The Patterson /Gimlin film has never been totally proven either way. Over 50 people have come forward over the years claiming to have worn a suite for the film. What has been proven is that. Neither Patterson nor Gimlin had the anatomical knowledge to fake such a realistic suite if indeed it was one. Nor did they understand that primates dermal ridges run longitudinal and not horizontal as evidenced in thier foot print castings. Due to the evidence in this case. I'd say it's real.
Its important for people like you to think you have the ability to rationally discern the only available data on any topic and harbor some conclusion that only you are privy to. do you know why? Because when we make you think you have intelligence, then you'll believe whatever we tell you to believe, and therefore you'll work for $15 per hour because we'll tell you its a good living. Keep it up, and don't forget to spread the word!
i could watch old documentaries like this all day. New ones like monsterquest take the adventure out of things with their trail cameras and their audio blasters. Good ole' American tracking is true entertainment, and it has more results usually in the end.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
LOL Idiots... That film was proven a fake years ago when the original guy in the suit came forward. Patterson is dead which is why he himself couldn't admit it anymore.
That's total bull, some old guy said he's in a suit but he's just seeking fame, it's still never been debunked. Never will either, since it's real of course.
BloatedSensations, I suggest you acquire the minutes from the Board of review concerning Meldrum's removal from the university (dated June 2). Funny you site the workings of 2 people who obviously have little trust worthy credentials other than on Tabloid TV!. Respectable anthropologist, prinatologist, kinesiologist, and photogrammologist agree the patterson is fake. Meldrum like Krantz both promote the existece of sasquatch purley for publicity/fame and the money!..Get a clue!!!
Well, I've searched high and low. I've been all over Google with at least a dozen different search terms and I've combed ISU's archives. And, I can find no such thing. Meldrum's tenured. That means they would need cause to remove him from his position. But, I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that you don't know under what cause his tenure was being reviewed. Am I right? Perhaps you can provide a verifiable source? Or, did you just pull that whole thing out of your ass?
They heard Meldrums fellow teachers were not impressed with his Bigfoot symposium being held at the University...they had a petition signed to NOT hold it there again...the lie became "Hey! Did ya hear? They signed a petition to get Meldrum fired!"...simple as that! The Dean of the school has said "Meldrum is an asset to the University".
BloatedSensations, Your Another idiot citing the ramblings of the scientific illiterate. Munns Claims to have a PhD in nuclear Physics, Yet is highest education is a masters degree in math from Chicago university!. already he lies about this in his book!. His study on the PGF is a joke. His assumptions cant be validated, anatomical proportions has no base line, and his analysis to Photogrammetric standards have no error analysis! You Better get your facts about Munns!..
What in the hell are you talking about? Munns doesn't have a book. And, he attended Los Angeles Valley College where he studied theater and film. University of Chicago??? You're hopelessly confused. Munns has never claimed to have a PhD in anything. Do yourself a favor and slither away before I decide to start slapping you around as badly as I've been slapping Eminboztepe around.
why it isnt??? LOL THATS JUSt WHAT IT IS XD the man in the suite has confirmed it, and told the whole sory XD but that doesnt mean i dont belive in another primate.
there is one video on here where a big foot was sneaking out of the woods and smelling panties on the clothes line and then wiping his ass on the bed sheet. funny yes but do you realize somewhere somebody is afraid to hang out their bloomers now?
read this(cuz it really wrks). u will gt kissd on the nearest frieday by the love of ur life. 2mara wll b the bst day of ur life hwever if you dnt post ths comment 2 at least 3 vids u will die withn 2 days nw uv startd readn this dnt stp this is so scary snd ths ovr 2 5 vids in 143 mins
Yep, even Rene Dahinden knew Patterson as a "crook" who engaged in mail fraud and ignored his creditors. Bob Heironimus, the man who wore the Bigfoot costume, experienced Patterson's lying when Patterson refused to pay him $1,000 for wearing the Bigfoot suit. Even Bob Gimlin, who calls Bob Heironimus a liar and continues to avoid journalists, was ripped off by Patterson.
And yet Rene never found any evidence for his bigfoot. What a waste of life....
Yes...Salish Indians (among others) depict an ape's face in carvings. Exactly WHERE did Indians of 200 years ago aquire a working knowledge of an apes facial morphology? The brow ridges, prognathism, and deep set eyes....coincidence??
So...without bothering to actually listen to what any of these men have to say...you have found them to be ignorant? Grover Krantz was the head of Washington U's Anthropology Dept. He's the dictionary definitiion of ignorant! Jeff Meldrum teaches a full course load in Human Anotomy and Locomotion in Idaho...yet another ignoramus I suppose!!?? You'd wonder why they'd allow these morons to instruct at the university level!
I cant figure out why you put such faith academic achievement, and implying that people that teach can never be wrong??
How many well educated people believe in the bible and teach/preach the word of god? effin loads!!
Does that mean there is a sadistic creator that knows everything you do watches millions suffer and die, but ignores everything they pray for, that will send you to hell for eternity if you don't worship him?? lmao
Common sense is like sex, some have it.. most do not!
And Jane Goodall shouldn't be considered ignorant either. She has expressed certainty that these creatures exist.
Not knowing the facts is fine when it comes to, say, ghosts that violate the laws of physics, but bigfoot isn't like that, nor is it a crazy creature like a werewolf or mermaid that couldn't be accounted for in evolutionary terms. Bigfoot is a possibility, and if one approaches the subject with an open mind one finds that the evidence for its existence is awesomely impressive.
Belief in God is hardly comparable to the expressed opinion of a well-respected scientist in the field. And who said anything about proof? I said the evidence was impressive - I never claimed there was proof.
