Just got my 2010 speed3 today and I love it!! It really needs a bov though. Can't hear it at all lol. I paid a lil over 25k out the door and it's been worth every penny...thus far lol. Any tips on what I should get to bypass the 1st and 2nd gear govern and to soop it up would be helpful. I'm new to the whole turbo thing. Anyways your car sounds amazing!

@BloMeRacing101 Thanks for the Comment! There is no engine tuning that works safely on the 2010-2011 Speed3's, but both Cobb & Hypertech are working on it. Hopefully soon. My favorite upgrades were Intake, Race Pipe & the Rear Motor mount. Inexpensive and made a big difference!

@BloMeRacing101 don't be a tool and buy a BoV just for the sound. Our cars work best with a recirculating BPV. Do some research before trying to rice out the car.

@faeker Cant help but be a tool, but I did go with a Forge BPV, Corksport SRI and together it sounds as loud as a 50/50 BOV. Bam WINNING!

this might not be totally related, but i was just wondering about putting a turbo kit on my mazda 3 automatic. Is it possible? Or do I really need it to be manual? Thx

so I tried installing one on just right now, but I guess if I'm not mistaken and didn't get the wrong one, you need more room and will need to get an Short Ram or Cold Air Intake. The stock Intake box is too large for the head/top of the BOV to fit. Sucks I was so excited too. I guess I have to wait and see later on this week once I get my AEM CAI....aughh lol

Yeah you probably have the right one, but it won't clear the stock airbox. You will be super happy when you get your CAI though =)

yah i've had it on for about a month or so. it's a really good CAI and I'm glad the rain is starting to taper off.

This video is a bit misleading because the stock BPV example was shown with the stock air box vs. the TS with an intake installed! The intake a lone is what makes the biggest difference (sound and power). I have the TS installed on my 08MS3 and truth be told its a nice piece but it sounds just like the stock BPV just a bit louder. I understand you guys are trying to sell product but lets be 100% honest here.

Well first, it was not the stock air box. The stock BPV clips were with my CP-E Cold air intake, so it is a direct comparison of sound.

Second, I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm a computer guy from the DC Metro area that is happy with something I purchased =)

Hey, I've watched all your vids I love the speed3, I'm getting one tomorrow if all goes planned. Does the TS DualPort void the warranty? I expect the instal is pretty easy?

Yeah the install was VERY easy and I'm bad at working on cars. Just make sure you have a pretty wide set of pliers for the recirc hose. I don't know if it voids the warranty, but you can switch it in about 10 minutes.

Since you can't link good on youtube, search Google for "streetunit" and it's the first one. They sell a ton of stuff for the MazdaSpeed's and have great customer service. It doesn't gain horsepower, but it holds boost better and the car feels like it pulls stronger.

50/50 and I was having backfiring between 1st & 2nd gears, but nothing higher up. No stalling and my idle was dead even to where it used to be! Good eye on the location ;) You are dead on!
