Van Morrison alias George Ivan Morrison

Van already wanted to become musician as a child. His father collected old jazz and Bluesrecords which influenced him apparently early. At the age of six years he went with his father to record shops and heard the music from Mahalia Jackson, Fats Domino, Ray Charles and many other. Moreover, he visited with his mother often the services in which gospel song music was played. At the age of twelve he belonged the Band „Deannie of sand And The Javelins“.
