Your point about pleasure lessening violence can actually be inferred to show that playing video games can reduce violence because people are using video games as a form of catharsis or stress relief. I know that I do. I used to say, that "No, violent video games aren't going to make me violent. Violent video games KEEP me from being violent."

I came to that conclusion when I studied this shit as well. Well it's up to the induvidual, but most often games and movie violence are some sort of punching bag you let your anger out on.
