  • This must have been on Dick Cavet late night or something. Who cares. It still rocks! Thanks for posting. Get the Firehouse!!!!!1

  • @tjp623 It was called the Mike Douglas Show.

  • gene sucks so much. he's a good bassist but that's it. horrible singer and worse songwriter. he maybe had one good song per album.

Paul and Ace rock the world

  • @Amsterdam74yeah Yup, kind of a loud-mouthed shnook. A lesser singer, for sure. Some of his songs were pretty good but he often had help. Bryan Adams(!) co-wrote 'War Machine'...

  • Was that Paul Stanley it doesn't sound like him. I just saw them last night with ps

  • This was my introduction to Kiss as a 17 year old and I was hooked. Why can't we buy Rock Concert Videos on DVD? It's been 35 years already. What's the hold up?

  • Man!!! To be 14 again!!!! Thanks for posting!

  • ha its better live

  • 1 person (not saying any names) needs to drop dead

  • Wow, I had no idea Kiss had this effect on people. Firehouse is just a kick ass song from my past, you people have turned it into something I don't want to remember. Who cares who's gay and who isn't. Kiss kicks ass.

  • ... can't get enough :-)

  • Ahhh.. the 70's, when rainbows were just .............rainbows

  • @eartant .... :-)

  • Were they opening for Rainbow??

  • Not a major Kiss fan but that was pretty fuckin' cool.

  • Beautiful solo!

  • One of the best if not the best Ace Frehley solo, I absolutely agree!

  • @mpesta Wow, you mean his other solos are even lamer than this piece of crap? How is that even possible?

  • @Gregorypeckory Don't knock my Ace, boy. Coming from a jazz snob like you (check out his page), your comment isn't surprising. WTF are you even listening to this? Go put on some of your nice, relaxing jazz records.

  • Sorry can't watch, with the Gay rainbow in the back stage...

  • homophobic much?

  • So it's not the makeup that would throw you off, it's what happened to be on a public stage show when they recorded this for t.v.

    Right...........

  • sorry can't watch your 5 year old comment you sound too childish

  • Please, grow up!

  • @Tommyrox1 Come on out of the closet Tom-anybody that's so worried about his sexual orientation that a rainbow makes him uncomfortable is most likely a repressed gay himself-as most gay-bashers are.

  • No but it was their first one on t.v.

  • Videos like this one serve to prove that "KISS Alive" really didn't need to be 'sweetened' all that much. They sounded fine just as they were. I'd like to hear the album raw, just as it was originally recorded before post production.

  • They we're original back in the day and you gotta talk shit cus you dont understand the shit

  • ohh ohh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So great! KISS was so great at the seventies!

    This performance is just perfect!

  • tht is a lie kiss was big without their makeup not at first but once they came out with 90's stuff like unholy and domino they were huge again im a huge kiss fan and i like most alltheir stuff but the 70's stuff is still my favorite

  • I beg to differ!

On the contrary i think.. Kiss in the 70's with Frehley made uniqe music!

Behind the stageshow, fake blood, makeup and clothes and fire, you have one of the most influential rock'n roll bands of all time.. the stageshow make, stole the show for some of the greatest riffs ever! too bad only a few noticed that. They had soul and character like no other band back then.. Allways remember.. It was when Kiss became serious (somewhere after destroyer) that their music became boring..

  • Fuck you dumbass. Go listen to some music before you open your fat trap. Go listen to Domino, War Machine, Hate, Rain, Psycho Circus, Hotter Than Hell that's rock and roll what more could you want?

  • And they are still around! This got to prove something!

  • Ker...rist! I remember buying Kiss 'Alive' in 1974 (?) with Firehouse on it when the album first came out in Britain, and it was only available on cassette (remember those?)initially (Casablanca EMI) - am I the oldest person in the world? Thanks for posting.

  • no you're not. I remember when all of this was new too. Now i feel like a dinosaur. So now i can turn into oil too, and have some arab sell me!

  • the guitar solo in the middle of this song sounds larger than life, so much soul by Ace.

  • Great comment!

  • first time I've seen this version! great stuff.

  • Awesome song
