There are a lot of Australians who have become very depressed about the way JWH has dirtied this great nation.
My vid and comments are my opinion. I don't expect all to agree.
I also feel that insulting people in comments is not very useful and just confirms the lack of respect I mentioned above.

This government seems to think as long as we all have plenty of money that will solve all our country's problems. They do not have the mental or ideological capacity to look beyond that.
When the leaders of the country are outright repeat liars what example does that give to the rest of the country especially the young? Lying becomes the norm: look out for yourself only and forget your neighbour. Forget about respect for others.

Your original question is fair enough.
To me the "spiritual" side of our lives involves ideas like COMPASSION for others ( not displayed with David Hicks, SIEV X, Haneef, Children overboard, asylum seekers),
TRUTH ( totally disregarded in the Iraq war, AWB affair), HONOUR ( not trying to frighten the country with all the terror panic, not crawling to GW Bush and the USA ).

thats so typical of a youtube comment u have ur little whinge throw in some insults but u still dont explain how he has smothered the spiritual life of this country. its a legitamate question im not being smart arse i just dont see how there connected. it was the previous labor govt that introduced multiculturalism which was argueably the prime instigator for our loss of national identity.

Pantsonfire - what I found most disturbing about this is your comment that Howard "has smothered the spiritual life of this nation". It is so true. Australia needs a leader and a govt that can restore trust, honour and an ethical/moral code that we can be proud of as a community. We need spirtual healing and the nation's reputation restored.

why don't you grow up, learn how to spell and learn how to READ the news. Watching Nine News, ACA and 60 Minutes is not going to give you a great insight into what Howard has done over the last decade. If you don't understand how John Howard has smothered the spitual life of the nation - maybe try getting an education (although HECS fees do cost a fair bit).