The question is whether people like you should be ridiculing something that is debated among scientists in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I think the answer is no.
I had never heard of this, and can't find "When Animals Talk" here on YouTube. If true, it certainly it reflects very poorly on Goodall.
However, while searching the web I found a thread on the discussion board of the James Randi Educational Foundation, where the poster expresses the view that the filmmakers took Goodall's words, such as "we were told about a parrot who can read minds", out of context to make it look like she supported THEIR paranormal inclinations. Can't find out much more.
Martin Hackworth, senior lecture in the physics department and 16 other tenure professors have put to gether a petition to remove Dr.Meldrum and his 200 plaster cast from the university.. proclaiming that his bigfoot research is a "joke" and is a mockery to the university!
i must point out that you are arguing for the sake of arguing, egoic clashes are boring and trite. your ridicule sounds like its coming from a personality steeped in fear of believing exactly what is being made fun of. in a nut shell, you desperately seek annihilation of your constructed opinions on a subconscious level.
Of couse this is a disgrace - to Hackworth. Where does he get off, as a physicist, trying to stifle the work of an anthropologist?
"But please think for a moment: is it really too much for Meldrum to ask that he be tolerated? Whether we believe his claims and his conviction, or not, we have to feel a certain amount of admiration for his perseverance. History is strewn with academics and amateurs who developed theories that were laughed at, but were later found to be right."
Now, you DO know that Goodall said herself that the reason she WANTED to believe in bigfoot was because "she was a romantic," right? From what I understand, she has recently disavowed herself of her belief in giant hairy beings among us that go undetected.
When animals talk: I saw the clip a while back, and I remember her making comment that some parrots can foresee things not through oridnary means. Or maybe not.
There is nothing wrong with a scientist wanting to believe that, for example, there is life out there on other planets. It only becomes irrational if one believes there is life *because* one wants to believe.
I didn't interpret Goodall's quote to mean that she believes *because* she wants to.
I'm not getting any hits for "Goddall ... bigfoot ... disavowed ...", etc. Where did you come to the understanding that Goodall has changed her mind?
You mentioned James Randi. Randi has also pointed out something that pertains to bigfoot, like the PGF, for example: that too many times people are called to judge upon things that they have no expertise on.
This is exactly what happens when you have people like Meldrum and Goodall making declarations that the subject in the PGF is not a man in a costume. They are not qualified to make such declarations.
The Bigfoot Phenomenon (as opposed to bigfoot per se), whether one attributes it to hominoid or hoax-hysteria, is indeed a multidisciplinary subject - anthropology, psychology, sociology, and, shall we say, hucksterism.
I've never been sold on the PGF, but I'm disappointed that no one of Randi's expertise has attempted to recreate the film using contemporaneous technology. It seems to me that it would be very much in the scientific spirit to do so, and "both sides" should be keen.
Randi did say that he felt JREF could, if properly funded, make a "terrific film along these lines", though he did not explicitly say that he was interested in doing so.
Randi does tend to deal with paranormal claims, but he should be interested in any kind of hucksterism, and the fact that he has written about bigfoot suggests that he is not completely disinterested.
Where did you see the parts used to build "Patty"? I'd be interested to see that.
...and he's an Affiliate Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Idaho Museum of Natural History! And, in your opinion, he's not qualified to offer an educated opinion on the bipedal (vertebrate) primate featured in the Patterson film? Again, are you seriously retarded? Or, are you just on drugs?
"This is exactly what happens when you have people like Meldrum and Goodall making declarations that the subject in the PGF is not a man in a costume. They are not qualified to make such declarations."
Seriously, are you retarded or something? Meldrum has an M.S. with a specialty in vertebrate locomotion, a Ph.D. in anatomy with emphasis in biological anthropology, he's published papers specifically on vertebrate evolutionary morphology,
It's a freaking film of a bi-pedal primate displaying characteristics of locomotion! Meldrum holds multiple degrees specifically in these fields, and has published multiple, peer-reviewed papers specifically in these fields. The sole reason you discredit Meldrum's opinion, is because it runs contrary to your own.
And, Meldrum offers no scientific opinion on the validity of the Book of Mormon. That's his faith. Please pull your head out of your ass.
It's fake. I have seen the parts used for the costume. I have copies of the documentation behind the hoax.
Do you want them?
By the way, Martin Hackworth, senior lecturer in the phsyics dept called Meldrum's bigfoot research "a joke" and has a petition with over 30 signatures so far to get his 200 bigfoot plasters yanked from the university.
Hackworth is a toad. And, there's no such petition. Hackworth's petition was in complaint to ISU regarding its decision to hold a Symposium on bigfoot, for which Meldrum was a speaker. If Hack' had legitimate grounds, he could submit a formal complaint to the University to have Meldrum's tenure reviewed. He hasn't, because he has no grounds. There's nothing wrong with Meldrum's work beyond the fact that Hack' finds distaste with the subject matter. And that, ipso facto, makes Hackworth a toad
Provide a citation please. Your proclamation doesn't make it so.
If you go to:
msnbc(DOT)msn(DOT)com(SLASH)id(SLASH)15548356
you'll see an Associated Press article which contains a quote from the Dean of Sciences at ISU stating that no formal complaints have been received regarding Meldrum and his work. The article also describes the Hackworth petition complaining about the Symposium held at ISU.
Again, google "petition" and" Hackworth." One source is a an article written by Jesse Alderman. I'm not going to do your homework for you, sorry! You will have to look up others yourself if you are so inclined.
