You really need to read the instruction manual that comes with it. When I got it, it confused me as well, but after you read it while trying out what you're reading, you'll start to get the hang of it. Just takes some practice.

as an italian i can tell that italian trains stupidly sucks, the pubblic system is simply akward.

japanese trains and buses are fabolous(i've in japan for 2 months and i know well how they work).
