No, a previous commentor was correct. It is Rowland Salley who wrote the song. He won a Grammy for it apparently. I know this because Chris Isaak mentioned it at his concert, and got Rowland to perform it live...He too does a great job.
Rowland Salley wrote this beautiful song. He's the bass player for Chris Isaak's band Silvertone and wrote this during the Showtime TV show "The Chris Isaak Show" Just saw Rolly do this song at Chris' concert in Primm, NV....awesome
He has still got the greatest hair for an old man, just always have loved him and saw him live in Aussie about 8 years ago with Jimmy Page, what a great concert -they were fantastic!!!!
Obviously great by two top rated performers. After seeing this, my hats of to the amateur duos on here that cover this song. I am even more impressed with those folks after seeing this.
im only saying that it looks like he messed up and said the wrong words and she gave him a look that made him grab the mic. and back off. its just an observation on my part, i could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. by the way, i think they are great together thats probably why i watched them so closely...
I'm glad I'm not the only one going for Alison. I can't wait until the 10th. I'll have to wear my AKUS shirt, just so everyone will know who I'm really there for...as if they care.
watch, dont fish and drive!

Roly's been performing this tune since the 70's, when he was in John Herald's band in Woodstock.

Actually, I believe this is an old John Prine tune. One of the great songwriters of our time.....

Martin Simpson does a delightful version of this also. Can anyone enlighten my ignorance and tell me who wrote it ?

They deserved EVERY grammy award.
Great duo. Has anyone mentioned that Krauss is pretty :-) and Plant is aging well for being an early hard rocker. Great voice combination.

did anyone notice the look allison gives robert at the 19 sec. point of the song. he sings the word "our eyes" instead of "my eyes"
palstart 3 years ago
I think the lyrics are 'our eyes'. Mabe she just wanted to look at him......I would !.

Maybe that was part of the script... when I say "our eyes" you look at me, and maybe people will start blogging about it.

he sings it out of tune to my ears, maybe that's why.

It was an amazing show! I came for Alison Krauss but Robert Plant was awesome too. Great pair, great music.

Thank you for posting this! It looks like you were really close; how many rows back were you sitting?

Hi,
I was on the first row but the stage was very high and the audience was kept away from the border of the stage. It was a wonderful show.
