I assume the reason these entertainers 'cheat' by using MIDI playback is so they can guarantee a predictable result regardless of environment. However, the fact they're bouncing the balls in roughly the right places suggests that it could be theoretically possible to do this with a genuine floor piano type device and plenty of practice. The instrument might have to be scaled up slightly, but would have the added advantage that presenters / public could have a go as well.
@kingblades1 It's fake and I'll "back it up" . The keys struck aren't the notes played. Ask a keyboard player to watch this and they'll tell you that.
It's a SEQUENCER! DUH! It plays the correct programmed note NO MATTER WHERE THE BALL LANDS.
Guys.. This isn't fake, people who think it is try learning it, isn't 'Fake'. I can play twinker little star wityh' balls'. It's not that hard after you get the hang of it.
sorry if i'm crushing some people hope, but that is a fake, is just a piano with no buttons, its just plays songs. But he has a very good timing though.
@smalltallhall It CAN be faked, but that doesn't tell us whether it is in this case or not. If he was really doing it, how would you know? The only way you can guarantee it's fake is if you say that no one in the entire world could ever learn to do that. And who are you to know that?
@aj5650 This trick is believable because the pitches play EXACTlY as the balls hit the piano. However, it is impossible because he is not hitting the right keys nor intervals relative to each other (it takes some experience and a somewhat developed ear to notice.) The piano he has on the floor there is, essentially, one button. Every time he hits the button , the device advances one (or 2-3) note(s). He tries to hit approximately where the notes should be. Nonetheless, it is very difficult.
how did i get from anime to this.......

Hmm... maybe it's fake as it didn't look sincere. I will suggest him to get some real Piano lessons from my channel to learn good piano playing.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
i dont know why you would think that...
he would have to have 100% perfect timing and actually be able to make it look like it was real
and thats probably harder than just playing the actual piano

Over-posted and over-rated. It's a simple Sequencer! Plays the next note no matter where the keyboard is struck.
So quit with Eastwood already. His, and Menendez's act have been busted by me, and many others, so many times I've lost count.
Get a clue...it's FAKE!

More than likely yes, that is fake, just like the people who play piano with their penis. Still fun to watch though.

Go to "Juggle Boy" on YouTube. It's so easy a child can do it.