And the only reason you are calling Hackworth a "toad" is because he is stepping out to the plate and telling the truth about your hero...that his bigfoot research is a mockery to the university.
First of all, it's not MY homework - it's yours. You made the claim, not me. Ergo, the burden of proof is on you to substantiate your claim.
Secondly, since you failed outright multiple times to cite your source after repeated requests to do so, I went ahead and did YOUR homework for you. I found the Alderman article - guess what brainwave! It proves you wrong and substantiates my rebuttal to your erroneous claim!
You didn't give me ANY sources. You told me to Google them. I did that repeatedly - even though the onus is on you to substantiate your own argument. Even so, every source I found proved you absolutely wrong. I then provided those sources here. MY GOD MAN! You need to see a doctor, QUICK! At this point I have to believe you're suffering some form of mental disability.
Meldrum for 30 years declared "no man can walk like that." Yet, he was proven DEAD WRONG....look for "bigfoot Bigfoot: Could the Patterson-Gimlin film have been faked? " here on youtube. So much for his locomotion claims....
Uh, Meldrum was part of the team that proved himself wrong. He submitted his hypothesis, and it was falsified through experimentation. He has since altered his hypothesis to reflect the new data. THAT'S HOW SCIENCE IS SUPPOSED TO WORK!
How is it that he claimed for 30 years that the walk could not be duplicated and when he finally had a proper analysis (DONE BY OTHERS!!!) he was DEAD WRONG.
Again, he doesn't know jack about creature suits. Example, when you wear those big clown feet you have to walk like the way the actor does in the film, or else you will stumble.
Please don't speak on matters you know nothing about.
You're either a liar, or severely misinformed. Which is it?
See the Youtube video: watch?v=HB5I6HgA-CI
In which Meldrum admits openly, on camera, a human ability to replicate the walk.
And, your "30 years" date is a little off - considering that Meldrum didn't even start seriously researching the Bigfoot phenomena at all until after his meeting with Paul Freeman in 1996. (13 years ago) So, I'll add this little tidbit to the already long list of absolute nonsense you've been spouting.
Meldrum claimed that the "proportions" were "inhuman," therefore it could not be a man in a suit. WTF? He got this from drawing bones on the suit!!! This has got to be the dumbest statement yet. You can't draw bones on a suit and assume that those are the proportions! That alone show me how naive he is when it comes to creature suits!!!
Ummm, I hate to burst your bubble, but you most definitely can get proportional measurements from drawing bones on an image. (note that the use of the word "suit" in that sentence implies a pre-determined conclusion - are you interested in good science or aren't you?) It's a little more in depth than just "drawing bones on an image", but that's basically what it boils down to. The measurements won't be dead on accurate, but if done right, will yield results within an estimated error set.
And, the resulting dimensions can be used to calculate probabilities. Putting a person inside a suit does not grant a set of infinitely variable proportions to whomever is wearing the suit.
Look at the classic video of where a bear boxes a man. if you drew bones on that bear Meldrum would come to the conclusion that "no human is proportioned" like that. Try again.
Ummm... Yes. Again, your empty proclamations don't change fact. I've explained the process as simply as I can here:
tinyurl(DOT)com(SLASH)nnrwm6
And, P.S. - getting your friends to, or logging into different accounts yourself to thumbs-down my posts and thumbs-up yours, doesn't help your cause any. It just makes you look like a pathetic, desperate numbskull who's losing an argument.
So, your contention then, is that holding multiple degrees in primate morphology and locomotion, does not qualify someone to offer expert opinion on primate morphology and locomotion? But, if they had some experience as a tailor, then they would be supremely qualified? Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?
Uh....I already proved that he made two statements that were flat out wrong, because he knows nothign about creature suits.
Do you realize how ridiculous YOU sound? Do you realize how stupid is sounds to draw bones on a suit and assume that those are the proportions? Ot believing a film shot by a known conman and hoaxer to be legit?
You sound like Targ and Puthoff when they "validated" Uri Geller's "powers" in the 70's. IDIOT!
Yeah, right, it's just random people marking down the posts! That's believable! That's why it's always exactly four thumbs down, and all four always appear within minutes of you logging into your account, after extended periods of no ratings being given - and this exact phenomena occurs multiple times over a period spanning several days. You sir, are as bold as you are thick - and that's saying something!
And you never did reply to the fact that he was DEAD WRONG on the PGF. Looks all of those degrees didn't do shit in this case, now did it?
My statement stands: too many people who are NOT qualified to speak on such matters are being quoted as authorities on the subject. Sheesh, even a freakin' CARNY could have told you that a your walk will be altered due to the restrictions while wearing a creature suit. Please, you are just embarassing yourself at this point.
To what are you referring when you say he was "DEAD WRONG"? His original opinion regarding the ability for a human to replicate the walk? Or, his overall assessment that it's unlikely to be a person in a suit? If the former, then I most definitely DID respond to that. Remember? That's when I made you look like an imbecile by using the very video you referenced to prove beyond doubt you were either lying or severely obtuse. Do you not remember that?
If the latter, then what is there to address? It's your proclamations (based on opinion which is mostly formed, as you've demonstrated more than adequately here, on logical fallacies, gross misinformation and outright ignorance) against his eminently qualified opinion. What is there to address?
Again, you don't know what you are taking about. Meldrum has no business trying to determine if it is a man in a suit or not. He is NOT familair with 60's creature outfits.
Sheesh, how old are you, 12? This like trying to explain calculus to a gerbil...
Listen, I have to ask this before I go further. I know it's going to sound bad, but I'm seriously not being facetious and there's honestly no insult intended. But, have you ever been diagnosed with some sort of mental disability? I know that sounds like a shot, but it's not. I'd sincerely like to know. Because, if you have, I don't feel comfortable continuing this, and I'm going to end the convo.
