@BBonelessStudios Just a little sharing here, two things, first: sexuality is fluid and whilst you might not be attracted to anyone right now, but that might change. Second: look up asexuality. I for a long time thought I was strange or that something was wrong with me because I wanted to date but wasn't attracted to anyone. It took until I was 20 to identify as a biromantic asexual, but I'm happy now. Don't pigeon hole yourself. Just be you, you don't have to decide yet, you're young. Good luck

@EmilyArtsy161 i think you should do what you want to do with the extra cirricular activities. In my eyes, they will always be there, and your childhood wont. You should focus on doing what makes you happy, and not what makes your parents happy. Hang out with your friends, and just have fun :)

I started doing online school so I have lost touch with a lot of friends and he has always been there to make everything better on my worst days. I do the same for him. Your problem is that you binge drink and have sex, so you're falling into the classic trap of thinking "sex is considered bad by society, so I shouldn't drink so I don't end up looking like a whore", when in reality sex is *good* (if you use protection, etc), and *drinking* is bad for you. So stop drinking, and if you like sex, have sex, there's nothing wrong with it.

@miley555100 Joanna, I am the "misfit child" in my family too. It's just one of those things you come to grips with. Your dad loves you and be thankful you have him in your life. I use it as motivation to do everything I do with everything I have. If you can please yourself, that's all that matters. I went from misfit child with the perfect sister to having a very successful career. When you bond with him, do you do things he likes? Take an interest in something of his, might be a start.

You are young and this may be what you want now, but please consider this; Your body is still changing and your system is all out of whack. When you stop growing, and it's what you want still, then I would suggest considering your options for a sex change. But, you need to realize that you can't go back once it's done. I encourage you to talk to the psychologist and I only wish you the very best!
To Anastasia, I don't know if you will see this, but I have always believed that there is a difference between your gender and your sex. I think your sex is whether you were born male or female, and your gender is what you KNOW you are, on the inside, or what you feel you are. I also know that, at least where I live, most doctors who are in this field have you live your life at least a year as the opposite sex before they will do the operation. I'm only 15, but I hope this helps in some way.

@megfence Maybe you can try talking to her outside school? She might blame you for something that you're not aware of (anymore). However, if this is not the case and if she's not harrassing you or trying to provoke you physically, just ignore her because it's obvious that she's not worthy of your time. Anastasia's feelings are similar to my daughter. My daughter came out that she was gay 8 months ago. SHe told me she felt like a boy in a girls body and asked me if I still loved her. I told her I would never stop loving her . How could I stop loving my daugher? At a young age you are confused and going through alot of changes mentally and physically. I told my daughter to be patient and live life a little more to learn more about herself and that no matter what I will always love her.

@Anastasia- be aware, there is NO good sexual change from female to male, so drop that for now. They are all very risky and don't pay off so far. As of now, almost all women who become men do NOT go through sex change surgery. They go through hormonal treatments and dress masculine, etc. Be aware that gay men may not be interested in you due to your sexual organ, but not all of them. This will be very hard, and will take a long time to go through. Years of therapy & treatment. Good luck.

@BBonelessStudios Just a little sharing here, two things, first: sexuality is fluid and whilst you might not be attracted to anyone right now, but that might change. Second: look up asexuality. I for a long time thought I was strange or that something was wrong with me because I wanted to date but wasn't attracted to anyone. It took until I was 20 to identify as a biromantic asexual, but I'm happy now. Don't pigeon hole yourself. Just be you, you don't have to decide yet, you're young. Good luck

I know 6 years isn't a big difference when it's 30 and 36 but there's a big difference between 18 and 24. Hi buck, my big brother lives away , he went to university then moved to there. I started doing online school so I have lost touch with a lot of friends and he has always been there to make everything better on my worst days. I do the same for him. He hates the thought of divorce because his parents got one so he never wants to get one. So he says he is sure he wants to but wants to wait a few years to make sure it's what we really want. @fresk8er Dude...don't be worried about having a girl at 13. I'm sure everyone seems to have one and everyone else says you should. It's a long process to become comfortable around girls. If you like this girl there is nothing better to do than to ask her on a date. Don't build her up in your mind as a 'perfect' person that you can't approach because she has just as many flaws, if not more, than you do. I didn't know that at your age. @miley555100 Joanna, I am the "misfit child" in my family too. It's just one of those things you come to grips with. Your dad loves you and be thankful you have him in your life. I use it as motivation to do everything I do with everything I have. If you can please yourself, that's all that matters. I went from misfit child with the perfect sister to having a very successful career. When you bond with him, do you do things he likes? Take an interest in something of his, might be a start.

