I'm only smoking an 18 miligram nicotine strength and my plans are to graduate down to zero nicotine in 6 months time.

Anyway, may look silly, but they DO work.

So great to see these getting some positive press! But one thing I'd like to point out - you can buy e-liquid for e-cigs that has NO nicotine. And they also sell different strengths of nicotine so you can taper down. So eventually, you can taper down to no-nicotine e-liquid, which is just flavoring and vapor. That helps with the habitual side of smoking without having to go back to nicotine.

I smoked (increasingly heavily) for the last 8 years. I bought one of these online (the cheapest I could find) and holy crap, Im impressed!! I thought the "pulling" would feel fake and feel like i wasnt inhaling anything, well it feels just like smoking, im not kidding, I just smoked a real cig, it tastes nasty in comparison. Go for it if youre a smoker, so much worth it. And you can smoke indoors or in the car, its seriously amazing.

The problem with cigarettes is their cognitive addiction. As long as you think that you are doing something good for yourself when you hold it or put it in your mouth (i.e: "It relaxes me", "It relief stress", "Makes me more creative", "Helps me deal with a bad day", "Makes me look cool", "Unites me with others like me") - you are not going to quit. You need to FEEL an utter discuss with the whole concept before you can quit

I am an avid pack a day smoker who recently switched to E-cigs. This is not a quit smoking device, but if you have the will you can use it to quit. The liquids you use come in many strengths so if you want you can step down you nicotine intake over time. Also while there are few flavors of it, there are nicotine free liquids on the market. Because nicotine increases the heart rate it is bad for you even without the 4000 carcinogens found in a traditional cig.
Nicotine does NOT have "a lot of problems in and of itself". Nicotine is like Caffiene, they are stimulants. neither by themselves are remotely bad for you, and all you get from an e-cigarette is liquid nicotine
My mother has been smoking for 20+ years and she just switched to the E-Cig about a month ago. After the FIRST full day of using it, she couldn't even stand the taste of real cigs any more. I hope to get mine very soon as I truly believe this device will save lives.

So great to see these getting some positive press! But one thing I'd like to point out - you can buy e-liquid for e-cigs that has NO nicotine. And they also sell different strengths of nicotine so you can taper down. So eventually, you can taper down to no-nicotine e-liquid, which is just flavoring and vapor. That helps with the habitual side of smoking without having to go back to nicotine.
