  • sorry i don't feel the grunge feel in this. grunge has a more garbage feel. this feels too 70s-80s hair band feel.

  • @kargath101 Well... I would insist that if not grunge, than 90's genre this is definitely. I just feel it with my guts :D

  • @kargath101 the singer from this band was the guitar player in sleze, layne staleys hair band

  • Saw this band in 1992 opening for White Zombie -- no one knew anything about these guys, and even White Zombie hadn't 'hit' yet -- there were maybe 50 people in the crowd. These guys were absolutely awesome, but soon disappeared before anyone had a chance to get behind them. White Zombie were selling out big theaters just 6 months later. Fun times.

  • Nick Pollock played guitar in a glam metal band called Alice N' Chains, a percursor to Alice in Chains that also included Layne Staley on vocals.[4] The band recorded two demos and toured throughout the Seattle area for roughly one year before they broke up on friendly terms[1] in 1987.

  • grunge was awesome, these are the bands that should be around today still, not the whiney emo crap man, ppl sucks

  • oh HELL this IS good

  • this kicks ass

  • if they'd had the support they needed to grow into their sound i think these guys coulda been as big as AIC or Soundgarden. they definitely had the potential, if only they coulda "seasoned" a little. you can tell they hadn't quite "gelled." great band though! even unpolished they blow away most of this new garbage they're drowning us in now! thanks for posting!

  • Yes! why did I have to be born after the time of music like this

  • Alice in chains and My Sister's Machine members almost grew up together, they were really close, there is the why they sound so similar, but Alice in Chains got a bigger commercial success.

By the way the My sisters Machine is currently making an reunion.

  • @WarpxD

    its possible.

  • Terrible video, boring song, vocals :( I loved the 90s too, I grew up im em but there was a lot more shite than there was good. Thanx for posting an example.

  • @SMMRx

    I tend to agree...

I hadn't heard this band in many many many years, and I thought I remembered liking them.

    I was wrong.

    They sound completely boring.

Give me Gruntruck, over this, any day of the week.

  • @SMMRx thanx for telling us about how much you dislike this video it's really important in my life to know that someone cares... :P

  • @kingnuke No thank you for thanking me. Im glad i could add something to your life so important! PS do you write this after every single comment you see? Have a great day bud Oh BTW got any more vids to comment on!? >:P

  • it's metal or grunge not metal grunge that's sound so stupid

  • Sounds like 80 hair band from Mad Dogs at Northgate.

  • @WastedLifestyle Your dumb dude. They were grunge. Them Grunstruck, Alice in chains, and soundgarden all say they like to focus more on the Metal side than the grunge. Just bc they are from seattle, doesn't mean they are all going to be straight up grunge. get it right.

  • This video reminds me soo much of Sea of Sorrow by Alice in Chains...this is what i call brother bands!

  • @Aliceinchainhead and them bones also

  • @Aliceinchainhead Literally. MSM's singer was in a glam band with Layne Stayley called Alice N' Chains ( Not the same Alice in Chains.)

  • this song fuckingggggggggggggggggggggggg rocks...................

  • @heveruop - your a douchebag. Take note, no one cares if you like it or not.

To everyone else, Nick Pollock (singer) has a new project called Tanks of Zen and they are kick ass. My Sister's Machine will be playing Layne's Tribute this year as well. Tickets to that show are still available.

  • My fave... love this song.....

  • The vocals are not quite grungy but I really like this band anyways (:

  • hey why dosent itunes or amazon carry this band?I guess they dont know good music.

  • the singer was one of the best friend of Layne Staley from Alice in chains , the band is reuniting this year for the " Layne Staley annual tribute benefit " in Seattle .

  • Where can i download MSM songs???

  • awesome we need more bands like that!!

  • I was looking for Jerry Cantrell and found this crap. IT sucks!

  • @heveruop

    ur an idiot

  • Pure and raw grunge!!!!!

  • CMON PEOPLE listen to more t-pain lol jk

i like this song alot, and fuck rap (exept big nugget the wiseman just becuase he has a cheesy ass name)

  • Love this band. Shame they couldn't stay together longer. Do check out Tanks of Zen.

Oh, and if Nick Pollock reads this: My Sister's Machine reunion!?!?! Pretty Please!

  • @atman5150 Reunion closer than you think.

  • I see there is a big debate about if this is metal or grunge, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but grunge is metal.

Cause guess what, even poison, Bon Jovi, Guns n' Roses, all those bands from that era are considered metal.

Horrible, fruity metal, but unfortunately metal non the less.

Grunge is just one of the various forms of metal.

  • Sounds like Paradise Lost Forever Failure album

  • @Domii79

    not even slightly

  • Nick of MSM just done vocals on Sundance Crow's new EP Silvertongue, it's free to download on their website! sundancecrow . co m

  • Nick is in a new band called TANKS OF ZEN. Still kickin' ass. Awesome man.

  • And he says they are planning to track a record in February. I'm definitely looking forward to that. Somebody posted their music video for a song called Through the Red Lie. Good stuff, man.

  • Before lead singer Nick Pollock formed My Sister's Machine, he was in another band called Alice N' Chainz, which was of course a percursor for the phenomenally succesful Alice in Chains.

    Alice N' Chainz consisted of:

    Layne Staley - vocals

    Nick Pollock - guitar

    Yanni "Johnny" Bacolas - bass

    James Bergstrom - drums

  • what year was that?

  • According to most sources I've read, the year was 1986-1987.

