  • quick question... I understand that earlier 1uz motors had better rods than the later 1uz's, is this true? Is it also true for the pistons or were the same ones used? I'm hearing that the 1uz's stock bottom end can handle a ton of power?? I have a 2uzfe from a tundra that I'm cleaning up but the rods are toothpicks. I'll finish with the 2uz and sell it for what I can get and grab a 1uz quick since their so damn cheap. Cams, full port, and a tune and we'll see....

  • @funguy7979 The earlier 1uz has thicker forged rods and a thicker crank plus 6 bolts for each of the main bearing caps and I believe forged pistons too. The bottom end of these engines can take awesome power.

  • @funguy7979 3uz had big rods, as well as the 1urfe, and 3urfe. not sure about the 2urfe, but it is the most powerful standard of the 3... as much as i love the 1uz'd i would opt for a 1ur or 3ur for pure strength and good starting off power.

  • @Devilashe thanks

  • Finally got my hands on a 2uzfe motor and now i'm looking for a MK4 supra to drop it into. I live in Miami,FL so if anyone knows anyone that's selling one please let me know. I wouldn't mind doing this swap with manual transmission into a lexus SC but would much rather prefer a MK4 Supra. Thanks!

  • great swap, lovely bodykit, and tell everyone that HKS has the world fastest drag supra with a 1UZ if they dont mind searching youtube for it its a black basturd and the uploader is franckjohnson

  • lovely car mate one observation though does the radiator top hose not get hot being that close to the turbo downpipe?

  • @s13sileighty240 inline 6's are balanced but no engine is perfectly balanced especially from factory. A v8 will have more vibration naturally but Yamaha had their hand in these just as much as the 1jz and 2jz.

  • The 1UZ will NOT make more power than a 2JZ built or not. 2JZ can handle 1000whp on stock internals. I've seen plenty of 1uz's let go at 400-450whp. I think even the 1jz can handle 600whp no problem. Record for 2JZ is 2100chp, record for 1uz is just over 1000whp. Big difference. And the 1uz is not more reliable than a jz EVER do some damn research I own all three engines. I do love the 1uz, there's not many v8's that are better.

  • @Supra2jtarga Jea 2jz can handle 1000hp on stock internals probably ,but don´t think it to be the smartest way what comes to endurance of engine.

  • twin or singgle turbo ??

  • dude a lot of people think swapping a 1uzfe in a supra is dumb but you've obviously proved to them what its capable of. i saw your other videos 500hp on stock internals? that's insane, i have an ls400 but i can't seem to get my egr delete right? i bought the kit but my engine light is still on any tips on that? help would be greatly appreciated.

  • lov the paint

  • Wow, awesome engine, awesome paint, awesome body kit and wheels, NICE DAMN CAR!

  • @SaucyTuRkLeBiRd Thank you

  • @SaucyTuRkLeBiRd Thank you

  • @suprafearless meant every word :)

  • Very stupid. Why swap when the 2j can make bigger power????

  • @macario111 Because the 1UZ can make even bigger power! this is 560BHP and totally stock internals, with a little bit of work to lower the compresion this will make 1000BHP You need to do a LOT of work to get 1000BHP from a 2JZ. I am not dissing the 2jz it is a great powerhouse but the 1UZFE is bigger and stronger, it sits further back in the engine bay so handling is better, it has an aluminium block so is lighter and it is a V8 so sound Awesome and runs really smooth (much less vibration)

  • @suprafearless Nice Supra man, I love both of those motors but you are right, not to mention the 1UZ can make big power more reliably. I already have a 1UZ engine but no car. Planning on swapping into a Cressida or back into a Sc400... anyway where can I find lower compression pistons, better rods and camshafts for the 1UZ? I know there's sites like Lextreme.com but I don't know them or their reputations. I've already learned a hard lesson from sketchy sites and don't wanna go though that again.

  • @suprafearless inline 6's have absolutely no vibration whatsoever....that motor actually vibrates more. straight 6's are perfectly balanced motors thank you very much

  • @suprafearless hell yes. and even 2000bhp is possible with less work

  • @macario111 Maybe he likes the sound of a v8? Don't hate dude.

  • do you want to sell it ?

  • Why does it take a while to start up? Not criticizing, just curious.

  • @liamvg Are you using a different ignition?

  • @liamvg

It has a syvecs ECU that will not let the engine run unless it sees oil presure, this feature has saved many engines.

It has however been reprogrammed since then to disable the oil pressure check while cranking so it does now start normally.

  • how much power are you getting now????

  • @funguy7979 Funny you should say that, as you know it's only on a base map at present but it is going to be mapped on the dyno tomorrow so I will post up a video of the dyno results tomorrow :)

  • power??

  • where did you get the adapter plate for the tranny from?

  • @funguy7979 Got it from Eric at TT performance

  • @suprafearless what's that website again???

  • @suprafearless ,please what is the web site for the adapter?

  • @thevictorc20 It won't let me type the website address here so search ttcperformanceproducts

  • Man, I wish I had this setup in my LS lol.

  • nice.

  • nice whip man!

  • @budtheshecc I am using the 6 speed v160 getrag box

  • nice.../are u using a r154 trans?

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK IT SOUNDS MAD WHEN YOU REV IT.

  • What did you do to the paint??

  • @EclipseIsMyName Hi It is TVR Nebula Black paint

  • @EclipseIsMyName

it looks like My Little Pony Sprinkles Black.

  • why 1 uzfe? what's wrong with 2jz

  • @xraycat3000 Nothing wrong with 2jz it's a grreat engine but the 1uz is 100kg lighter, sits further back in the engine bay so virtually all the weight of engine is behind the front axle plus there's an extra 1000cc of power available before you start to add boost.

And just look how well it sits in there :)

  • @suprafearless plus its has more displacment which adds more oomph to it !

where did you have the engine work done in other words who did the swap for you?!

  • @PD19954 Oh yes we like ore oomph :)

Did all the swap myself, a mate did the custom manifold/exhaust work

  • @suprafearless ah from australia eh? or new zeland?

custom manifold/exhaust work, does he do it for the public? id love his info.

  • @PD19954 No I'm from the UK,

  • @suprafearless ah

so does he do it for the public? finding a reliable person to do it here in the US is nil

  • @PD19954 Sure he would but you would have to cover his air fare from the UK

  • @suprafearless hey no problem, its hard to find folks who can do this here in the US.

what was the cost to do the swap and manifold?

also please do pm me his contact info if you can.

    cheers

    p

  • Man I was watching this like damn that engine is sick, then u panned around and I saw the tail light like SHIT it's a MK4 (I was spacing out thinking about ur intercooler piping,) then I was like it just rained cuz the drips on the paint when I realized it was flakes, then u panned sideways to the ground effects and I shit myself while subscribing!

  • @tienshenhan86 Thanks that made my day :)

  • nice work, how much power & boost? :o)

  • @cbamode It's running at 1.2 bar now. Not had it on the dyno yet but will be around 600 RWHP at that boost. I'm planning on taking it to 1.4 bar on stock internals

  • :) one of the best for sure

  • @rizzletea Thanks, still very much a work in progress but getting there

  • love this car

    nice job
