@tolests Wrong. Naturally aspirated V8 engines are used in Formula One nowadays, not V12s. V12s are more common on production supercars nowadays than they are on racing cars.

The Aston Martin DB7 you can hear has a 5.9 litre V12 developed by Cosworth, it is essentially two Mondeo engines bolted together.

The earlier DB7s had a much smaller supercharged V6, which to my understanding is a Jaguar engine developed by TWR.

@tolests Uh YOU learn a bit. The V8 and the Virage were both V8 cars.  DB7's had supercharged 6's through 1998. 1999 saw a 6.0L V12 in the DB7 Vantage, the GT, and the GTA. the Vanquish and the DB9 also come standard with a V12. Jaguar has been putting V12's in cars for decades and both te BMW 7 series and Mercedes S Class cars have come with optional V12's for a number of years. Get your facts straight before you tell someone else they are full of it.

F1-cars have V8, had V10 and some cars between 1951 until 1995 had V12.

You can clearly hear the more explosions, a V8 would sound much different. But I love this sound !!

You´re so wrong:

An Aston Martin Vantage always has a V12.

Some F1-cars had V12-engines - only until 1995. Then they had V10s until 2005 and no V8s.

Hypersportscars are a bad joke, they are to heavy and consisting of turbos and superchargers only (Bugatti Veyron = big R8 = very big Golf).

V12 are more than only a technical aspect. They are part of the idendity of some cars (english and italian ones)

Every guy on earth beeing interested in cars would hear that this is a V12 !!

@StuRaz basicly the vanquish has a different and more powerfull version of the 6.0l v12 and has a different exhaust sound, the db9 has a detuned version of the 6.0l and the dbs has the most powerful verstion. they all sound different
