ok that's a much better question. the talking comes out of the wii speak device, not your tv speakers (it acts as a microphone and a speaker).

as for the messaging, if you can access things midgame instead of having to go to the wii menu, which is a real choppy way of talking, not to mention how it takes 15 minutes to send

Personally, I doubt it because during the development of those games, Nintendo was still looking into how they would do voice chat for the Wii, so I doubt the code for the Wii Speak functionality is already in those games.
