  • I had many kh250's when I was young and they were a big bike in a small body. Fantastic motorcycle, shame they only build crap these days.

  • That sounded sweet pulling away, My mate Tim Beck had one in 1979 same colour had it on the road for about 4 months then fell off and smashed it, Three years later Tim and another mate Nigel on a Kawk Z1000 clipped a car on a corner and both lost their lives, a crap year in 1982 in this area for bikers. never put us off bikes thou.

  • watanabehifumi, i love your attempts at english and your many many videos of amazing historical small capacity bikes. keep it up :-)

  • A B5 model, last ever made...

  • Dont think this is an S1, I recall teh S1 was the "samuri" and had a nicer tail piece. 93 was pretty much it! I hadan RD250 (RD1) that did 105mph in 4th, but was slower in top. The YZ7 250 was also fun but a gas guzzler.

  • @feet57 You're way off. This is a KH250. The S1 was an earlier version of the KH250. S1=1971-1975, KH250=1976-1980. The samurai (not samuri) was a twin cylinder 250cc with a rotary valve engine. Last year of production was 1971. It didn't have a tail piece either. Just a grab bar behind the seat.

  • sensational old school bike..

  • i had a 1978 model £630 quid new +£120 FOR Alloy wheels exchange!

did 93 mph - changed sprockets and 97 mph flat out. MAGIC!

  • I could never get more than 93 out of my s1 with twin leading front drum.

89 with allspeeds, 93 with standards.

Which is why i bought an RD.

  • @feet57

    jesus....would not wanna do 97 on a kh250....
