I think this is superb for a student orchestra to even attempt. Bravo; and by the way rehearsals are for "getting out the bumps". This organist, given his age, is quite remarkable. Keep it up!
As usual, some people make comments when they don't know what they are talking about. If you read all of th info about the vid, you will rralise that this is a rehearsal.
And what is so wrong with the acoustics?
And go back to school. "they do don't them." What does that mean?
Incredible! I wish my school had an organ! One of our band directors studied organ in college, but our school doesn't even have a full grand piano, let alone an type of organ. In fact I'm often mocked in school for being an organist, luckily my close friends are all very supportive. I agree, however, that this is a hair too fast. Still it's fascinating to see highschool students performing this piece!
Unbelievable performance. The piece was not played to fast for the young Mr. Thain. Maybe a bit too fast for the orchestra to keep up with him. This guy is already amazing at his age. Keep it up Lawrence!! Bravo!!!!
Well darn - YouTube kept saying "comment not posted. Try again.
So, I did, three times :-(

This is absoluetly amazing considering the age of the performers. It's nice to see young people take serious music seriously.

The soloist? Superb. The orchestra? Needed a few hours more to prepare. The acoustics? Well, it's America; they do don't them.

Hi
It's Hampton, Middlesex, England. But it's a school hall built for assemblies - not a concert hall.

LOL,
This almost frightening how talented this young man is. This is a fiendishly difficult piece.
Bravo a thousand times

We can expect big things from this young organist - Lawrence Thain!
I just did a search for "Hampton School". I'm impressed! How many schools for 11 to 19 year old boys could put on a performance like this?
