  • this is strangely nice to listen too.

  • for some reason this song reminds me of zelda

  • reminds me of old filipino movies.

  • Best song on the album.

  • an elephant stuck in an escalator

  • i wish this was longer...its so magical to my ears

  • can someone please help me find the longer version of this song? or is it only 57 seconds/:

  • Reminds me of Mario 64

  • @tmos7 Man, I've been saying that for years and NOBODY ELSE HEARS IT

    Thank you!

  • @fieldsr haha yah I love it

  • @tmos7 Totally.!!!

  • To be honest I dont like my bloody valentine. Its too messy. If they were a bit clearer i would probably like them. But this sounds like Chewie is dying. XD

  • @DeathToNeonCasket Yeah, I know what you mean. Shoegaze would b lot better if you could distinguish vocals from the music and understand what they are actually saying, but I still dig this song and MBV, I just don't think it's as good of an album as the dude with the top comment talking about Nevermind, but to each his own.

  • @righteousrat that's kind of one of the distinguishing features of Shoegaze, the voice is just another element an instrument, no more important that any other... otherwise you'd have yourself a prog-rock band wouldn't you lol :)

  • @waraxe101 ha Yeah, I realize that, and that's probably why I'm not huge into Shoegaze.

  • @ObscuredJellybelly

only shallow is better. listen nao.

  • So I was curious about My Bloody Valentine. This is the first song I hear. HAHA IT'S AWESOME! Gonna listen some more!

  • Always makes me think ov Zelda: Twilight Princess

  • @baaaaaa123 or more like ocarina of time or link ot the past... the better zelda games imo lol

  • @playaeyez17 No way man, definitely TP. That distortion has a definite "twilight" sound. Anyway, I've played through all the Zelda games on consoles since LttP multiple times and they are all AWESOME!

  • @baaaaaa123 This song also kinda reminds me of a song that'd be in Final Fantasy 7. ZELDA FTW!

  • don't close your eyes when high while listening to this... all I see is an orchestra of Wookies and Cavemen in some haunted mansion....

  • When drummers make music...

  • mtv europe actually used this music in between commercials and showed some wierd video effects and stuff.

back when mtv was still something relevent

  • i think i like it haha this ones so weird how interesting

  • lmao legend of zelda?

  • MBV was the best hands down If you know shoegaze most likely you've investigated & will agree or present a strong argument hopefully. Slowdive's "Souvlaki" album was the very Second BEST SHOEGAZE ALBUM It still could barely nipp at the heels of "Loveless" but.. what can!? lol. I love this era, style & this genre.. forget labels this is good music=has SOUL..nesting you STRONG in your 90's memories & better days..manufactured crap never molds for days but good food molds If not ate fresh you know!

  • @playaeyez17 Loveless takes it all, then imho goes Chrome by Catherine Wheel, Whirlpool by Chapterhouse, Souvlaki by Slowdive, Delaware by Drop Nineteens, Silver by Starflyer 59, Doppelganger by Curve, Nowhere by Ride, and Im not considering neither Siamese Dream nor Pisces Iscariot as sheogazing records...

  • @dimarziotonezone23 good choices those are all great... and yeah Siamese Dream Is not shoegaze or any of the last ones, Billy Corgan was just seriously Influnced by MBV so much he tried... but adding a thousand diff chopped feedback distortion effects.. Isn't why MBV made the record they did or how they did It. It's beautifull how such a masterstroke It was,It couldn't be duplicated...Brian Eno had to help slowdive out on "Souvlaki Space Station" and still failed to duplicate It (brilliant tho!)

  • @playaeyez17 Yeah I know BC was greatly influenced by MBV, anyways, I consider Siamese Dream a masterpiece haha... First time I heard Souvlaki Space Station I was overwhelmed by the feeling it gave me... there are 2 other shoegaze bands, I think Starflyer 59 and another one, that has a song that includes "Space Station" in its name... a shoegaze complot? Haha

  • Anyone who likes this I advise checking out Slowdives Slouvaki (the second best shoegaze alabum ever made It's NOT ride's "nowhere" thats for sure imo, It's good but not second) And kinda offbeat choice here but hidden gem The Verve's"A Storm In Heaven" which is far betetr than Urban Hymns (Lets face It that albums only a classic based soely on the masterpeice song "Bittersweet Symphony". The only instrumental I can think of good as this would be Air "La Femme De Argent",best ever maybe, LISTEN!

  • @playaeyez17 Chapterhouse, whirlpool is the 2nd best ;)

  • @playaeyez17 Souvlaki is an amazing record. Nowhere, Loveless, and Souvlaki, in my opinion, were the three best shoegaze albums (no particular order). What an underrated era

  • @weezadam agreed, so underrated. But you did see shoegaze really make a new type of comeback In some artists this decade... the Influence Is clear... but also unlike other cycles and comeback sounds... It's just not the same... nobody now who sounds "shoegaze" Is even half as good as the late 80's-mid 90's shoegaze groups before It died. I just want kevin shields to release his follow up already!. The albums stature Is well enough known now where It's not a risk. Nobody expects another Loveless

  • this song is simply AWESOME! NEARLY THE BEST SONG IN THIS WORLD.