Name calling without facts or data is a sign of emotional attachment to the subject. Again, Meldrum may be a nice guy, but he doesn't know jack about creature suits. And look at his mormonism background. My take is that Meldrum is some guy that started out with some real kooky beliefs and has spent the rest of his life trying to reconcile them with reality. Nuff said....
Hmmm. I just finished talking with Dr. Meldrum. I asked him if, during the course of his study, he had consulted anyone with professional experience in suit-making. And, he confirms that: "Yes, I have consulted with several experts in costume manufacture. Perhaps foremost being Bill Munns."
Bill Munns said he had never seen an ape suit made in two pieces. That is pretty bad since nearly ALL ape suits were made two piece, then and now. Go to the JREf forums and you will see how Bill isn't credible when it comes to 60's creature suits, and how he lacks basic math skills. Bill was a believer from the beginning.
I have pictures of the parts used to make "PAtty" in 1967...and the documentation behind the hoax. Bet Jeff hasn't seen that.
"So in this analysis, I've chosen to address this question with the assumption that such two piece fur suits are common and that if "Patty" is indeed a suit, she may be of a two piece design." ~ Bill Munns, from the introduction to part 12 of his "Creature Suit Analysis." ...looks like you're talking out of your ass again.
Sorry, but it is YOU that is talking out of your ass.
Bill Munns said he had never seen a two piece suit before.....again, ALL OF THEM WERE MADE THAT WAY. This PROVES that he isn't familiar with 60's creature suits. Do you have a problem with reading comprehension?
Bill also said that all of the information and documentation surrounding this hoax was "irrelevant". That's just plain stupid. That's how hoaxes work: accept what we give you and don't ask questions.
A well known conman, liar, and hoaxer with Hollywood connections was making a bigfoot movie when he ran out of funds. Then suddenly he films a real bigfoot? Do you need a freakin' sliderule to figure this out? And to this day, no one has ever seen the unedited original negative, or know where it was processed, or why all the copies you see today are heavily edited. It's gullible people like you that keep me on top. :)
ALL goriila suits were made in a top and bottom half?? NOT true at all...ask anyone to find a single picture of one such suit...why would a suit be split at the point were it would be under the MOST stress?? Emin takes stock in Deefoot..who, as it turns out is a stunt man!! He has NEVER made any type of suit EVER...his opinoin over Munns?? Why?? Oh yeah...cuz it goes along with HIS agenda...
Yes, but DeeFoot has actually worn these suits and worked with the greatest creature fx artists in history. Munns was simply a face makeup man for Universal live shows in the 60's. He had no experience with the type of gorilla and bear suits that DeeFoot and Chris Walas have tried to explain to Munns.
Those suits did indeed come in top and bottoms just as DeeFoot has said. Photos of them abound if you dare to look.
Photos abound do they...??..can you supply me a link to ONE single picture of one? Bet you can't!! Munn's was only a face makeup man? His portfolio shows otherwise..
By the way, the person who cracked the case as to where the costume came from was Jeff Pruitt. Jeff is a Hollywood stunt coordinator who works with costume designers. Turns out the suit came from Wah Chang's group in Hollywood. Go to the BFF and read the exchanges between Jeff (screen name is Dfoot) and Bill Munns. Bill was discredited.
I leave this in your court....if you want the docs/pic, then send me an email address you want them sent to. The PGF is a hoaxed film shot by a well known conman, liar, and hoaxer. His own brother in law, Bruce Mondor, said he showed him how he hoaxed bigfoot tracks. The original film? Where was it processed? Where is the original negative? Why has it been edited? Why was it edited? What was edited? Why did Roger lie about when it was made? The list goes on and on...
Did you also know that Roger tried faking a film in '62? Yep. Did you know that Roger was making a bigfoot movie (NOT a documentary) about him and 4 other cowboys tracking down bigfoot to a secret mountain, led by an Indian tracker (played by Bob Gimlin)? In order to have a bigfoot movie you would need a bigooft suit, no? Strange that after he failed to get further funding he suddenly films a real bigfoot...... LOL, yeah, right...
"Did you also know that Roger tried faking a film...yadda,yadda,yadda..."
-Yawn- ...what's all this then? Yeah, I've heard all of this stuff. What's your point? I'm not debating the veracity of the PG film. I have no opinion on it.
As I've said before, Chilcutt's forte was dermal ridge evidence. He looked at his first set of tracks in order to DEBUNK them. He changed his mind after detailed examination of some casts from Washington. Is he 'ignorant' in your expert estimation as well?? I guess they will have to re-open all of the cases where his expert testimony put people in jail!!
How is it, you have an explanation to these dermal ridges posted on your profile, yet you refuse to accept the possibility of it?
And why dont you ever answer any of the other points that I bring up..
I have an idea-its because if you gave them any unbiased thought, you come to the same conclusion as me. But the thought of that would rob a little piece of wonder from the world.
I forgot to ask, when these foot prints are found, has a man ever stood as close as possible to the imprint, to see how far his foot sinks in to the ground? because with feet that big, the ground pressure exerted would be a fraction of yours or mine. has any 1 ever found a recent track, brought a replica foot, placed it close to the "original" and put 500lb of weight on it?? I suspect it would sink MUCH deeper!
The explanation was "they can be faked'...THAT was the explanation! There was NO demo to be had at HOW they were faked at all...unbiased thought? You have GOT to be kidding!! You haven't bothered to look at ANY data at all...NONE! Yet you have reached an 'unbiased' conclusion!? How?
Do you have a program that can look through the fire wall on my computer to check and see if i have looked at the sources you suggested?.
