I've got a feeling that comparing this prince to the new one is kinda like comparing Altair to Lara Croft. Sure they can do some of the same things, but let's face it: They're entirely different characters.
You're right, though. I'm not ready to just file away our good buddy Yuri Lowenthal Prince (and heck, Robin Atkin Downes Prince as well) and call him finished. That's why I'm still keeping the prince in my videos! Mwuahahaha!
