It amazes me how younger kids -and this is coming from a 17 year old mind you- just refuse to appreciate the classics since they've been brainwashed by Disney Channel. Ah well. Betty Hutton is a true classic and I love her to bits. Her songs seem to tell a story every time whether it's intentional or not. Her personality shines through each time too. Just discovered that a new book on Betty has just come out,

called , appropriately, "Rocking Horse" (by Gene Arceri, and published by Bear Manor)). It's based on her taped interviews with the author, ....and reading through the delightful (and often heartbreaking) chapters, one can almost hear Betty's own voice telling her story.

Any Hutton fan will love this compact and telling inside look

of highlights in her career.