Ok, You ignore what i ask and just continue blindly following the work of your heroes. So I wish you well with your personal crusade to spread the word of this some what illusive big hairy ass'd hominid type thing, and i hope 1 turns up soon.. I really do, but i have serious reservations about the likely hood of that becoming reality, its been fun... ciao.
Lets udate the timeline....it's now been 41 years since the Patterson footage was taken...the closer the footage has been looked at, the more confusing it becomes...there has NEVER been any type of closure device ie a zipper or fastener EVER found...enhanced versions have shown brow movement, muscle flexion, fat or fascia, rippling on the flank, and movement of the mouth.
Yes...you are right....Even after thousands of sightings from people from all walks of life, and hundreds of castings of footprints, some that confound forensic experts by showing dermal ridges, there are those that REFUSE to even allow for the possibility that these animals exist! I assume that is the stupidity of what you speak???
There were people 100 years ago that swore up and down that Mountain Gorillas could not exist because they could not sustain an adequate food supply to support a breeding base. Hmm. They also said that it was impossible not to miss something so huge and apparently populous. Hmm. They also said that the thousands of people seeing these things were crazy. Hmm. Stupidity may not know any bounds, but ignorance is still king, dats, so open learn about something before you decide upon it.
I take that back it was cruel, I have no rite to judge any one just because they believe in..... The Yeti or Big foot the Lochness monster, El Chupacabra, God/Devil, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, Santa, Unicorns, Gremlins, Zombies, Mummy's, Were Wolves, Vampires, The Cracken, Mermaids, Magic lamps, Leprechauns, Trolls, Dragons, Witches, that aliens make pretty patterns in our food stuffs, Man Eating Plants, Faith Healing, Superstition, Voodoo, or the Bogey man!!
You aren't the first to use the Tooth Fairy/Easter Bunny/Santa analogy...you won't be the last...if there were thousands of tooth fairy sightings in the last 300 years, coupled with Indian legends of the tooth fairy, and hundreds of foot castings from the tooth fairy....watch Jimmy Chilcutt here on YT...What do you make of his findings??
There is also a man on you tube that believes, Pterodactyls still exist, as there have been hundreds of sightings.... I was watching a "paranormal creatures" video, I commented... "the joys of photo shop" and got many angry-responses, the fact the video starts out with a winged horse.. is irrelevant apparently.
Im sorry to say you are delusional ,but take comfort in the fact its quite common.
That's funny! The late Grover Krantz was the head of Washington U's Primate Dept...He also wrote several books on the topic. Jeff Meldrum teaches human anatomy in Idaho...several books from him as well...John Bindernagel has a degree in wildlife biology...great book from him as well..ALL 'dumbasses" I guess...none of them the flaming intellect that YOU are right?? If, as you say, you don't care, allow me to re-iterate...fuck off! What part of that are you missing?? FUCK OFF!!
Only an utter asshole makes his mind up about something with NO prior knowledge or facts about said topic to cloud his judgement. ...Yet you maintain that it's ME that is 'producing bullshit from my orifice.' (Who talks like this???) You are the dictionary definition of the word "ASSHOLE"! This is someoine who spouts their retarded gob about topics they know NOTHING about? Sound like a jackass you know?? Find a grown-up and I will have an intellectual debate with them. Until then, fuck off.
The word "orifice" has confused you..lol, "who talks like this?" well in answer to your question, any one that can articulate past "fuck off" i mean i know the kind of people you sound like. They are fat useless Jerry Springer watching trailer trash..Your family perhaps?
You think your expert on something that does not exist?! (I blame fluoride).
But please feel free to excrete some more of your mind numbing drivel, its great for insomnia!!
At least I know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' idiot! And I stand by statement. You are the epitome of the word ' asshole'. I wondered when I was going to be called fat! Next it will be gay as well, right? What about 'still lives at home'? That can''t be far behind! These animal don't exist? Really? I have listed but a few learned men of academia that will tell you otherwise. My threshold for banter back and forth with a halfwit is usually 3 or 4 posts....I think we are there!
YOUR OR YOU'RE basically YOU have an arrogance that is only rivalled by your own stupidity, yet even they are decimated by YOUR own miss placed delusions of grandeur. Pools of dog vomit hold more intellectual insights to the natural world than you do. Honestly go take your head for a shit..stop relieving your self in these forums, no one is remotely interested in the rantings of an abominable ass hole-that's you by the way! I hate having to clarify but you just don't have the IQ to work it out.
At least I spell beyond the level of a 3rd grader! If you don't care about this, why do you CONTINUE to post NOTHING relevant?? YOU have insight to the natural world?? You are a close minded turd!! Answer me turd! What do you make of forensic expert Jimmy Chilcutt's findings?? Answer turd! YOU claim tto have the superior I.Q. here...answer turd!
You are telling me that YOU are the intelligent one here? "You think your expert". It's 'you're' moron. It's called a 'contraction'. Find a grown-up to look it up. Who lives in a trailer park, you illiterate turd? I blame fluoride for your lack of spelling skills. What a surprise that you know NOTHING about this topic, yet firmly state an opinion! Classic jackass behaviour! Have you listened to forensic expert Jimmy Chillcut and his 'mindnumbing drivel.'? You know what's great for insomnia?
Oh, so its time to turn this in to a fucking English lesson is it? Rule number 1 when acting clever; practice what you preach to avoid looking like a fucking hypocrite loser! Some of you "brilliance" that i let slide..."sleeping pilss" "mindnumbing" "asshole" x 5 "someoine"
So if there are 300 sleeping PILLS to be taken, might I suggest a certain idiot, a MIND NUMBING ASS HOLE! And that SOMEONE is reading this right now.
So sasquatch boy, what other ways of sounding stupid have you got left?
"I blame fluoride for your lack of spelling skills" NO
Thats not what i said..." NO...it's what I said you mongoloid! Were your parents brother and sister? What a surprise! A close minded asswipe that doesn't know a single shred of info on this topic has made his mind up! Brilliant! What do you make of Krantz? Meldrum?

LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
Good for Jane, there are millions of people that express certainty that gods exists as well.
But sadly opinions have little scientific merit
and mean little in the academic arena.

datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
Belief in God is hardly comparable to the expressed opinion of a well-respected scientist in the field. And who said anything about proof? I said the evidence was impressive - I never claimed there was proof.
The question is whether people like you should be ridiculing something that is debated among scientists in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I think the answer is no.

Can't find out much more.

LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
Now, you DO know that Goodall said herself that the reason she WANTED to believe in bigfoot was because "she was a romantic," right? From what I understand, she has recently disavowed herself of her belief in giant hairy beings among us that go undetected.
When animals talk: I saw the clip a while back, and I remember her making comment that some parrots can foresee things not through oridnary means. Or maybe not.
eminboztepe 2 years ago
There is nothing wrong with a scientist wanting to believe that, for example, there is life out there on other planets. It only becomes irrational if one believes there is life *because* one wants to believe.
I didn't interpret Goodall's quote to mean that she believes *because* she wants to.
I'm not getting any hits for "Goddall ... bigfoot ... disavowed ...", etc. Where did you come to the understanding that Goodall has changed her mind?
LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
"There is nothing wrong with a scientist wanting to believe that, for example, there is life out there on other planets"
No one ever said otherwise.
Goodall said, specifically: "Of course I want to believe in bigfoot....I'm a romantic"
How more straightforward can you get?
eminboztepe 2 years ago
Fine, Goodall said "I want to believe in bigfoot ... I'm a romantic", but again, where did she say "and that's why I believe"?
LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
I think her statement speaks for itself.
eminboztepe 2 years ago
One other thing....
They are not qualified to make such declarations.
eminboztepe 2 years ago
The Bigfoot Phenomenon (as opposed to bigfoot per se), whether one attributes it to hominoid or hoax-hysteria, is indeed a multidisciplinary subject - anthropology, psychology, sociology, and, shall we say, hucksterism.
I've never been sold on the PGF, but I'm disappointed that no one of Randi's expertise has attempted to recreate the film using contemporaneous technology. It seems to me that it would be very much in the scientific spirit to do so, and "both sides" should be keen.
LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
"I'm disappointed that no one of Randi's expertise has attempted to recreate the film using contemporaneous technology"
There would be no beneft to it. And besides, Randi deals with paranormal claims, in which a "sasquatch" would not apply.
I have seen the parts used to build "Patty" in 1967. It isn't all that impressive, as seen in the film.
eminboztepe 2 years ago
Randi did say that he felt JREF could, if properly funded, make a "terrific film along these lines", though he did not explicitly say that he was interested in doing so.
Randi does tend to deal with paranormal claims, but he should be interested in any kind of hucksterism, and the fact that he has written about bigfoot suggests that he is not completely disinterested.
Where did you see the parts used to build "Patty"? I'd be interested to see that.
LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
There would be no benefit to Randi recreating the PGF. Believers would say that it wasn't as good as "Patty," no matter what.
Send me an email address and I will send you the docs.

