I agree with MaybeMrPurple. Jack was by no means perfect. He made a lot of mistakes and he definitley made some morally questionable decisions and he was definitely shady but his heart was always in the right place, IMO anyway. I always believed that everything he did was because he loved Syd and was trying to protect her even if they way he went about it was wrong.

He definitely WASN'T perrfect and made many mistakes, but I believe he tried his best.

OMG! Perfect song for them. Jack contrary to popular opinion was NOT the greatest dad in the world. He hurt Sydney a LOT!

@ParadiseKendra Nobody ever said Jack was perfect or Father of the Year. But everything he did, he did to protect Sydney.
And btw, Vaughn certainly hurt Syd a lot too yet nobody ever criticizes him for it.
