job 500!!

  • @NomaDairy

i think you know where to buy it : )

now i have to figure out what to charge . lol

all the material i had was left over from other jobs

  • Well I can see a electric winch replacing the manual one in the near future....LOL

  • @1320n8

    whys that ??

i kind of like my free one .

    only took one hand :)

might go electric if its free to . lol

  • Wow! Your ingenuity is unsurpassed, I'd give ya a thumbs up but seems the 500 Thumbs Up Rating Engine has been disabled.

  • @mrwiggles2

500 isnt in it for the ratings and fame . lol

id rather piss one troll off than get thumbs up from a 100 nice people :)

  • when you square up your parts to weld, what do you do to keep the welding from pulling your piece out of square?

  • @idahodad

i tack weld them to the table normally ,

in this instance i just used one clamp

and relied on speed and knowing where to tack

to stop the pull where i wanted , i dont even

think about it sometimes , i just know where to tack

and how the heat will affect the piece.

  • thats pretty damn cool!, now get yourself some john deere book weights for the front and put em on a nice rod

  • @Titliest07

i got plans for the front end .

i made randy a weight a long time ago . it weighs about 125.

we call it the cheese block cause he painted it yellow. lol

im gonna build a push bumper around the cheese block :)

  • Righteous! , - carry on.

  • @bogzdodge

    thanks :)

  • LOL You should put some sort of Sears tag on it just to screw with the guys who think they know it all.

  • @Mopardude

    lol . thanks buddy

  • Thats really cool man, good work!

  • @01jaycob

    thanks man

  • Two thumbs way up!

  • @mdsmith33

    thank you buddy

  • Thats a real nice tractor

  • @cubcadetboy1962

    thanks buddy

  • Nice work man, youre gonna want some counter weight on the front. you have the expertise to do this, so give it a go. make a frame that connects on the mule drive and the front axle

  • @pacificdrumma

would you guys give me time to

make the front end video . lol

  • that is seriously cool! good job buddy. now ship one down here for my ingersolls, hydraulic rams and winch please :P

  • @ShnitzlHaus

    thanks buddy ,

send me the bolt pattern and a blank check :)

  • well i think i might be making one now haha and looks like you picked up a hitch hiker ay the end lol

  • @Peppercatkeith

    thanks buddy .

    make you one up :)

  • Got a pbr on the way buddy that's neat there is a guy that goes to tractor shows around were I live that took a wheel horse and made a rollback out of it nice work

  • @crazy79chevy4x4

a roll back out of a wheel horse ?

wheel horse dont seem big enough ?

but it sounds awesome . is he my towing competitor . lol

  • Why the long face, 500? LOL Atleast that bump was just the bone and not Lou!! ;-)

  • @susanloveshuskies

    long face ????

i have to be serious or ill scratch my paint :)

  • @500passwords Your shirt had a sad face on it. haha

  • @susanloveshuskies

    on yeah . lol

that shirts for the locals :)

  • me and a buddie of mine used one of those hand crank winches when we cobbled a blade onto his ride on mower. The only bad part is when you slip lowering it down and the handle whips around and smashes you in the arm haha
