pro-circuits yearly racing cost nearly tripped when they switched to 4-strokes. it costs honda $1.48 to make an intake valve for a 250r that you pay $89 for.

there is not a 4stroke 250 on this planet faster than my 03 rm 250. i raced an 08 250r with $2300 in mods and it couldn't stay with me past 2nd gear.

Trying to make them lighter all the time I've noticed that over the years you get less for your money as far as build goes, if you have a crash theres nothing left. I know someone that has one of these and he says that even the plastics are thiner and now stones fflick up from the tyres and crack and pit/go through the fenders

your looking at maybe a pound which is made up for if not heavier with all the efi equipment on it. i had a crf250r for all of a week and rode it hard and had nothing but problems with the unicam design because i had to pull the cam and shim and adjust the valves every other ride. i sold that piece of crap for a brand new yz250f and never even had to touch the engine. all i did was a spark plug and oil changes. most reliable bike iv ever owned.

My best friend has a 250f yamaha and he's rebuilt it twice, no two bikes are the same. I also had a 09 wr250x fuel injected yamaha and loved it, i wasn't disrespecting twin cams or Yamaha's, just pointing out the difference. But i would never ride Kawi's.
