@BionicDance See I think Enterprise came into its own with the Xindi season. They stopped trying to emulate the earlier crews which had been in this utopia for generations. They were kind of like our parents growing up with parents and grand parents that had seen and done horrible things. I think if they had gone with that formula and stopped moving it around it may have gone the full 7 seasons. I REALLY wanted to see the war with the Romulan's they talked about in Balance of Terror.

The reason there is only one intelligent species on the planet is this: We'd kill them or they'd kill us. Many believe Cro-Magnons killed Neandertals. The physical laws don't exist in the same way the sandwish just ate used to. The laws describe behavior and relationships. 2+2=4 only because that is the relatinship between what ever we are counting. Does 2 exist on its own? No, only as a concept in the human mind describing something. Thats why its so hard to get kids over the "counting on your fingers" to "find x" hump. Thave have to learn to think of numbers as abstracts. Who would have thought that Venom was an aristotelian.

I think you'll find it very interesting and you can use it to give you more evidence when you're making a case for subjective morality.

Actually, I agree with much of Venom's interpretation on Atheism. Why do we reject the idea of God? Because it contradicts objective reality and the natural laws that govern it, most especially the Christian god. Also, miracles contradicting said laws are ipso facto an impossibility, so we naturally infer the ignorance of those who believe in miracles.
