May i just say that Zangief is one of my favourites to play as (annoys my mates) but i think i may prefer to play as haggar he looks like a much better wrestler than Zangief plus he has a pipe so I agree Zagief is good but the removal of Zangief and addition of Haggar actually makes the game appeal more to me just like M.O.D.A.K's addition i'd like to see the new faces rather than the old reappearing ones the diversity could be very good.

As a new rule of thumb, all awesome Final Fight characters making a huge comeback are required to be able to "Turn the Beat Back." The sole exception to this rule is Guy, because real ninjas wear Nikes.
Being an Street Fighter vs X-Men, MVC1 and 2 Fan I was not really lookiong forward to this one cause of Lack of X-Men in it, but now that more trailers have come out I'm feeling ALOT better about this one! I only wish for Rogue and Cyclops and I'd be bouncing up and down!

There's no way you can compare this game to it's predecessor, however people should look back at the first Marvel vs Capcom and compare it to this one. 18 characters vs 34 so far? after a 10 year hiatus i see it as new beginning who knows maybe they'll be more DLC or the inevitable Capcom sequel.

actual mike hagger was out before zangief final fight was 19 89 streetfighter 2 was 91 so technically hagger had the move first but zangief is more popular and well known for his version of it

I'm completely hyped about these two characters, that bring back some dignity to the roster (after MODOK and all those chubby grinning midgets).
As a Street Fighter, Final Fight and mostly X-Men fan, I couldn't be happier.
That being said... when I saw the title, I thought it was about the lovable, but innocuous Phoenix Wright. Luckily it's Jeannie. Watch her resurrect in the comics in less than 2 months after the game comes out. :P

@rdot18 To me this game is a test run. Why you ask? Look at the roster it's decent but it's not as epic, memorable and will not match the legendary cult following of MVC2. Lots of fan faves are missing and lots of Marvel and Capcom's superstar players are sitting this one out. Granted the X-Men dominated Marvel's roster in the previous but in their absence you need to fill the void with equally weightful characters. Capcom the same so brace yourself for the fan backlash and inevitable sequel.
Ok! After a 2nd look, Haggar could have had some more original moves. The Giant Swing he stole from Colossus, the back drop from Alex, the smackdown from She-Hulk, SPD from Zangief and his Spinning Lariet. Come Capcom, give this man some original moves! :)
@Ironmonk036 Zangief actually copied Haggar's moves is says so in Zangief's Street Fighter 2 bio. The spinning Lariat is Haggar's trademark, but the SPD is Zangief's own. I guess since we couldn't have any o f the two mentioned russians, having Haggar use their moves is the next best thing, but not entirely.
That level 5 Hyper that Phoenix has is too powerful. All you can really do is activate your own hyper and hope it kills her. Also her Healing Sphere needs to be tweaked! Haggar looks like a more improve version of Zangief. Love his ultras.

Only two characters revealed that's kinda lame considering the little time left for the game's release and i believe there are more characters left to be revealed don't you think?
@ProjectH1980 If you notice Jean's resurrection move has a time limit and I guess a full special bar (like lvl 4 or so) even if her life returns to full it still goes down quickly! So far I am happy with the addition of Haggar and Phoenix, plus I noticed teh Marvel side is lacking female characters!

I've given up on using grapplers in the past, but I've gotten fairly used to the whole 360 scheme...Haggar gives me even more reason to get used to them! I'll probably continue to suck but still...it's Haggar. It's worth the attempt. =P
I'm stoked about Phoenix too. All of the characters revealed so far have been awesome.
Finally they add Haggar into a fighting game, i was hoping that they added him to Super Street Fighter 4, but it looks like they wont but still its great to see him back into action.
I know it was pretty hard making a character like her because there is so much demand for powers and shit but after all those damn mugen sprites of so many Phoenix and jean grey characters its about time. even thought she aint my favorite x-men is in my opinion the most powerful mutant in that universe.

I'm completely hyped about these two characters, that bring back some dignity to the roster (after MODOK and all those chubby grinning midgets).
As a Street Fighter, Final Fight and mostly X-Men fan, I couldn't be happier.
That being said... when I saw the title, I thought it was about the lovable, but innocuous Phoenix Wright. Luckily it's Jeannie. Watch her resurrect in the comics in less than 2 months after the game comes out. :P

Phoenix,I'll rather wish to see Ms.Marvel.,Carol Danvers should've been on MVC3,not Phoenix.I am a disappointed at Marvel.

ok im not trying to hate on this game because i love capcom and they make good games but lets all be honest, capcomn has a history of taking a good games such as the mvc series or any other legendary game they make and making crappy sequels to it. dont get me wrong im def gona buy this game and play the hell out of it but i guarantee that this game is only gonna be hot for a short while(well at least until sf x tekken arrives) and in tournaments but all in all im jus voicing my opinion

@rdot18 To me this game is a test run. Why you ask? Look at the roster it's decent but it's not as epic, memorable and will not match the legendary cult following of MVC2. Lots of fan faves are missing and lots of Marvel and Capcom's superstar players are sitting this one out. Granted the X-Men dominated Marvel's roster in the previous but in their absence you need to fill the void with equally weightful characters. Capcom the same so brace yourself for the fan backlash and inevitable sequel.

Ok! After a 2nd look, Haggar could have had some more original moves. The Giant Swing he stole from Colossus, the back drop from Alex, the smackdown from She-Hulk, SPD from Zangief and his Spinning Lariet. Come Capcom, give this man some original moves! :)

@Ironmonk036 Zangief actually copied Haggar's moves is says so in Zangief's Street Fighter 2 bio. The spinning Lariat is Haggar's trademark, but the SPD is Zangief's own. I guess since we couldn't have any o f the two mentioned russians, having Haggar use their moves is the next best thing, but not entirely.

That level 5 Hyper that Phoenix has is too powerful. All you can really do is activate your own hyper and hope it kills her. Also her Healing Sphere needs to be tweaked! Haggar looks like a more improve version of Zangief. Love his ultras.

@SinYue If you take a look at the Capcom/Marvel history...Most are either X-Men or Street Fighter.
MVC2 for example,13/28 are Street Fighters, from Capcom.and 17/28 are X-Men from Marvel side.
Playing it safe to me more like it.

Haggar walked the streets of Metro City (with his shirt off) and busted the skulls of hundreds upon hundreds of wannabe-thugs to save his daughter... if that doesn't scream "SUPER HERO" I don't know what does. Haggar absolutely deserves to be in this game, especially because Cody & Guy got their resurrection in SSF4!

@kaihedgie So i guess she's like Shin Akuma, overpowering offense, low stamina and defense, stil she reminds me of Gill with his"RESURRECTION" technique. I always hated that even though you could interrupt it but the guy was a pain to beat already. Only two characters revealed that's kinda lame considering the little time left for the game's release and i believe there are more characters left to be revealed don't you think?

@ProjectH1980 If you notice Jean's resurrection move has a time limit and I guess a full special bar (like lvl 4 or so) even if her life returns to full it still goes down quickly! So far I am happy with the addition of Haggar and Phoenix, plus I noticed teh Marvel side is lacking female characters!

I've given up on using grapplers in the past, but I've gotten fairly used to the whole 360 scheme...Haggar gives me even more reason to get used to them! I'll probably continue to suck but still...it's Haggar. It's worth the attempt. =P
I'm stoked about Phoenix too. All of the characters revealed so far have been awesome.
