I just got this game and am wondering, how do you play in season mode without any of the games being simulated? I never went through "road to the show" and just started a season from scratch but it seems to want to simulate the first game and not let me control even though I don't click on "simulate game". In other words you have to be a great player.

Mostly its if you complete your current goals and have high statictics

You also have to be patient it usually takes at least 2-4 years for you to get to the Big Leagues

Being called up isn't always best. Kepp your stats up and acheieve every goal every other time. Be called up by age 20 or 21 when you actually can do well. The game takes everything into account. GL enjoy the show.

The easiest way is to just try to get every goal in the adv goals and after you finished raising your stats for that goal period, use the extra points to raise everything else to boost your overall stats. Hope this helps. :)