How is it that he claimed for 30 years that the walk could not be duplicated and when he finally had a proper analysis (DONE BY OTHERS!!!) he was DEAD WRONG.

BloatedSensations 2 years ago

There is even a video here on youtube that shows Meldrum in denial.
And again, you quote this guy like he is some sort of unquestionable authority yet it turns out he was dead wrong.
eminboztepe 2 years ago 4
Want more?
Meldrum claimed that the "proportions" were "inhuman," therefore it could not be a man in a suit. WTF? He got this from drawing bones on the suit!!! This has got to be the dumbest statement yet. You can't draw bones on a suit and assume that those are the proportions! That alone show me how naive he is when it comes to creature suits!!!
eminboztepe 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
Ummm, I hate to burst your bubble, but you most definitely can get proportional measurements from drawing bones on an image.
BloatedSensations 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
And, the resulting dimensions can be used to calculate probabilities. Putting a person inside a suit does not grant a set of infinitely variable proportions to whomever is wearing the suit.
BloatedSensations 2 years ago
Ummm.....no.
Look at the classic video of where a bear boxes a man. if you drew bones on that bear Meldrum would come to the conclusion that "no human is proportioned" like that. Try again.

And look at his mormonism background. My take is that Meldrum is some guy that started out with some real kooky beliefs and has spent the rest of his life trying to reconcile them with reality. Nuff said....

Yes..please don't call Emin any names...it's ok however for him to talk down to you and refer to you as a gerbil...
joeyvader 2 years ago
He was dead wrong on the walk. He is dead wrong about drawing bones on a suit.
Really, your childish comments here are pathetic. Either address my points or leave. Put up or shut up, please.

Hmmm. I just finished talking with Dr. Meldrum. I asked him if, during the course of his study, he had consulted anyone with professional experience in suit-making. And, he confirms that: "Yes, I have consulted with several experts in costume manufacture. Perhaps foremost being Bill Munns."
BloatedSensations 2 years ago
New to this subject, are ya?

BloatedSensations 2 years ago
Sorry, but it is YOU that is talking out of your ass.
Bill Munns said he had never seen a two piece suit before.....again, ALL OF THEM WERE MADE THAT WAY. This PROVES that he isn't familiar with 60's creature suits. Do you have a problem with reading comprehension?
Bill also said that all of the information and documentation surrounding this hoax was "irrelevant". That's just plain stupid. That's how hoaxes work: accept what we give you and don't ask questions.
Try again.
eminboztepe 2 years ago
I mean, how dumb can you be?
A well known conman, liar, and hoaxer with Hollywood connections was making a bigfoot movie when he ran out of funds. Then suddenly he films a real bigfoot? Do you need a freakin' sliderule to figure this out? And to this day, no one has ever seen the unedited original negative, or know where it was processed, or why all the copies you see today are heavily edited. It's gullible people like you that keep me on top. :)
eminboztepe 2 years ago
ALL goriila suits were made in a top and bottom half?? NOT true at all...ask anyone to find a single picture of one such suit...why would a suit be split at the point were it would be under the MOST stress?? Emin takes stock in Deefoot..who, as it turns out is a stunt man!! He has NEVER made any type of suit EVER...his opinoin over Munns?? Why?? Oh yeah...cuz it goes along with HIS agenda...
joeyvader 2 years ago
Yes, but DeeFoot has actually worn these suits and worked with the greatest creature fx artists in history. Munns was simply a face makeup man for Universal live shows in the 60's. He had no experience with the type of gorilla and bear suits that DeeFoot and Chris Walas have tried to explain to Munns.
Those suits did indeed come in top and bottoms just as DeeFoot has said. Photos of them abound if you dare to look.
Anonologist 2 years ago
Photos abound do they...??..can you supply me a link to ONE single picture of one? Bet you can't!! Munn's was only a face makeup man? His portfolio shows otherwise..
joeyvader 2 years ago 2

The list goes on and on...
eminboztepe 2 years ago 3

I guess they will have to re-open all of the cases where his expert testimony put people in jail!!
joeyvader 2 years ago
How is it, you have an explanation to these dermal ridges posted on your profile, yet you refuse to accept the possibility of it?
And why dont you ever answer any of the other points that I bring up..
I have an idea-its because if you gave them any unbiased thought, you come to the same conclusion as me. But the thought of that would rob a little piece of wonder from the world.
And your not prepared to take that chance.
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
What points did you bring up that I didn't adress? Did you listen to Chilcutt?
joeyvader 2 years ago
Fuck.. fuck fuckity fuck... grrrr bollox, (frustration)
I suspect it would sink MUCH deeper!
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
Of course they've done this. The impressive depth of the footprints is one of many frequently-cited traits pointing toward their authenticity.
LeafInTheStream 2 years ago
The explanation was "they can be faked'...THAT was the explanation! There was NO demo to be had at HOW they were faked at all...unbiased thought? You have GOT to be kidding!! You haven't bothered to look at ANY data at all...NONE! Yet you have reached an 'unbiased' conclusion!? How?
joeyvader 2 years ago
Do you have a program that can look through the fire wall on my computer to check and see if i have looked at the sources you suggested?.
Ok, You ignore what i ask and just continue blindly following the work of your heroes. So I wish you well with your personal crusade to spread the word of this some what illusive big hairy ass'd hominid type thing, and i hope 1 turns up soon.. I really do, but i have serious reservations about the likely hood of that becoming reality, its been fun... ciao.
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
Lets udate the timeline....it's now been 41 years since the Patterson footage was taken...the closer the footage has been looked at, the more confusing it becomes...there has NEVER been any type of closure device ie a zipper or fastener EVER found...enhanced versions have shown brow movement, muscle flexion, fat or fascia, rippling on the flank, and movement of the mouth.

stupidity knows no bounds
datssumfunnyshit 3 years ago
Yes...you are right....Even after thousands of sightings from people from all walks of life, and hundreds of castings of footprints, some that confound forensic experts by showing dermal ridges, there are those that REFUSE to even allow for the possibility that these animals exist! I assume that is the stupidity of what you speak???
joeyvader 3 years ago

Believe what you like, lol
datssumfunnyshit 3 years ago
You aren't the first to use the Tooth Fairy/Easter Bunny/Santa analogy...you won't be the last...if there were thousands of tooth fairy sightings in the last 300 years, coupled with Indian legends of the tooth fairy, and hundreds of foot castings from the tooth fairy....watch Jimmy Chilcutt here on YT...What do you make of his findings??
joeyvader 3 years ago
There is also a man on you tube that believes, Pterodactyls still exist, as there have been hundreds of sightings.... I was watching a "paranormal creatures" video, I commented... "the joys of photo shop" and got many angry-responses, the fact the video starts out with a winged horse.. is irrelevant apparently.
Im sorry to say you are delusional ,but take comfort in the fact its quite common.
As i said before, believe what you like.
I couldn't care less!

