I'm wondering what pickups are on your guitar? You sound and play very well. I just bought an 02 RG570. It has a V7 in the neck and V1 bridge. I like the V7, but the V1 sounds really thin and weak on mine.
this guitar have the edge floyd?? or the lo pro?? beacuse im comfused about the rg 570 s i dont know if are different models with diferent floyds by the way nice playing!!!!
@aintnaive It's got an edge trem. It's an awesome guitar. I'm not sure if they changed the trem for different years. The best place to ask that question would be on the Jemsite forum. There are lots of experts there that can answer that for sure. BTW, thanks for watching and commenting.
@aintnaive the 570s have the Edge and are probably the last great affordable guitars Ibanez made (in my opinion). The '90s 550s & 570s were probably the baddest ass guitars out there for the money (@$500) now all Ibanez sells in that range are junk (in my opinion), I'm an Ibanez guy (own '95 570, Jem Jr, and Jem 7VSBL) but I cant stand what they offer in mid-range price. I hate to say it but ESP makes a better quality affordable guitar.
is the line 6 verb zilla a really good reverb pedal? i got a digitech digiverb at the mo and when i turn it on my tone has a little less prescence, whats the verbzilla like?
just a quick question... what are your settings on the amp as far as eq,presene and gain/drive and such. you have such a nice gain sound. creamy and overdriven but not too much. great song.
Thanks for the comment! The JSX is an awesome amp. It's been a few years since I recorded this video but my settings are generally like this: Presence-10, Resonance-7, Treble-8 to 9, Mid-6, Bass-6 to 7, Gain-7 to 8. I've stopped using the MXR Eq since this was made but I usually kept a "scooped" setting on the 6 bands but dropped the bass freq almost off. I hope this helps!
nice cover dude ;) I have a question..since I´v never used those lightsake USB.. can I plug it directly to the pc and run amplitube or guitar rig and still have the same sound? I mean, does the Usb play the guitar adapter role? if you get me, thanx in advance
The funny thing about the 570 is. They really are great guitars, and you can find them all the time for $300 on ebay. It's the best $300 guitar ever. :) I've had several. Although I'm don't really use the trem anymore. And I've settled into my LP Classic as my main guitar.
I've had a couple JSX's too. And the crunch channel makes a better lead channel than the lead channel. Currently playing Marshall JVM205H. Check out the Lexicon Alpha. 24bit recording for about $100 Great playing BTW.
Agreed 100% I bought mine in pieces and had to find a replacement neck for it....never played one before and I haven't put it down for the past few years! Yeah, I have found very little use for the lead channel on the JSX, the crunch channel is the way to go! Thanks for the advice on the Lexicon and for the comments!
Probably the worst ever....Windows Movie Maker. I record straight into the Logitech webcam software first then import the video file and mp3 track into Movie Maker then mix, edit, publish, etc.
i will but i dont know how long that will take lol if it takes a year that might be a long time to respond. but i will let you know i am sure i will love it and when i get good i will put it up on youtube
i was at another store with a standard rg570 able to make it sound like mine with a normal amp just took a lot of tuning. so while there natural sound is a bit different . there very versitile and in the end not much different. though overall you really remind me of paul gilbert and i love your sound your incredible. he is my favorite.
i thought most ibanez's were to deep for me until they got to the signature series. but the older rg570's and other japanies models seem to reach the highs i like to but have a lot more natural reverb. and i love them to sounds like paul gilberts gutairs. especially him in racer x. mine sounds closer to steve vai jems and a little of joe satriani naturally but with a good effect and amp it sounds like yours too.
hey i learned mine is actually a special rg570cttb version with alder wood base. so brighter sounds. yours is gold what year is yours? is yours ct also? if its 94 or 95 it is. you can tell by look at the back of the head stock and what ever number comes after the f is your year it stands for the last digit of the year for all guitars made before 97
Oh cool, yours is much more rare than mine. Mine is actually green but the webcam didn't do it justice. Its called "Green Apple Sparkle" and was produced in either 1999 or 2000 I believe, but I had to replace the neck but I found a perfect match with the original bubinga stripe.
i just bought this guitar for a sick deal i found. i have never played the guitar but new i wanted to and went search for a good one this is what i picked mine also has gold boarding around the pickups with the same gold back like yours and has dimarzio pickups. is this really a great guitar will it do me good from beggineer to advanced. i got it for 400 did i do good?
Yes, it sounds like you did really good on that deal. They are amazing guitars and quite under valued if you ask me. They easily compete with the newer "Prestige" models that Ibanez is currently making.
This was just awesome to listen to. Great tone especially. Sweet Ibanez. I always wanted a JSX myself. Your use of melody over useless note rambling is just refreshing to hear. Great tune and well played. Much continued success. 10 stars.
I would start with the Eq because it will help you "shape" your sound. The compressor is a take-or-leave pedal depending on your tastes, so I would go with the Reverb pedal after the Eq. I bought the backing tracks on a cd from Guitar Center simply called "Practice Tracks". I haven't seen them lately at GC but you can order it from Amazon. There is a whole series for different genres. I used the "rock" version on this video.
I had to go this route because my JSX half stack does not have a line-out or direct-out for recording...therefore you have to put a mic in front of it to capture it's true sound.
I suppose if you want to go strictly digital than perhaps it might...but I've never used amplitube so I can't make an honest comparison. It would be hard for me personally to justify doing that since my amp is KILLER and I want to capture it's OWN sound, not a modeled sound. Make sense?
Im really not sure how to record straight out of the amp, but I know you don't go through usb, you go through your soundcard. You will have to look into it more, im not entirely sure how it works.
Thanks :) RG570's are awesome! They have the thinnest, fastest neck I've ever played. I also like the stock pickups too...they are very versatile. I hope you find one that you like too.
Is that a Jim Harbaugh jersey?... Classic!!! It's nice to hear a video with good audio quality for once. Nice playin' man and a nice tone to go with it.
Yeah, it's my old Jim Harbaugh "Captain Comeback" jersey!!!! Thanks for the compliments. All it really takes is a good mic to get a decent recording. I use an Audix i5 through a usb Lightsnake line to the pc. Simple and effective.
Awsome i have that guitar also and its great you can get great pinch harmonics on it and amazing tone range... with crazy whammy :) i love it haha mines a rwed finish tho :P its well sexy keep playing man you rock :)
Man...GREAT tone bro. I see that putting the Delay and EQ in the loop paid off for you. I can see your loving the amp, and I am constantly amazed with mine. Its the most flexible amp I have ever played..and the tone...speaks for itself. Great vibe bro ! Rodney
Hi Rodney! Thanks for watching my latest videos and commenting :) . Yes, I took your advice very strongly and have begun using the loop more effectively. This amp kills 'em all! Thanks for dropping by!
simple, efficace, son très bon (jsx inside), ça change de ceux qui essayent de jouer 50 notes à la seconde sans avoir compris que le feeling et l'emotion sont plus important que n'importe quelle technique!
i have a question its dimarzio pick ups in the guitar?

@stringontheroad No, they are totally stock pickups. V7, V8, and S1. Thanks for asking.

@CoffeeDrinker71 The mxr 6 band eq is noisy?
remotecontrol1324 2 years ago
It can be. After I moved it to the loop it became much better...but still evident, however I never use a noise gate so that might help.

@CoffeeDrinker71 Thank you for replying
I will go for thing else because right now I don't have a loop nether money to buy a proper noise gate.
