  • If you don't want your body to end up in a dumpster, make you you have some life insurance. The family shouldn't have to find funds to bury your ass.

  • disrespectful!!!!!

  • Why would ANYONE take a loved one to that place? It looks like a crack house!

I thought maybe at first that it was because she didn't have a family but then when it goes on to say that the "Family" was working out some way to pay for the body to be buried it really disturbs me.

I am positive that there are reputable funeral businesses out there that would assist the family in that stressful situation.

  • wow! thats messed up. that funeral home looks like a crack house. it shouldnt cost someone a crazy amount of money to be buried if death comes free.

  • i live in san antonio!

    : 0

  • Bahhhh

  • UNBELEIVABLE!!!!

  • if you want a casket you buy it on line for 1,000 6,000 for same one at funeral home.

  • if the family couldnt aford to bury her couldnt they give hear a cheap paurpers funarel they do that in the uk its very basic but least shed be laid to rest

  • Get cremated and buried behind the house in the woods in an old Crisco can. Who gives a healthy shit, seriously? You're gone. What difference does it make? The money that these parasitic funeral home scum rape your wallets for is insane.

  • @DoctorLawyerWhatever It's just respectful.

  • Why don't we just give free funerals to everyone! I mean really, shouldn't everything be free. Like food, water, electric, houses , cars, clothes, tvs, computers... In fact why didn't that funeral home just give that poor family all of their money and what little business they had. Don't they deserve that?? Jeez. Greedy bastards !

(BTW, yea its awful she wasn't buried, respectfully, but it doesn't have to cost thousands people! If you pay that much, you are stupid!!)

  • clearly the family didnt give a crap either....if they had, they would have been making some kind of inquiries about where the body was over the 5 years it wasnt buried.

  • Now that's creepy.

  • How could they be so cruel and inconsiderate to demand money to bury a mother from a grieving family? They should've had the heart to just do it for free. If they were morally fit for this job, why accept the body if they wouldn't bury it?

  • @dman19851996 Why didn't the family go back and have the body removed and let the state bury it. funeral homes (which is a business w/expenses) can't give away free services, that is what the state does when a family can't afford a proper burial...but no they don't want the no money services... they want the big extravagant funeral show for their loved one in a big church and buried in the best spot in the cemetery.... and the funeral should carry the expense... now how does that sound ? really

  • @lovie2000 I guess you're right.

  • why didn't they provide a free service you know they do charge way too much like 7,000 or more rediculas to pay that much it cost 3,000 just to creamate wich i will have done when i die!

  • @army7989 A cremation only costs that much when a family adds extras in their arrangements..... Most funeral homes are just that... they do not own the crematory..... so if all you want is a cremation... go to the crematory and let them cremate you and put you in a urn or a box....

  • continued.... Funeral service cost rise when the families start asking for things like special color caskets with special hardware, book size color programs with photos all over them.. $600 newspaper notices, special flowers, monogrammed casket panels....special casket vaults, the best spot in the cemetery, 3 or 4 funeral limos with 2 or 3 people in each one....at a big church..... All of this is an outside cost not charges from the funeral home and these outside companies want their money

  • @lovie2000 Thank You very much Lovie. I am a funeral director & people DO NOT understand that funerals ARE NOT free. We have vendors that need to be paid, ongoing expenses of phone, water, electricity, etc. Also, families just cannot take a body to the crematory. There is protocol that needs to be handled by licensed people that graduated from mortuary school such as preparation of the body, containers, Death certificate, permits, authorizations. Just let the director handle it. Saves headaches

  • @Stugazza Exactly..... if they want free services and feel like these services should be provided for free.... then they should open a funeral home ..... and see how long they will be open.... giving free services to people and paying the outside costs out of their pocket.......

All of those extra costs are what the vendors charge not the funeral home....... I'll say again the state has services to help families pay to properly bury or dispose of their loved one.....

  • well damn! that is so sad

  • The body jinxed the business

  • I hope the funeral home that operated from disused building gets sued too hi water for the lack and care from deceased family members remains that was in that shed. It makes wonder if any other funerals were foiled up by this funeral business it makes one wonder? If I was too put any money on it I bet they have and it turns my stomach thinking about it too possibly saying goodbye to a stranger and not a loved one we expect to be in a closed coffin or a casket

  • Only In Texas.

  • That's really creepy!

  • I bet they were shooting up dope with that body before they called the cops.

  • WTF???? cmon people we need to treat eo with more dignity than that. you can bury someone in GA or Al in a Government funded cemetery for about 500 bucks, they dont allow headstones or plaques but if there are no other alternatives then you do what u have to do until you can pay for the exhumation and have them placed where they wanted to be placed. Leaving a body in a casket in the shed out back is just disrespectful to that person and the family..