  • "Diva" is far away better than "Wallflower"

  • I loveeeeeeee'em

  • Thta riff is so much like AiC riffs in Facelift

  • Comment removed

  • Good reason, if I'm not mistaken, a couple of those dudes were in a very early lineup of AIC. I worked at a Rock station years ago when this came out and I think that was one of their marketing points; not 100% though. Anyway, great album, thanks for posting soulshit!

  • you do realize that the lead singer was the first singer in AIC, and wrote some of the first AIC songs, though not credited.

  • He wasn't the singer, he was their guitarist. And the band was called Alice N' Chainz back then.

  • awesome dude!! thanx!!

  • this was never a grunge band!!!

  • If megadeth were grunge

  • v There's no rule saying it can't be metal and grunge. AiC, Soundgarden and Gruntruck were

  • agreed

  • Their MySpace says they're both. It says they sound like AIC and Megadeth.

I fuckin' love AIC, Megadeth and this band by the way XD

  • yeah. that's it. correct info. lol

  • That riff is the equivalent of sex.

  • this isn't metal what is the description saying its grunge/Seattle scene

  • I saw them back in spring of 1992...they rocked!

  • someone knows where i can download their songs?I bless you

  • You can download in mininova man

  • Great memories of the headbangers ball with ricki rachtman

  • Oh my god!!! These guys rock! I wonder what happenned to them. I have their albums but never heard back from them. Monster riffs, cool lyrics, violent drums; what else can you ask for???

  • MY SISTER'S MACHINE ROCK'S

  • Man, l haven't heard these guys in a long time, and l have both their albums!! Diva was the better of the two IMO.

  • ...i'm gonna go listen to the tea party now.

  • years ago since i heard this song for the first and the last time.

    Thx for uploading.

  • At the beginning he sounds like the dude from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But despite that it's a freeking ace song!

  • Haha, this is awesome!

  • walflower is my faverite album of all time!

  • My Sister's Machine ,is a great rock band...

    Have Diva...

  • holy shit!

I thought this was sister machine gun, now my ears are bleeding

    ftw???

  • I hear ya... OMG, they need to change their name to "GAY REDNECK MULLET ROCK" not anything even RESEMBLING sister machine gun... UGH.

  • MSM was one of the Seattle bands that was WAY more metal than anything else.

  • I'm sorry dude, but this really ain't metal.

  • I agree, THIS song isnt metal at all. Listen to some of their other stuff. It is more metal than grunge.

  • love my sisters machine! just got this CD off ebay! WOOOOOO!!!

  • this is the shit !

    my sister machine rules

    <!!

  • this singer was the original singer for AIC, they were all house mates in WA.

  • really he was the original singer from the chains???? did they record anystuff with him singin?

  • he was the original guitarist in alice in chains, before Jerry, Mike and Sean arrived and yeah there are some demoes with him on guitar.

  • where the hell can u get their cd i cant find it anywhere???

  • this is grunge! but it has influences from metal

  • No its not grunge ,you nut head..

  • I just ran into Owen Wright minutes ago. He and I grew up together from Elementary school thru highscool. He is still as tall and gravely as ever. Good guy. Owen let's go have a pizza and soda brother !

  • whats he up to now a days? probably has a family and job??

  • no u didnt douchebag.were all brothers in seattle,ay jokers!!!1

  • wtf are u talking about?? and why the hell would u reply to me asshole. looked like u were alking to the other guy. either way, you're a dick

  • sucker mutha fucker. dnt u guys listen to rap in seattle??

  • noooooooooo

  • Ghode!

  • I have wallflower. I think im gonna buy Diva, i heard its better.

  • chris, the bass player was my former neighbor, they almost made it big

  • they are fuckin great..i want them back right now !

  • i got 2 albuns and a live dynamo :)

  • this band is the fucking shit! i can't believe nobody picked up on them...they should be right there with AIC and Soundgarden.

  • @boothole312 The only reason they aren't more popular is because Alice in Chains does the same kind of thing these guys do, and they do it much better. I will say that this is some great music, but even great music doesn't always get a chance to shine.

  • @MarshallRoberts they were actually being courted by major labels before diva, but they signed with caroline records instead. if they had signed with a major label i have a feeling they would be much more successful

  • @boothole312 Maybe on the same level as the Screaming Trees or other less-well-known grunge bands of the time, but I don't think they'd be one of the ones remembered to this day. Shit, some people I know don't even know what grunge is, and the only grunge band they know is Nirvana. It's really sad.

  • @boothole312 ..I wouldn't go that far... those artists had sustained careers with album after album of fantastic music. This band had 2 albums... this one fantanstic, the other, in my opinion, mediocre.

  • Man this band rules. Just looked 'em up and from what I can see on Youtube it's not just this song thats amazing. I tried to find somewhere where I can download their songs or buy their CD's but couldn't find them anywhere. Anyone got any ideas where I can get their songs from? Or if you have them yourself?

  • I got DIRT CHEAP copies of both albums on Amazon.

  • o man cheers.

i had a look n theres a load of used copies and stuff, really cheap. i live in england so some of the stuff is different, but still, only a couple o pounds.

    cheers.

  • I loved this band. I was just thinking about them, and decided to search for them here. Thanks so much for posting this. It's awesome to see this again!

  • great video

  • Najlepsza piosenka jaką ostatnio słyszałem

  • Well, cool song I guess only its so peacefull, I guess this is what they all call "Grunge" and "Groovy Metal".

  • hell yeah ive been looking for some machine for along time now thanks this video rocks this album rocks shit!! al there albums rocked