dear buck, im in a group of friends at school and we are honestly all nice to everyone. there was a new girl this year. my friends and lots of other people were very nice to her and we made an effort to include her and ask her to do stuff but she always said "go away" or ignore us all together. she recently left our school and told everyone we were bullying her which we never did. teachers are telling my friends we're bullies and people are talking about us bcuz of her lies. what should i do?

hey buck!
im 15 and im just now moving back in with my parents after two weeks of living with my godparents. i have had problems w/ my dad threatening me and such and saying how worthless i am and i needed an excuse to get out. i finally found it when my parents would stay up till two in the morning arguing and i needed sleep bc im still in school. today (thxgiving) all we did was argue and i ended up in tears -just kept my mouth shut and stayed upstairs. how do i deal with him?

Dear Buck, I am a Freshman in High School, and new to the district. I have made some pretty good friends, and I'm worried about a girl who is my frend and sits with me at lunch. She has told us that on the weekends she goes to philadelphia with her friend and smokes marijuana. You are young and this may be what you want now, but please consider this; Your body is still changing and your system is all out of whack. When you stop growing, and it's what you want still, then I would suggest considering your options for a sex change. But, you need to realize that you can't go back once it's done. I encourage you to talk to the psychologist and I only wish you the very best!

To Anastasia, I don't know if you will see this, but I have always believed that there is a difference between your gender and your sex. I think your sex is whether you were born male or female, and your gender is what you KNOW you are, on the inside, or what you feel you are. I also know that, at least where I live, most doctors who are in this field have you live your life at least a year as the opposite sex before they will do the operation. I'm only 15, but I hope this helps in some way.

@Scars792 be very careful with the drunken hookups. I had one once and the guy took me to his place and there was another guy there. I was aware enough to realize that they both wanted to have sex with me. I was drunk enough however to go to their place in his car not mine and he thankfully took me back to the bar when I asked. Be careful.

Hi im meg from MA and I really hope you can help me with this buck or someone because this is driving me nuts Ok i have a friend and she treats me and some of my others like crap she always talks to us with a bad tube and just said its her "bitchie actent" and she talks down to me all the time and makes me feel worthless sometimes i try talking to her but all she does is switch it around and blams me and said im the bad friend. @megfence I dont think she sounds like a very good friend and if anyone makes you feel bad about yourself I truly dont think you should stay friends with someone like that. think of it like this what do you gain for being her friend and what would you lose if you stoped being her friend. try talking to her one more time and ask her to change for you or if she doesnt or cant than you both cant be friends and if she changes it around on you then say ok i will work on this if you work on that...

@megfence Maybe you can try talking to her outside school? She might blame you for something that you're not aware of (anymore). However, if this is not the case and if she's not harrassing you or trying to provoke you physically, just ignore her because it's obvious that she's not worthy of your time. There's no point in trying to talk to a person who treats you this way and makes you feel bad. Just move on with your life and forget about her, I think you'll be happier. You're your own No. 1.

Anastasia, I would say take things slowly in the quest 2 discover yourself, your gender & your sexuality, if u search in yourself over time u will find exactly who u r & that will guide your actions, when it comes to your parents just explain everything to them as best you can & they will understand

Anastasia's feelings are similar to my daughter. My daughter came out that she was gay 8 months ago. SHe told me she felt like a boy in a girls body and asked me if I still loved her. I told her I would never stop loving her . How could I stop loving my daugher? At a young age you are confused and going through alot of changes mentally and physically. I told my daughter to be patient and live life a little more to learn more about herself and that no matter what I will always love her.

no , we don't move on and just forget about it !! keep trying , you know my dad liked my mom since they were little and she said NO to him like 100 times, and then she decided to give him a chance and they finally met each other etc.. and now they're a happily married couple with 3 kids and 2 dogs :) so i guess my advice is try to be friends with him or anything that will lead to you guys finally getting to meet each other and if he doesn't like you then well.. you cant say you didn't try :)

@Anastasia- be aware, there is NO good sexual change from female to male, so drop that for now. They are all very risky and don't pay off so far. As of now, almost all women who become men do NOT go through sex change surgery. They go through hormonal treatments and dress masculine, etc. Be aware that gay men may not be interested in you due to your sexual organ, but not all of them. This will be very hard, and will take a long time to go through. Years of therapy & treatment. Good luck.

I love your show and I love your Dear Buck portion, Keep at it! :) About a year and half ago my mom and I started playing an online multiplayer game and she has begun to change from her usual "motherly" self.