  • It is sad that people don't try to prepare for death. In case anyone was unaware, we will all die one day. The funeral home in this case also was not operating in an ethically sound manner. It is certainly not a good business practice to hold a body for years in hopes of making money on a burial. It seems like the funeral director wanted to look like a good guy. Instead it made him look like someone who shouldn't be in the funeral business at all. I guess if he were business savvy he wouldn't h

  • A local funeral director in Mckeesport Pa. stored unborn fetuses in an unused garage behind his memorial home because he needed the money that he was paid to dispose of them. He was there for years ,but was in an unfortunate area of poor families. Hard times can fall upon anyone. "Bio Chemical Waste" bags in boxes are expensive to discard. I KNOW,

  • that's not a funeral home that's someones jacked up shed

  • texas chainsaw massacre

  • They could have gone through social services.

  • funeral directors are not crooks, get a life and your giving us Canadians a bad name!

  • here,s a story for ya. why was she snooping around an old funeral home for?

  • funeral directors are crooks. they have a license to steal. end of story.

  • Hey smart ass, I am a licensed funeral director & have more ethics than you will ever have. Because 1 director made a mistake does not make us all crooks. Know what you are talking about before shooting your mouth off. In case you have not noticed, prices on EVERYTHING in this world are going up. It costs a lot to run a funeral home.

  • @Stugazza Hey...question...Is there a procedure that funeral homes take for bodies left behind? Such as in this case? Do they get turned over to the police or something?

  • @laughingHawk Usually the police & the county coroner get involved

  • How about stop blaming the funeral director and pay your freaking bill. That's all just pay the bill like you are supposed to.

  • OK...that was fucking creepy. You telling me that this lady was dead for a number of years and they still couldn't bury her in all this time. Cheap bastards in Texas they have...geez.

  • oh snaps 210

  • They could have just put her in a plywood coffin if they didnt have any money

  • Would be nice if people would just pay their funeral bills. Many forget that the funeral home owners and employees rely on people paying said bills to feed their families. Too many people think that they are entitled to a funeral and don't feel like they should have to pay for it. Also, there is a misconception that all funeral home owners and employees are rich because funerals cost so much, not taking into account the operating cost of the establishment or the low mark-up on caskets

  • Looks like it was a top notch facility, wonderfully landscaped and a place anyone would be proud to bring their dearly departed.

  • doesnt the govorment have to pay for the burrial if the family doesnt have the money?????!!????

  • hahaha Just Snooping Around!

  • How much does it cost to dig a hole....a few mexicans??? Come on now...not talking a lot of money here...

  • @Adamexplorer26 Now you need to hush. lol Funerals are much more than a hole in the ground. This is disgusting that the funeral home nor the family tried to do a fund raiser or something. My word. How you just let someone's loved one rot in a shed is beyond me.

  • Haaaaaaahahaha. I don't care how my life goes, I want to end up forgotten in a casket in an abandoned shed behind a boarded-up funeral home in a forgotten part of Texas. Too funny, too bleak. Ha!

  • That's disturbing.

  • The family couldn't pay....so they left the freaking body to get rid of it??? They couldn't just work it out, and bury the body, and do like a kinda rent thing to where they pay it off little by little??? that's barbaric.

  • Couldn't arrangements have been made for a county burial, then the person could at least be interred. How disrespectful.

  • I almost died back in 2003! Imagine if I did and my family didn't have money! I'd be lying in a shed!

  • Funeral homes should be shut down. Greedy bastards one and all.

  • @BrianMorrison71 Who will bury or cremate you then when you pass? This statement is asinine. If this is the case then we should shut down the Catholic Church, Walmart, and every other business in America.Capitalism is what makes our country what it is. It's just not kept in checked. I agree whole heartedly this was messed up. The Funeral Director was a waste of skin, and should have had his license revoked, and been forced to pay for this woman's burial out of his own pocket.

  • @BrianMorrison71 than what will happen when ppl die? are you gonna take care of it?

  • @BrianMorrison71 than what will happen when ppl die? are you gonna take care of it?

  • @regg073 Yes, how about just building a pine box and bury me like in the old days...

  • well come on man,if some one is poor then the state should help out at least,or the funeral home do it and bill um on payment, but to hold one and have it there for who knows how long is just inhumane and bullshit...maybe if they didn't jack ya on a funeral so bad they could do it,7k for my sister and she was cremated rental for casket for 6 hours for viewing was 2500 i was like you fuckers man.money and greed takes over on the right thing to do bottomline..

  • @ltuomela Remember everyone, the law allows us to purchase our Caskets and Vaults where ever we like and the Funeral home we choose has no choice but to accept our caskets we bring to them. You do not have to buy it from them and pay huge bucks! You can purchase them on many websites, eBay and even Craigslist! I purchased a beautiful steel casket for $400 last year on craigslist and the funeral homes sell the same model for $1600-$1900. It is a high profit business!

  • so basically, the business was holding a human corpse hostage and will only bury it when the family pays ransom, and when they can't afford rent, they skip town and leave the body behind?! my gawd....

