  • What the F.. is wrong with those 9 people who does not like this??!!

That solo (and riffs after) cant be done any better than this i'd say!!

    Thanx for sharing! :)

  • awesome.. nice groove... it sounds really good

  • Shit hot !! bravo man

  • I love it man. can u please give a lasson or a tab or something?

  • Brilliant! thank you for uploading!

  • great! thanx for playing and making this video. let's see if i'll be able this time!

  • this is just such a great song, and nice playing btw...

  • This solo is in E flat minor, bros. Stevie is half step down.

  • @imspicey111 I'd say Stevie is quite a couple of steps above everyone :D :p

  • lol what on the tv?

  • what scale is this solo in? nice job btw

  • @takitowarrior E minor

  • @takitowarrior e minor but tuned down a half step

  • @rockngamer32 Eb minor

  • Vibrato needs a bit of work, but for the most part quite good.

  • great... congrats!

  • Why are you putting all those slides in?

  • OMG.. You played the shit out of that solo! YOU ROCK MAN! You have nice fingers....

  • damn! thats precision!

  • here's my vocal solo to go with this: this guy needs a life.

  • dude respect nice solo !!

  • please send me the tab for the cowbell :)

  • nice job!

  • please send me the tab for the solo!! please!!!

  • i dont like black strats normaly, but yours looks really nice

  • rite on!

  • CLAP CLAP!!!!

  • its just improvise, the solo is always different when stevie played live

  • at my school i am learning a different type of Mary Had A Little Lamb

  • I want the tabs so bad ;)

  • Go to ultimate-guitar ...

  • Their tabs usually suck.

  • You need to check all of them, most of them are just rip-offs of the first posted tab.

  • nice

  • this is dope

  • Very good nice sound as well

  • I had the pleasure of seeing SVR in concert 2 or 3 times, often within feet of him. He was certainly an incredible guitar player. Thanks for the video.

  • ok you all sound good when im drunk your all the best in the world !!

  • man everyone is a know it all its easier to pick up with this guy playing then watching SRV

  • NOICE

  • /watch?v=e0dAAyOfYN0

check this guy, he did an awesome cover.

  • good

  • SO watch.. kiko loureiro

  • He's decent, but he's missing all the bass notes - Stevie would drape his thumb over the neck, and hit the E on the 12th fret of string 6 while playing the top riff at about 30 seconds in. It's close, but no cigar bud. The B7 on your Pride and Joy btw, same deal...F# in the bass on that chord, 2nd fret on low E.

  • Who cares? he's still awesome, nobody can do Stevie's song like him anyway =)

  • So what? I noticed it too, but most people don't care.

  • Thoroughly enjoyable to watch this!

  • Anyone that doesn't appreciate the time and talent it takes to play like this is a moron, and probaly sucks at guitar. To those people I say this, give up the guitar and play something your mentally suited for.....like the cowbell.

  • Or any percussion for that matter.

  • Well stated sir! I'm sure all these negative comments come from people who have red palms and buck teeth, and didn't get them from playing guitar....Oh Rosie....

  • @drywaldo This man certainly has learned the solo and shows decent technique. My only argument with you is that...........this song needs "More Cowbell."

No more disparaging remarks about playing the cowbell, please.

  • @harlon57 needs more cowbell.

  • @drywaldo don´t insult the cowbell! xD

  • @drywaldo every band needs more cowbell!

  • @shiftykilla I appoligize if I have offended. You are correct every band needs more cowbell. You dont have to be bovine(cow) to appreciate the fine tonal qualities of a cowbell........

  • @drywaldo you have a bad attitude

  • @drywaldo Yes, ..... more cowbell. With the high hat symbol.

  • Wha t a bunch of whinners! If your as good as this guy,why don't you make videos ? I would love to play this good!

  • LOL...totally agree. He is 'performing' this tune as a demonstration. Hopefully, you'll be inspired and go to his web site. This guy can flat out play...he hits all the notes, solid.

  • can you give me the tabs pls?

  • Best free tabs on the net...in my opinion.

    ultimate-guitar(dot)com/tabs/s/stevie_ray_vaughan/mary_had_a_little_lamb_tab.htm

  • another example of anorak guitarists copying things like some machine. Get in a band and play

  • You are laughable at best. Ummm,,what about all the guys that SRV copied from, learned from and eventually developed his own style from. Do some GOOGLE research on it perhaps. hahaha..

  • Oh NO! a cover! run for the hills

  • I found the whole thing tiresome. What's the point of playing something that was improvised note perfect? I couldn't be bothered - what about the blues? SRV would cringe

  • There is no effect to cause the warble people are commenting about. He's playing over the studio track and hitting the exact same notes but his time is a millisecond off and it gives a little warble.

