  • Danke, danke und nochmals danke. Ein musikalischer Hochgenuss!

  • This is such an emotional song, it took me a while to understand all the French but I loved listening to it immediately! Bonjour tristesse! Kate is sadly missed...

  • Thanks

  • Partir, c'est mourir un peu. :(

  • life is short. live it up. thanks for the music.

  • Cette chanson est triste à mourir

  • Gorgeous. RIP Kate.

  • Je suis bouleversé par le départ de Kate! Sa musique me berce encore! Merci Kate et bon voyage!

  • This is a sad morning indeed. Goodbye Kate.

  • Au revoir chère Kate. Merci pour toute la musique partagée au fil des années,,,

  • Rest in Peace, Dear Kate.

  • The Irish in their heritage is detected in the Celtic slant to their music

  • Yes, they are French Canadian, and Kate died at her home in Montreal yesterday....very sad and a great loss

  • RIP Kate d'un québécois

  • ces sisters sont trop"choupette", dommage qu'elle ne chante pas plus en français...je n'ai trouvé que 1 cd en français...mais c'est top quand même..

  • Well, I didn't understand a word of that because I'm not French, but holy crap, they can sing.

  • This song breaks my heart - beautiful.

    Merci beaucoup limeyloop.

  • Beautiful ! Lyrics ? French and English

  • so moving

  • Absolument remarquable !

Does the McGarrigle sister wrote this beautifull song? Are they french Canadian, actually?

  • They're part French Canadian, part Irish Canadian

  • consummate artists, not for large venues, small intimate relaxed atmosphere suits them best. probably not best for their income, but for the customer, smaller venues are best for most jazz, poetry ,chamber music and other small scale stuff, just buy the albums and then play them at home....williet

  • Actually, it is definitely Kate McGarrigle at the piano singing. Without a doubt.

  • I don't know if anyone noticed that it is JANE McGarrigle at the piano. Early in their career, all three sisters would often performed together.

  • Heartbreaking

  • I think this show happened very soon after I married my (older) husband in 2001. I did not know who the McGarrigles were at the time and did not take him up on the date offer. I have kicked myself several times a year ever since...wow.

  • cool !

  • No , it is merely one song from the setlist. I do not know where the other videos from this concert might be. I would love to see more from this or any other live McGarrigle performance.

  • thanks limeyloop. i have several tv spots over the years thankfully, and a pirate i taped, but have to buy some computer video software i guess and learn how to post.

  • cool !

  • Hi, thanks for posting. they are amongst my favorite songwriters and have been fortunate to see them live several times. Was this the only song on this show?

  • Great and thanks!!!!!