  • i love how the lady was like "me and my husband were snoopy around"

  • ahh christ on a crutch what the hell is next fucking shity funeral home

  • DIRT BAG OWNER U ASS

  • good god i will be freaked out if I moved there i will have night mares for days

  • My Cousin's daughter died of leukemia. She couldn't afford funeral & cemetery costs. So, they held car wash to raised money for the funeral.

  • I would be in a Psychiatric Hospital if I found a Corpse like that!-HELL NO!!

  • i feel sorry for the family of the deceased!!..the people that worked for that funeral home should be charged for abuse of a corpse cause this is unacceptable!! this just shows you that funeral homes are all about the money!! those greedy bastards!!!

  • @wildnite4u2 you can't be charged for abuse of a coprse. they're dead, what's to abuse?

  • @wildnite4u2 nothing is Greedy, when you go to work you want tot get paid right.

  • @wildnite4u2

Nothing like throwing ethics out the window! It's horrible isn't it!?

Funeral directors like that make other FD's look bad.

  • was she like bones and stuff or was she wit skin still on not tryin to be disrespectful or nothin just curious

  • @MegaGreg06 I think maybe her body was preserved by embalming fluid.

  • wow sad

  • they live in a former funeral home? thats pretty sick

  • You do know that most funeral homes have apartments above them where the mortician lives right?

  • @smaucieri07 no i didnt knew that but thats pretty sick too in my opinion

  • Yeah I think it's gross too. I can barely even set foot inside a mortuary for a viewing, let alone consider living above one. Corpses horrify me.

  • In Texas, naturally.

  • Wel, you got to ask yourself this..

Why is a womand and her husband snooping around on old property like that?

I mean,, mean and my wife socialize with friends, go out to dinner ect.. I have thought of taking my wife to an abandoned building for fun!

  • They can just throw my body in the gulch and throw some dirt on me as far as im concerned. Im going to meet my maker Jesus Christ and be free forever. Free from politics and bills and money and all the crap that we have invented as a human race. Thank God im saved.

  • Keep telling yourself that :)

  • There was one funeral home that was gettin paid to depose the indigents in Florida who was paid by the state. He stacked bodies in closets, fake walls, and one in the kitchen. One body was flatened.

  • Wow thats really creepy......

  • yea i saw that story!! he had a women almost 300 lbs (i think) just laid out on his kitchen table...disgusting and inhumane!!! smh

  • That's nasty and somewhat fucking insane that this could happen.

  • It's the family's fault. You can't reasonably expect a funeral home to cart around Grandma for five years because you don't have any money. Why didn't the family come get her themselves after all that time???

  • my grandma just died 3 months ago, you dont have to pay the funeral home upfront. they set up a payment date for you long after the funeral. . however if you cannot afford to bury someone in a cemetery you can have the crematorium hold the body for cremation and you can pick up the ashes when your ready to pay. they dont make it impossible to bury someone, most places are very lenient.

  • OK, very good.

  • ugly ass funeral home.

  • @ruler1978 YES IT IS

  • if your snooping around in a funeral home your going to see some gruesome things..just like if you walk through a locker room your going to see some dick ! lol

  • My Mom forgot to include underwear and a bra for my Grandma's funeral (4 years this August). So she just gave them her own pair. The family was so Mad.

  • lolol...why were they mad? Atleast it was her daughters undies.

  • my grandma didnt have a bra & underwear either. you really dont need it anyway. they wrap a plastic around the body under the clothes to prevent leakage.

  • well at least they embalmed her but dayam at least take her to the coroners office. they new they was not going to pay

  • They forgot to put pants on my grandpa

  • oh god im so sorry

  • REALLY WOW THATS DISGRACE FUL

  • Oh, please.

  • Oops! Knew we forgot something! Lol.

  • When you go snooping around an abandoned funeral home you're bound to make some gruesome discoveries, that's the whole idea!

  • apparently they wern't chopping up bodies to fit into caskets or selling organs like most funeral homes DX

  • Someones always fuckin' up.

  • lol gringos....

  • @Kawiza I got MY Gringo in your mouth..

Hows that for a "Spanish Surprise"..

  • Why is it that so many jacked up things happen in Texas?

  • its so big!

  • Maybe, because it is a huge state!

  • Big state, alot of people I guess. Jacked up things happen all over the US though. Faster times means stupid shit gonna happen.

  • A lot of idiotic things happen in California and it's a blue state.

  • Not every thing. At least they kept marraige.

  • What about the funeral director in Georgia who was supposed to cremate bodies, but threw them out in the back of the building? That's real "brain" work!

  • @Smartassawhip well because we have everything here in texas nice houses

money and we will kill ur ass if u mess with us...we just need a lil pop on the wrist thts all!

  • @Smartassawhip cuz texas has nothing but steers and queers
