@bobthenormal You seem to forget that they're all just people. You can't say "the Egyptian police are not firing their guns" because some of them are. They aren't a monolithic entity. This policeman/soldier decided to fire his gun. He's probably never going to have to answer for it because that's how things work in Egypt. It's not a strictly structured organization like a police force you'd find in a more developed country.

I was in Egypt over the summer and I met a lot of Europeans who would relentlessly trash the United States, blaming it for pretty much every problem for the last 100 years. The first reason is: if, in fact, they achieve everything the want (a parliamentary democracy) and they vote for them to occupy some seats in the house, then that is t...heir choice. We can't just accept what we're being told in our media. We can be told any long list of "internet facts" about the Muslim Brotherhood and we will accept it, because we have been conditioned to accept it.