  • opiates/ this song = confusion~!!!!!!!

  • Chewbacca is constipated. Me thinks.

  • I can't help but think that this sounds like a blend of a dying Wookie and a distorted melody you'd expect to hear from a PS1 Final Fantasy game.

  • @AnimeGuy9 Ironically the very name of this album was in Final Fantasy's most popular entry= in the opening of the groundbreaking Final Fantasy 7 as It zooms into the intro night Midgar city & Arieth walks out the alley , about to cross the street, It says CLEAR AS DAY "My Bloody Vlentine LOVELESS" on the corner building... now is that a coincidence? or just a masterpeice of a masterpeice inside whats widely regarded as the greatest 90's rpg game (or maybe of all games still) ever made?! lol..

  • @playaeyez17 Holy shit, I never knew that!

  • It sounds like a distorted version of Derrick May's melodies of that exact era.

  • Shopping Mall Lift, Chewbacca, plus Voodoo Dance

  • It's so creepy but beautiful.

  • I really, really enjoyed this track when I'd had my molars removed and lay in bed on hydrocodone. It captured the mood beautifully

  • by far the best song on the album

  • creepiest song ive ever heard

  • @AceOfHearts101 It's fucking beautiful <3

  • sounds like zelda

  • Bush jr.'s liquor binge?

  • touched by name, touched by nature, touched by genius

  • Perfect beginning to a movie about a serial killer?? :P No, but this is beast!!

  • wtf

  • This song would be great for a Western genere movie, like those made by James Coburn or John Wayne. i think would fit perfect in a love scene.

  • Kul

  • this is the only song from them i like

  • broken ass Casio...jam the batteries in the wrong way...Fuck!

  • Sounds like someone is spanking an elephant with a synthezeizer. Terrifying

  • very fripp-y.

  • The beginning is really atonal but the end is beautiful

  • This whole album is priceless.

  • this is my favorite 57 seconds of the record

  • Rofl sounds like an elephant on LSD

  • Actually, one time at the university of Oklahoma, three guys gave an elephant 297 mg of LSD by injecting it. They wanted to see if it would induce "musth," a naturally occurring state where elephants get violent and uncontrollable. Instead, the elephant died. 13 mg of LSD orally is the lethal dose for most humans.

  • @EMKTTHL ;Yeah, when you think about it, it's actually pretty cruel. Seriously, WHY would anyone give an elephant LSD? What is the use? Especially if there's a chance that the poor animal can die. I heard that the second experiment succeeded but the elephants just sat around and made funny noises. So what does that prove? That elephants can get high too? Did an elephant have to die for us to know that fact? We're fucking our mother nature in the ass and one day she'll let us pay, mark my words.

  • @Anandfulness ah sure mother nature likes a bit of anal ;)

    btw such a tune!

  • @dextrana08 ಠ_ಠ

  • @EMKTTHL you know I joke :)

  • i only said muy para abajo

  • 美しい・・・

  • Greatest album of It's genre EVER. This was just as revolutionary as Nevermind (Nirvana) they both came out mere months apart in 1991, yet this is obviously TIMELESS and sounds pristine!... It never ages... and ever single song including the interlude, the name of the album hell even the abstract cover art... simply titled "Loveless" fits perfectly!. This album is so serious It really is near tangible- digital intimacy being imitated on a record!. Landmark/Masterpeice!

    Even MBV cant outdo it!

  • @playaeyez17 Nirvana suck

  • @AlecEntwistle Do us all a favour and put your penis in a pencil sharpener

  • This fits in perfectly with the rest of the album, so woozy and loud. I adore the entire record.

  • Sounds like the music you hear in Donkey Kong 2 when your in that swamp level :)

  • starting at 0:33 you can sorta hear the riff to "I Only Said" floating around in the background... such a dreamy song but a little scary

  • @forkv Plagirism

  • @ forkv

I know what you mean, I have always been a little on edge with this tune. It has a nightmarish sound to it. When I am in the middle of nowhere driving at night, I always skip this tune. XD

  • always thought it sounded like a super nintendo

  • Yeahhhh! hehe i thought that too, its sounds like an old RPG game.

  • Comment removed

  • I heard he took instrumental tracks from the other songs in Loveless and mixed 'em into this.

  • This sounds like an elephant dying at a fancy restaurant. Not like that's a bad thing.

  • @EMKTTHL But it is still beautiful, isnt it?

  • @EMKTTHL LMAO!!!

  • @EMKTTHL I laughed very hard at how exact this is.

  • i read that this song was done entirely by Colm, no other band members participated in the recording

  • If there was going to be a remake of Jaws, this should be used in it.

  • Haha I love this song!!! Every time this came up (0:16, I used to listen to this album alot when in the dark), I was kinda scared. Lol.

  • sounds like chewie is having a bad day.

  • You sir, made my day just now.

  • This is the first comment that has ever made me laugh out loud.

  • I laughed so hard.

  • my eyes are runny as i laugh like drainage system

  • @papertigertrap hahaashahahaha

  • @papertigertrap that chewie comment made me laugh out loud!

  • One of the most unique instrumentals ever! And beautiful.:) Thank you for posting.:)
