you could go in hockey far if you wanted and if you want to stick with it because there are players in the nhl that never get drafted and play there rookie season at the age 32. stick with it
@xjoesaintcoolx I am in a law school now, so I dont have som much time for hockey, I really like ice hockey and I enjoy practising to get better at it, but I dont consider hockey as no. 1 thing in my life.
Pretty good. Transitions with puck handling would help you out. But, you have a good shot and some legs. What do you want to do with hockey? Keep it up, buddy.
i started highschool hockey and bein the less expierienced on my team i could really use some tips mostly wit snap shots, how to get a harder shot, and how to become more comfortable on the ice. please do help
@hockeyplaya2029 its really difficult to give you any advice since i have not seen you play.....what is your main problem ? is it skating or shooting? or ability to read the game?
@mitchel3335 mostly wit hitting u no i hit fine and stuff but it seems that i always fall when being bumped also when plays r goin on i feel so out of them
@killedE1mo maybe i would. but the video wasnt made in the game.. and i learned how to handle the puck with my head up before i learned how to shoot one timers :-)
u hav some serious talent! hope u get into the NHL or at least the highest ur aiming for cos that was sweet, watched that so many times, especially that slapshot around 1:38...sick!! gd luck with everythin
what stick would you recommend? im 14 freshman in high school. im playing with some seniors on my line. i really want to get a stick that would have a good wrist/snap shot
@halofreak222 well its simple, make sure that the shaft is not too stiff, pick one thats is the lightest, when it comes to choosing between the different brands they are almost all basically the same
it depends a lot on the angle of the blade, try different ones to see which one fits you the most, and then keep on shooting so you "feel the puck" on the blade, but be careful ..you are only 14, you have plenty of time to work on your slapshot, dont try just to shoot high, try to feel which part of the blad you shoot from,
shoot from diffrent angles and distances so you "get to know your blade"
wow u are good keep it up if i had to say one thing to improve on is to shoot farther out on those skating drills we all know those close up shots dont happen too often
thanks.....some people think that iam not so fast because the frequency of my strides is not so high but often although other plyayer has high frequency, his strides are short and most of the time i can outskate him
i'm from canada i have played a high level of hockey my whole life....some good advice is for you is to work on your skating..its not as smooth as it could be you look clumbsy in some part...either than that you seem to be really good.
actually stopping your feet is bad, everyone is trained to move their feet when shooting, its so the goalie doesnt know when your going to shoot. stopping does give you more aim, but the goalies can read that too well.
thanks..... when i skate toward the net, the angle is changing rapidly, thats why its so difficult to aim and shoot to the corners.....if one stand still, like they don in nhl all star games, shooting to the corners is a piece of cake
Wow you are inpressive. I've noticed from the other European players on my team that the skating skills in Europe are amazing. You all have a nice low center gravity and powerful strides. What League do you play in?
Thanks for compliments. At the moment I dont play anywhere. I used to play diffrent leagues in Europe from top to middle range. what league do you play?
Im 17 and playing in the MJHL this season, but next year I have gotten draft offers from the Fargo Force and the Bismarck Bobcats in the USHL and the Kenai River Brown Bears, Mahoning Valley Phantoms, and Owatonia Express.
Hey, i tried to leave a reply with an internet link to my local team but i doubt you received it! Sure i will give you a message when i post up my vid!
May i ask how many times you train a week?
I only play for a recreational team but we have a young slovakian player who came to play for us this year, he's an amazing player! Anyways keep up the good work!
May i ask what country you are from? I play ice hockey in the UK, must say i like your skating you have a strong and powerful stride, i think you'd make a good attacker as you can really break strong and i'm sure you'd put alot of pressure on the D! Nice video buddy i'll post one up of me sometime!
I am slovakian. What league do you play? You seem to understand hockey quite a bit. You made the same comment about my skating as one of the russian coaches that has seen me. I ll be looking forward to see your video.
I've seen a lot better in the small town I'm from...