  • the riff was WRONG entirely

  • Why the octaver? Sounds awful

  • There is no octavia type of effect. He's playing along to the studio track and not quite hitting the notes at the same time as the recording. As a result you are hearing what sounds like real crummy chorus.

  • killer dude, respect but it would be better with a little bit of soul man... peace and bye =)

  • Spot on hommie!! nice

  • sounds good but it just looks awkward not being played with as much soul as SRV

  • THAT's the part that takes so much practice tho ;-)

  • 'poor example'? nobody can copy anyone else exactly, but this is an amazing effort

  • Is this a mexican stratocaster?

  • yes americans have 22 frets

  • i highly dought its a mexican. old americans had 21 frets. not all have 22 now.

  • That's a Mexican Strat from the mid-nineties sometime you can see it on the headstock logo....

  • he's probably using a chorus effect

  • WHAT YOU PEDAL EFFET?

  • im thinking pitch shifter? but that sjust a guess..

  • sorry but even though the notes are close; it is a poor example of people trying to copy Stevie.....listen to your version and his, you may see the error of your ways......try a different key.....

  • he is in the right key because if you don't know SRV tune is have tone lower (Eb)thats whay may be it dosen't match with you guitar tone and you think he is wrong but he is not

  • sorry i mean half tone down (i wrote have instead of half)

  • scackley, you're a serious douchbag. It's always the guys who make comments like that who are the worst guitar players and understand the least about music.

  • @corneiid who uses the word scackley as an adverb? and if im mistaking, im sorry, but i have never heard that word in my life, if ur not going to give good feed back about this video, then.....shut up.

  • @xFILMZx - scackley is a name (ie a noun).

  • @corneiid alright yes i was mistaken, but still, dont say negative things to something that isnt already negative.

  • @xFILMZx The comment wasn't directed to the video. It was directed to a guy named scackley (who was making negative comments).

  • @corneiid o shit...........my comp is fucked dude, it was saying i was talking to sackley....my bad, i was on ur side the whole time lol

  • Scackley, are you serious? Or is that some kind of sick and tasteless joke?

  • amazing ur really good stevie would be proud that you have learned to play his songs almost as well as him

  • Cool nice solo !

  • good job man

  • you should try playing with a backing track then people will not think it is fake

  • GOd I Love SRV

  • awesome!!!!!!

  • He dont have Steve fingers, he should use thicker strings and hit strings more powerfull not like an old lady. But hes playing is very well i cant play so well so greets!

  • You have Steve's fingers man! I love You are playing his stuff. You know what is good music ;] 5 Of course

  • God I do love this solo.

  • is this supposed to sound like the little kid song lol?

    sure doesnt.

  • No, Mary Had a Little Lamb is a famous blues tune also, originally by Buddy Guy.

  • GREAT!!

  • what kind of effect do u use? i hear it kinda double sounds pretty trippy tho.great job

  • he,s playin along to the record :) .

  • well of course, you don`t think stevie is there with him do ya...he still done a great job.

  • Ahh!:D No need. Now i know it. eflat (eb)

  • Hey guys! Wich tune is this song played in? And if you know, could u then make a video where you tune it to the right tune and send it to me? Please would be really nice.

    Sorry for my bad english

  • "Mary had a Little Lamb" is an old Buddy Guy tune, and it's played in the key of E.

Make sure to tune your guitar down a half-step to E flat, because Stevie Ray Vaughan did NOT play at so-called "concert pitch".

By the way, Jimi Hendrix tuned his guitar down a half-step (to E flat, that is), as well.

    I hope this helps.

  • haha yea so did eddie van halen

  • so i do in my shows! it helps a lot my singing and also my playin!

  • so i do in my shows! it helps a lot my singing and also my playin!

  • oh woah, excellent demo, 5 stars for you !

  • get a thicker guage. it will asound way better, its too twangy now

  • Are you in a band? This stuff is tight, but I'd rather listen to it with a real band on a real scene!

  • love the rakes in this video...you do a great job coverin stevie! check out my stuff!

  • How did you get the timing correct for this solo? There are so many little pieces. I have the notes just tough getting it. any advice. Thanks

  • I think when you figure out each phrase, you just become very familiar with the timing as well. Also, maybe it helps that I always paid attention to timing / rhythm relations. In general, this means tapping out the quarter notes while analyzing how the overlying notes fit in. I know what you mean about this solo. There are some triplet overlays for example, so you have to be familiar with triplet rhythms.

  • Nice job ....God how I miss Stevie.

    He would be proud

  • Marry Had a litte Lamb ~! Great choice and tight.Met Stevie in 85' in providence RI at a sound check

Signed my couldn't stand the weather cd cover, and thanked me for caring.

I cried the day we lost him - but you have brought him back ~ bravo.
