The reason they don't have any CFL in Madden is because CFL is a totally different game. What's the point of having CFL teams/players if you're dealing with an entirely different sport?
@jeterboy12 It's not like NCAA vs. NFL, they're two TOTALLY different sports! The field sizes are different, the end zone sizes are different, the placement of the goal posts are different, the number of downs is different, the number of players on the field is different, CFL has singles and American football doesn't, etc. etc. It would be one thing if it were something along the lines of NCAA vs. NFL, but the sports are way too different to be implemented together effectively.
I know but EA's an ass to ask for large sums when they have opposing leagues in their other games. I mean NHL has the KHL and other leagues. FIFA has whatever they have, why wouldn't the CFL be included too in a Madden Game? Anyway it's just my opinion, in the end I still prefer to watch a game of football than play it on a console.

I know i would buy the game and I know that ea sports would be a great producer since it is CANADIAN and I think the market would be big enough for a CFL game now
@PamGamble I guess you don't know about the NFL vs CFL tournament in the 50's and 60's, I also guess you don't know why this tournament doesn't exist anymore: Because the last game in 1961 was won by a canadian team, and you american were so scared to loose again that you decided not to participate anymore... but it seems you'd need a new lost to shut definitely your mouth about CFL not being as good as NFL. The biggest difference is that NFL players play for money and CFL play for football!

The team that lost that game (The Buffalo Bills) was part of the AFL, not the NFL, and had only been in existence for one season. Also, the Bills finished dead last in the AFL that season while Hamilton were one of the better teams in Canada. To give you some perspective, that's like the Green Bay Packers (Super Bowl champs) playing Winnipeg (worst record). It wouldn't be close, don't kid yourself.

To be honest if the Madden franchise would do like NHL did with the CHL in NHL 11 we could very well see the CFL within one Madden game one of these days. I mean the NHL franchise has several european leagues so why wouldn't Madden take the CFL? It's something EA Sports should think about.

@MrJSPrime To have a CFL version inside an NFL game isn't as easy as the hockey with CHL, since the rules are quite different (size of field, location of goal posts number of men on field etc.). Best would be a separate CFL game maybe which could include Canadian Univerity football instead (Go U of S Huskies).

@MrJSPrime It is something EA is thinking about; however, the issue lies in royalties. Since EA wouldbe exposing the CFL to a large American demographic, they're asking for a sick amount of money. And I'm sure you know how limited the CFL budget really is (max salaries not exceeding 400 000 a year!).