FUCK OFF!!
joeyvader 2 years ago
lol, Your funny little freak aren't you?.
Wow look a minotaur just ran past.
Thats a point,
Do you know what you both have in common?
You both produce a LOTS of bullshit only from different orifices...
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
Only an utter asshole makes his mind up about something with NO prior knowledge or facts about said topic to cloud his judgement. ...Yet you maintain that it's ME that is 'producing bullshit from my orifice.' (Who talks like this???) You are the dictionary definition of the word "ASSHOLE"! This is someoine who spouts their retarded gob about topics they know NOTHING about? Sound like a jackass you know?? Find a grown-up and I will have an intellectual debate with them. Until then, fuck off.
joeyvader 2 years ago
I stand by my earlier statement, You are a moron.
But please feel free to excrete some more of your mind numbing drivel, its great for insomnia!!
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
At least I know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' idiot! And I stand by statement. You are the epitome of the word ' asshole'. I wondered when I was going to be called fat! Next it will be gay as well, right? What about 'still lives at home'? That can''t be far behind! These animal don't exist? Really? I have listed but a few learned men of academia that will tell you otherwise. My threshold for banter back and forth with a halfwit is usually 3 or 4 posts....I think we are there!
joeyvader 2 years ago
YOUR OR YOU'RE basically YOU have an arrogance that is only rivalled by your own stupidity, yet even they are decimated by YOUR own miss placed delusions of grandeur. Pools of dog vomit hold more intellectual insights to the natural world than you do. Honestly go take your head for a shit..stop relieving your self in these forums, no one is remotely interested in the rantings of an abominable ass hole-that's you by the way! I hate having to clarify but you just don't have the IQ to work it out.
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
At least I spell beyond the level of a 3rd grader! If you don't care about this, why do you CONTINUE to post NOTHING relevant?? YOU have insight to the natural world?? You are a close minded turd!! Answer me turd! What do you make of forensic expert Jimmy Chilcutt's findings?? Answer turd! YOU claim tto have the superior I.Q. here...answer turd!
joeyvader 2 years ago
You are telling me that YOU are the intelligent one here? "You think your expert". It's 'you're' moron. It's called a 'contraction'. Find a grown-up to look it up. Who lives in a trailer park, you illiterate turd? I blame fluoride for your lack of spelling skills. What a surprise that you know NOTHING about this topic, yet firmly state an opinion! Classic jackass behaviour! Have you listened to forensic expert Jimmy Chillcut and his 'mindnumbing drivel.'? You know what's great for insomnia?
joeyvader 2 years ago
Oh, so its time to turn this in to a fucking English lesson is it? Rule number 1 when acting clever; practice what you preach to avoid looking like a fucking hypocrite loser! Some of you "brilliance" that i let slide..."sleeping pilss" "mindnumbing" "asshole" x 5 "someoine"
So if there are 300 sleeping PILLS to be taken, might I suggest a certain idiot, a MIND NUMBING ASS HOLE! And that SOMEONE is reading this right now.
So sasquatch boy, what other ways of sounding stupid have you got left?
datssumfunnyshit 2 years ago
"I blame fluoride for your lack of spelling skills" NO
Thats not what i said... It was complicated as
"I blame fluoride" followed " you believe you can become and expert in something that does not exist".
Actually it was not complicated at all, and yet Captain Retard of the USS Sasquatch couldn't grasp it, how unsurprising.. *yawn and shakes head*
It was clear you would be stupid, but my god...lmao

"I blame fluoride for your lack of spelling skills" NO
Thats not what i said..." NO...it's what I said you mongoloid! Were your parents brother and sister? What a surprise! A close minded asswipe that doesn't know a single shred of info on this topic has made his mind up! Brilliant! What do you make of Krantz? Meldrum? Bindernagel? etc. etc...what are your thoughts on their findings, Turd? Well? I can't wait to here your "intelligent" musings...
joeyvader 2 years ago
well you copy n paste and quote me so often as your own thought patterns dont allow for anything other than being a parrot, I mistook you using something i had already said and adding abit.
But thats even more nonsensical as... the uk doesn't add fluoride to its water supply.. so your lame attempt at a come back, failed yet ....again, so my delusional but WELL hydrated !! empty head, what are you going to get wrong next... the world is your oyster!!

There were actually some lowland gorillas found last summer in the Congo...they had eluded discovery until 2008...recent census of their numbers puts them at 80,000...that's right!! 80,000 gorillas MISSED by science until last summer!! Sceptics are quick to point out that this is the Congo...not the well heeled Pacific North West...BC alone has some 200,000 square km of VAST mountainous terrain...Imagine how much room each animal gets if there are 100 in BC....
