if you check my channel...you will see that i am a lighting freak and i own several thousand dollars in american dj lights. after saying that...when this thing came out i promised myself to buy one....the ONLY problem is....nobody i know has bought one...and now that i see all the comments i think the price is ridiculous....and it doesn't do much. i rather get one more vizi to my collection or 2 more megapixels. if this thing was cheaper youll see more videos of it in youtube.

I''ve seen this demo and I guess evey one is expecting to have a similar effect to the asro disco 3 BUT the astro disco had 3 motors -so so you could spin the light completely on all variations of horizontal spim verical - But as the demo shows this wont wii only swig on one axis , it will rotate on another 0hence pity they let us down--they need tried to escape the wiring that made te asto disco so good -give us a shout if any one buys it tube it and lets se what it can do in white beams ok

Can you buy any lights that run from re-chargeable batteries? Have a big in-built battery that you can just charge up. Most of my gigs are on average 5-6 hours long.
There is a specific reason I have never bought anything from ADJ - from the gear I have seen and used from them it tends to be cheaply made and a pain to use. I work in a professional theatre now, but have never once bought a piece of kit from them.
This is NOT a real UFO. A real UFO rotates continously on all axis. This one does not, its simply a moving head with a saucer attachment.
You guys aught to seriously think about discontinuing this and putting out a REAL DMX UFO. A real UFO doesn't need xmas tree style LEDs either. It should just have a powerfull high color temp white LED with very smooth dimming and thats it! Of course as stated above, each of the 3 motors needs to rotate continuously! Thats the mark of a good UFO light.

If you remember Lyrequest..That was Gemini trying to get into the light business..The Alien was a UFO light similar to this using a big ol 500w halogen bulb (ouch)..But it still works and looks good. Also Meteor has and still does make the old fashioned UFO light you cna control with a joystick which is always fun.

I bought a crummy ADJ version called the Mini-Saucer. It only had 2 axis and a frikken single circut. I modded the hell out of it though, White lenses, two circuts, and an inline dimmer for the bulb before the motor. Its nice but I hunger for a REAL UFO like the Meteor UFO-12.
Odyssey did a similar style lighting back in the day... Its was called Gator Head Head. It was a Cool looking light. But Accu UFO looks better & perform better....

No. That's a stupid idea anyway. Put in your mobiel contract to require at least 2 15 amp circuits. 1 for lighting, 1 for audio/video.

No it would not be practical to run a light show on batteries buy a light controller and run all lights on a seperate circuit from your DJ equipment
