Malonz100, I'm so glad you like it, we had a fabulous time! I have not heard many good things at all about Carnival so we only go with Disney and Norwegian. I've heard the Carnival ships are dirty, staff is complacent and not at all organized with activities, etc. With the recent ship crashing in to the rock at Italy, I'm not sure my husband will be in a hurry to go on any cruise on any ship at all in the near future. Looks like a "road trip" summer coming up!!
I really like your video. Just got off of the Carnival Elation out of N.O.-was not impressed at all. This was my 4th cruise with Carnival and will probably be my last. They send the older crappy ships to sail out of N.O. it seems. So I'm researching Norwegian and Royal Carribean now.
i LOVE sailing out of New Orleans (embarked out of that port 3 out of the 5 cruises i've been on), but this year we're leaving out of Miami on the Norwegian Epic. the Spirit's fantastic, sailed on her twice. we've been lucky enough to run into Mardi Gras when we've embarked down there (not to mention the fact that the Saints won the Super Bowl the last time i was on the Spirit in 2010, that was fun) and it was one big party. EVERYONE was in a fantastic mood.
@sfjohn5 Try the Disney cruise if you get a chance. We took one out of Port Canaveral (sp?) Florida! It was even better than NCL. I have not been on Carnival, how did you like them?

Thanks for the video! My fiancee and I will be on Spirit for our honeymoon in May and we will also be in a balcony stateroom? How was the room? Which category was it (BD, BC, BA)?
@ldm61111 I believe we had BA. Our stateroom # was 11500. LOVED it! Very roomy, balcony had two chairs and a small table, plenty of room for the two of us. I will NEVER cruise without a balcony ever again. The SPIRIT spoiled me! The shows in the theater were GREAT. I just can not say enough good things about our experience. We normally do the Disney Cruise Line, but I am now hooked on the "freestyle" of the NCL.
