  • Did anyone else besides me just try skipping to the "interesting part" just to find out that there's no interesting part and went to "The Troy Fail" video, which shows some actual footage of an airplane flying behind "Achile" ?

  • bla bla bla bla(talking without stop)

  • @ANTISCHOOLThePAGE I think you mean rattattattaatattatatatablatablattattatattattatatallalalalallalalalalalllallaaalalalallalal.... etc.

  • @Snafu1OH1 and the two

  • What the fu.k iz this video???!!?

  • I do see many of your points as relevant and correct but I still enjoyed that movie, laughed at orlando bloom and thought the fighting was pretty cool.

  • nice vid! I think troy is a rubbish but i stil watch it tho i dont know why :PPP

ok,well Achiles and Patroclus were NOT lovers. Some people think that becouse Homer mentioned in the illiad that that they are "erastes" which comes from the greek word "erotas" that means love/sex.Anyway today in greek this word meens lovers but what Homer said is that they were very close friends.Maybe they used to fuck each other, i mean who knows...:S

sorry for my bad english but i am greek.

And, although Agamemnon DID survive the war, you are in fact wrong about Paris. He DID kill Achilles! Paris shot Achilles with a poisoned arrow, guided by Apollo. Some versions say it was through the heel because that was his weakness, and some don't specify.

And one of your last comments, "a terrible fuck up of history"? Since when has any of this been HISTORY?! It's a myth! And the film was BASED on a book that was BASED on myths that had been passed on orally for generations!

  • *continued*

It was briefly mentioned in The Odyssey, I think, but that's it!

And as for Achilles and Patroclus being lovers, it was never mentioned in any of the Homeric Cycles, merely assumed by some. So you can't really call it bullshit because it's a matter of opinion.

And once again, telling Cassandra's tale would be an entire movie in itself!

  • ...

Yeah, to fit the entire Iliad into a movie it would have to be about 10 hours long. At least. They chose one story and ran with it. Sure, Great Ajax wasn't killed by hector, and yeah Achilles never actually made it into Troy when it was being sacked. And if you're going to bitch about it not being true to The iliad, then where's the mention of the Trojan Horse? That was NOWHERE in Homer's tale!
